It's hard to know where to start. There's more, this is just a sampling of what I can think of right now. Mismanagement of funds: We have the highest fees of any condo association I know of in this general area, with these amenities, and they continue to ask for additional money. Work does not get done, and when it does, it is of poor quality and the contractors chosen are personal friends. Now they want to make our pool much smaller, even though they have cut back hours so that there are very few usable swimming hours anyway, and this is to eliminate the need to pay a lifeguard. We have the best lifeguard who does not get paid much at all anyway, and we pay 200.00 per month all year to swim for the few hours the pool is open. The fees that Onyx charges the condo association for this mismanagement is much higher than the miniscule amount they pay our very experinced lifeguard. We began paying our water bills last year in order to avoid a rise in condo fees, and even though the association now does not have to pay the water bills for the units, they are asking for more money again. The worst customer service I have ever experienced: I've worked with people my whole life. It's just not that hard to treat people nicely and respectfully, yet the people who work for this company, namely Vida J. Burns and Carol, are some of the rudest people you will ever meet. They seem to be genuinely unable to be respectful, even though they are getting paid from our condo fees. I have been cussed at and spoken to very rudely, when I was just making enquiries. I have heard similar and worse stories from many of the other residents. Hubris: We have a car registration system that was recently put into place. I think that most people are ok with it because it is able to control some parking issues that were happening. Yet this company routinely has people's cars towed when they should not, when they are parked legally or when it is known whose car it is and there is a very valid reason that cars are, very temporarily, parked outside of the usual spot. There are times that extinuating circumstances exist. This is our home and we pay a lot of money, to have this company act like this? Also, refusing to answer questions when questioned about some of the many ways that the company is mismanging, to include ending a meeting when the questions get too uncomfortable.
Description of Work: This shady company manages the condo association for the condos I live in. Do not hire them or you will regret it. Our fees are 175.00 per month with an additional 300.00 per year to do some extra work that never seems to get done. It was supposed to be temporary (the 300.00) but it seems to be permanent to me.
