Seagate Roofing and Waterproofing

Thought we had gone with a great company for basement foundation work. Tom W the sells guy was honest and amazing. They came out in October 2022 and completed the project in 5 days we had no issues. They took out our old tile and crock and installed new. At that time the water table was down well fast forward to March 2023 water table is high and we realized we were pumping sand out of the crock. Seagate came out and admitted they installed the crock wrong-which was washing away the foundation. 3 days later they came to the house installed a new crock and then said they would come back in a couple of months to finish the job when the water table goes down. Well here we are today and Tom Elder the owner is busy with "Point Place work". Looks like he only cares about new customer and not old customers. I would becareful using Seagate-make sure you do your homework!

I needed a new roof on a house. I contacted Seagate and met with a company rep. George. George reviewed the job and explained materials to me and the deal was closed a few months later. Outside of a few nails here and there and a bit of debris in the gutters I am completely satisfied.

Seagate was wonderful, they were ahead of schedule, professional, and easy to work with. I would turn to Seagate in the future should the need arise.

Seagate foundations completed sill plate and rim joist work on my new house purchase. They scheduled the job within a short time of quoting the repair and did a great job during the repair. They made me aware of all findings before proceeding with the work. They also took pictures before, during and after the work which were shared with me for future reference. Overall They did a great job and I am 100% confident in the work they completed. I actually had them come back to quote another job on my property after this job as well. Tom came to quote the job and took extra time at my property to fully explain and show what work would have to take place to fix a foundation issue. Along with this he also provided 3 different options to complete the repair and talked me through the written quote so I could choose the best route for our property. Overall I had a great experience working with seagate and Highly reccomend using them

Dustin and co-worker did a superb job replacing the damaged shingles around my electrical mast. They also re-anchored the mast back into its original position, replaced roof boards, installed a heavy-duty boot around the mast, and laid new shingles. Their photos taken of this job from start to finish document their excellent workmanship. I especially appreciate the 2-year warranty. BTW, Seagate previously re-shingled my entire roof, installed roof ridge vents and ice d*** membrane with the same high-quality work.--Tom Schoen, Toledo, Ohio

Seagate and crew leader James were wonderful. The gutter installation team was also great. I will recommend them to anyone who needs roofing work.

Seagate hauled in 10 ton of gravel by hand in 5 gallon buckets and fixed all problems with crawlspace that the previous owner did not want to do. Seagate tore off old roof and leaking skyline and reroofed house in one day. Also what the previous owner did not want to do. Seagate pricing is great compared to some other companies. Their workmanship is excellent. Their staff and workers are friendly, courteous, and professional. I also used seagate for a previous home with a leaking basement. Seagate fixed the problems with a lifetime warranty. I would highly recommend Seagate for any home problems that they specialize in.

Seagate roofing did a great job replacing the roof on the front half of our house. Even with all of the obstacles (delays due to weather, back ordered supplies, smaller crews, etc.), they still got everything done as quickly as they could. They were very straight forward about the quoted cost & timing. We haven't had any issues with our roof since, and we are considering having them replace the back half of the house in the spring.

They did an excellent job on our basement work. They didn't push a project they wanted to do and instead gave options and allowed me to pick what I thought was best for us and our home. They have been helpful and courteous throughout the entire process. Would highly recommend.

The exterior work was extremely well done. The workers were professional and courteous and they did excellent work. The yard clean up and repair exceeded our expectations. Our one disappointment was the patch of the interior wall. The cracks were filled so they shouldn't leak, but apparently no thought was given to the appearance in what was obviously a living area. The epoxy was only roughly smoothed along the crack, with substantial sharp edges to each side. The repair would've been very unattractive even after painting. In a few spots the epoxy even had small sharp peaks that could easily cut someone if they brushed against them. Given the high quality of the exterior work, we were surprised at the sloppy work inside. As the interior repair was a very small part of the overall job, I certainly recommend Seagate.

We got several quotes for a basement foundation issue. While they were not the cheapest they were the most professional and the only one that offered a warranty on their work. Would use them again.

Went well. They were easy to schedule with. They knew the product. They followed through after the job to make sure everything went well.

