We met with two different salesmen. The first one explained the process and provided us with a cost. The second was the supervisor for the first salesman. He explained the process again and we discussed price, I was able to get the price around where I wanted it. We signed on the dotted line, as it were. They provided financing through Wells Fargo, I am not happy with the interest rate but I plan to refinance it. Five days prior to the project start their superintendent called to verify their arrival tim adn inform us of who our foreman would be. Each day they arrived early, waited until we had lights on in the house and used our back door entrance since it was the closest to the basement, they did this to limit their tracking through the house. We have animals and they made sure that the doors were closed so our cats did not get outside. The work was performed well and quickly. The concrete has settled well and looks good. Once they were done they swept the entire basement, it has never been cleaner. We had asked them to replace our utility tub since it is extremely heavy and requires 3-4 people to lift it. They were more than happy to do so, upon completing the job they had forgotten to do this. We called them and the foreman returned our call promptly and apologized. They returned early the next morning to place the utility tub and even hooked it up to the water line for us since the concrete had dried. My husband and I were very impressed with the professionalism of the crew and the effectiveness with which they worked. We are completely pleased with their work.
Description of Work: We hired EverDry to perform basement waterproofing. We chose their patented system of work inside and outside the house. The work was estimated to take 3-4 days, each morning they were on time, early even. They removed dirt 36-48 inches down all along the house line except for where our porches were, once they removed the dirt they applied waterproofing to the house, on the inside they removed concrete along the outside perimeter walls and replace drainage tiles. Once they were done they filled the exterior with soil and gravel and the inside with concrete.

They canvassed the neighborhood after the big rain. I let them come in and give me an estimate. I had had my tiles replaced in my basement before. But they gave me an estimate to replace the tiles again and shore up the wall and gave me a discounted price of $12000. I signed the contract. But the next day I had a bunch of people telling me not to do it. Then I had somebody from the church come over and look at the wall. He said that it was not going to fall down anytime soon. I called them to cancel the contract. The first thing that the lady said was that it was on a bind. The guy came to cancel my contract and he brought his supervisor. I couldn’t get them out of my house. It took me 20 minutes of talking and I kept telling them that I was well within my rights to cancel within the first three days. I told them that I felt like they were pressuring me. I didn’t appreciate the fact what the woman said when I called. I told them that the person from the church was there right then. Finally they wrapped their things and left. That was a hard sale. They said that they would put me on a 30 day hold. I didn’t agree because I was obligated to pay after 30 days. They did respond pretty well.
Description of Work: I contacted Everdry Waterproofing for an estimate to replace the tiles in my basement last month.

They did good work and were honest with their work. They have 2 different crews and I think I got the better of the 2. Cleaned up after themselves. They were done in about a week - right on schedule.
Description of Work: They waterproofed my basement. Around 1 foot of my basement, they busted up all the concrete. They put in 2 different sump pumps (this was required because of the size of my home - 1 towards the front and the other towards the back). They also put in a new drain and recreated the floor around it with new concrete.

What I like about Everdry is the fact that they stand behind their product. Each basement is different, with different issues, if the system needs adjustment, Everdry will come back out and do whatever it takes to keep my basement dry. The crew also goes above and beyond duty. At the same time period that Everdry was out, I had had other issues with a sewage smell in my basement. A local plumber was called out the day before Everdry showed up, and the plumber told us what needed to be done, he asked Everdry if they could remove a section of theit outside system so the plumber could dig, and repair what needed done. Everdry agreed to do this since they would be out anyway. Turned out what the plumber had told us wasn't even the problem. The ever dry crew came out and dug down exposing the swage line, and the line was perfect. The crew had a fiberoptic camera and ran it down my line from the outside and inside clean outs to show me that the line was in fact not tile, and was not broken, like the plumber had told us. The ... that they stand behind their product. The plumber also had a similar camera, but didn't use his to run the extent that the Everdry team had done into my line. A member from the Everdry crew also recommended we get someone to run smoke down the line to see exactly where the leak was occuring because it wasn't happening where our plumber thought. That only costed me $79, and to fix the real issue with a different plumber. The local plumber we had out first wanted to charge me over $500, and he wanted Everdry to dig the hole for him so he ddn't have to do it. The Everdry team saved me a lot of money, and went above and beyond what was ever expected of them. Everdry is a company that I trust. They have nothing to hide and nothing to gain themselves from showing me with their camera inside the line that the line in fact was not broken like the origional plumber had insisted, and the exposed sewage line outside. They didn't like to see someone being taken advantaged of, and I am so thankful for the team right now. They took a lot of time out of their day to do as the plumber had asked of them and when they discoved what he had told me and them was untrue they came right to me with the news. I had them cover the hole and they reinstalled that part of the system. I got a different plumber to come out to get to the bottom of the real problem and fixed it. I tell you what, the next house we buy we are having Everydry come and install their system if it doesn't have the system in place already. It is money well worth cost, and the fact the the crews really do care about your home and the people who live there

When you have a water problem in the basement of your house you want someone reliable, trustworthy and professional to take care of the problem. When you have a water problem in the basement of your VFW Post, which is a commercial building, you want the same professionals to do the job. As Commander of my Post, I needed the right people, so I called Everdry. We had a buildup of hydrostatic pressure on our east wall, and with all the rain in our area, we started getting water in our canteen social area. We needed someone who knew how to fix it correctly, fix it fast so we could resume business. As a home owner who had work done in my home by Everdry, I knew they could do the job correctly and guarantee it. The Crews came in and worked diligently to try and eliminate the problem. They worked their tales off even when they ran into some unforeseen problems with the old building. They stayed until they found the correct solution to the problems, working with a professional attitude, and when they left everyday they cleaned up the area so that the Post could run business as usual. When you have a water problem in the basement of your VFW Post, which is a commercial building, you want the same professionals to do the job. I would highly recommend Everdry to anyone with a water problem, and I would not hesitate to call on them again. I don't care how many companies are in the phone book, EVERDRY is at the top of my list. Jerry Commander of VFW Post

Where they took the floor out, and when they replaced the cement they did not butt it up to the wall. They said because it needed weep holes. Why not butt the floor to the wall, and have weep holes where needed? ALSO, THEY DID NOT LEVEL THE CEMENT THEY PUT DOWN. The walls were what I called for in the first place, and I ended up having to pay afterwards to have that done. Update: They came out on 9/21/2010 and they agreed to fix the air vent, the cracks and shelves, and regrade the dirt. They did not agree to do anything about my floor tile, and also did not offer to give any money back. Also Nick said in the room that had shelves, that they could take them down and put them back. This was not done. Now, I?m without shelves. When I call the company, I?m always put back in touch with the same people, and I can never get anyone higher in charge. I believe that they took advantage of me because I?m a senior citizen and recently lost my husband. I would like my floor to be level and for them to replace the tiles they chipped. I think they should replace the shelves they tore out because I was told they could be removed and put back. I?m not happy with all the lies they told me or with the mess they left for me to clean. I had to clean up all the concrete dust and move everything back. My floor tile is chipped and the floor is not level. I wish I never had it done, and that they would have given me my deposit back. I believe they should correct things or refund me. My basement had always been dry and we never had a problem with water in it. There was a spot of water he showed me in the corner about the size of a quarter or half dollar, but the wall was dry. I hope they don?t do this to someone else.
Description of Work: On 5/6/2010 I signed a contract with Everdry. The salesman's name is Nick Caraway I believe. I had 72 hrs to cancel the contract, which I did by telegram. I then called Everdry and asked that they return my deposit. After that, Nick and another man came to my home and kept pressuring me, telling me of all the people they had done business with. I told Nick that I wanted my deposit back, that I had to cancel with a telegram so it would be done before my 72 hours were up. Nick then said they have never been canceled by telegram before. I told him it said on my cancellation notice. That cost me $58 or $60 to do that. I canceled because I really did not think I needed it done, but they kept pressuring and the next thing I knew they were going to do it. When Nick first saw me, he told me they would take two rolls of tile out and would not replace that. Also, they would move my things, cover them, then tape the cover to the floor to protect from dust. They did not tape down, and it was a mess. He also said they would move them back when done, which they did not do. Well, they took up more than two rolls of tile so more of it is missing. They also chipped my tiles so it looks bad. My tiles were old, but decent.