Seagate waterproofed 3 of my basement walls on the outside. They were great at answering my questions and explaining what they would be doing and why. The crew performed fast, quality work and cleaned up afterwards.

All of the workers were professional from start to finish. I didn’t have to wait long to get an estimate. And when receiving my estimate, it was just about a “cheap” fix, it was about what would be best for our foundation long term, but still affordable. The men who showed up to complete the work were approachable, nice, and professional. The men worked quickly and efficiently. We would definitely use them if again if ever needed.

Seagate did a great job with my roof repair. My roof was actively leaking and they made it a priority to get my repair completed as soon as possible. The roof repair specialists were professional and even inspected the health of my entire roof. They took pictures and showed me what they were doing and even showed me some problem areas to look out for in the future. Overall a great experience, I will definitely be using Seagate for my future roofing needs!

Deb talked about the product and was able to answer all questions and got us set up quickly. The installers were nice and answered any questions we had and cleaned up after themselves and did a very good job

Very well. They were very specific about how they would go about the job, both verbally and in writing. The estimator seemed very experienced and knowledgeable. The actual workers were very professional and competent. There were no unpleasant surprises. A neighbor of mine had used them, and she gave them high marks, which made me feel comfortable and confident that they were going to be the right choice for me. I was not disappointed.

Siding and gutters look great. No pressure from sales rep. Lower price than competitors and didn’t try to sell me what I didn’t need. Had some structural issues with my house they found and helped me get it fixed so they could complete the job. House looks so different people think I tore old one down and rebuilt!

Very professional salesperson. NO pressure sales approach and respectful to me and my wife (unlike EverDry’s sales approach from 1960s). They Got project done when committed to and left area very clean. Would definitely recommend Seagate and use them again.

In June 2020, a very large tree branch fell on my home with damage to my roof and siding and knocking the chimney down to the ground. I live 4.5 hours from Toledo and since I was not going to be able to be onsite for contractor selection directly, I relied on recommendations from various resources, looked into reviews for each, and communicated often with my father who acted as my eyes and ears while I was away. Dad also provided extra insight as he was in the construction trade for 50 years so could talk-the-talk and walk-the-walk. Of course, his is my most trustworthy recommendation and I value his opinions and guidance, especially in this unexpected and unfortunate circumstance. We chose Seagate based upon this information. I was looking at a whole new roof, chimney rebuild, new siding, window cladding, awnings, and shutters. Things moved along and, given the coordination efforts that need to be made with various subcontractors and weather conditions, delays were understandable…after all, mine was not the only job they are all working on. Throughout the five-month project, there was a period of time when it seemed communication stalled and work came to a halt, neither my father nor I had been provided a status of the job. It wasn’t until I reached out to the project manager to get an update. After a few phone calls on both sides, we were able to get back on the same page. The stall wasn’t related to the major work like the roofing, siding, or chimney, it was more that there were manufacturing and delivery delays that I wasn’t aware of for the awnings (& wouldn’t be since I wasn’t directly involved with that behind-the-scenes responsibility) and there were a few smaller items still to be fixed. This is not meant to demean the work done overall, but more of a suggestion to inform the customer when such instances occur simply in order to let them know they are not forgotten. From that point forward, communication greatly improved between the project manager, Dad, and me. I was given the project managers cell phone number for direct access. When the awnings came in, they were the wrong color scheme. Yes, I was disappointed; however, mistakes happen and I was reassured that I would get what I selected. The correct awnings were received in a timely manner and all was back to expectations. The remaining items were finished within a few days as well, making the job complete. While there may have been a few bumps along the way, they were promptly remedied which restored my faith in the company and I would choose them again for exterior work. Incidentally, when it came time to sign-off the job and the final invoice was received, there was a discrepancy in the total amount from them as compared to my insurance company’s final numbers for payment. The project manager and office staff promptly resolved the issue after communicating directly with my agent and final sign-off and payment was recently taken care of. Thanks to Seagate Roofing and Foundation and their subcontractors, my home now has a brand new exterior which I am extremely grateful for, and proud of, due all of their work.