Everdry has called twice since the original appointment, and both times, they refused to listen to me when I told them I was not interested. They just kept right on selling, as if my voice did not matter. I am greatly upset with their tactics and I have asked them to never contact me again, but I have doubts. A weaker person does not stand a chance!
Description of Work: We asked for a "No obligation" estimate to waterproof our basement. Salesman came, inspected in and out, and showed 2 pictures of cracks in our foundation, one of which I was aware of and the other does not exist. Salesman did not want to leave the primises until we had signed a commitment. VERY STRONG closer. I was almost rude in asking him to leave.

I still think I was sold much more than was needed. However, if the basement stays dry, it will have been worth it. I would highly recommend multiple bids, however, an error in judgment on my part. I believed the salesman, signed up without having any other bids - and, in fact, canceled the other one I had called for a second opinion. The workmen and most of the contacts were very professional and cleaned up after their work. There was only one individual, a job supervisor, who was very irritating and not at all helpful.
Description of Work: I purchased a home with a history of flooding in the basement. There was a small leak in one wall and problems with a floor drain that backed up with heavy rains. I contacted Everdry to see if they could solve the problem and was told by the salesman that with trenching inside and out, waterproofing the walls, repairing any floor cracks, filling in the drain, and putting in a new crock with a dual sump pump arrangement that I would have no more problems. While I felt this was very expensive, I also felt it would be worth it to make it additional livable space. The workers said that the floor drain could not be filled in, but that it would not be any problem. Six months later when the basement flooded again from the floor drain I called Everdry. The first representative who came out told me that it was not their problem and that I was simply in the same boat as many others. After filing complaints with Angie's List and with BBB, another representative contacted me. This one was very cooperative and stated that while they did not normally do anything with drains, since it had been written into my contract, they would do what they could. In the end, after discussing the problem with the City Engineering Dept, they were able to seal and fill in the floor drain. I now have a dry basement.

He was very nice and was selling his products in the beginning. Then, about an hour into being there, he wanted me to sign up for credit and sign a contract that they would do the work. After telling him repeatedly that I wanted to check my options, he became pushy and I did not appreciate it.
Description of Work: I had a service man come to the house. He was very pushy, wanting me to sign a contract for $16,000, despite me telling him several times that I was not going to make a decision that day.

The man came and did his assessment of the basement, which, in the first 2 1/2 years, had no water problems. When he was done, I felt like the house was going to collapse, because of all the water that was in my walls. He gave me three options, one being excavation and another re-lining and re-doing the waterproofing, which also included dual sump-pumps. Not having to deal with this situation before, I felt willing to pay for the peace of mind and gave a deposit. The next day when I came to my senses, I had two other companies come in. One suggested some minor external re-grading on the exterior of the house; however, he thought the basement was in great shape and that I should cable the sewer line of tree roots annually. The second guy thought there was noting wrong and also advised cabling the lines annually. My neighborhood has a lot of trees and the roots can obstruct the line, causing a back-flow. I canceled with Everdry and went with the minor regrading all for $300.
Description of Work: After a flooded basement (April 2007), I called this company to get an assessment of the quality of the waterproofing. I was very vulnerable, because of the wet basement and not knowing the cause. They came up with the above outrageous estimate, that I was actually considering and even placed a deposit because I wanted a discounted price of $13,500. I was trying to buy peace of mind and not being an expert, rushed into a decision, which I later rescinded. I began to talk with neighbors, none of whom have sump pumps and all of whom thought that the price was outrageous. Needless to say, I will never call these people again. I felt taken advantage of by pressure tactics.
