Our pipe burst due to cold weather Luis came in handles everything professionally and the hole crew did a great job.. Gerardo and Indigo came backed to do all the repairs to the walls, ceiling, and baseboard and it all looks great. They were very curtious and informative on what their plan was for the day with updates on how it was going and they really care about how good it looks not just to them but us too. Matched the color that we were going to paint the undamaged area and gave us the option of them finishing it for us. I really appreciate all the hard work these two did along with the behind the scenes employees to get the job done this far. Thank you!

Anne - Just wanted to say thank you to your and your crew for the amazing job they did with very little notice! Please pass this along to the folks at Belfor. It was a wonderful experience to work with a contractor who actually shows up and does the job like they promised. I was sincerely overwhelmed with the professionalism, timeliness and follow up that I received from your entire organization.

Belfor batted clean-up after a broken water pipe was fixed by Eco Plumbers (see separate review) and water damage/mold remediation was done by Restoration 1 (see separate review). Belfor assigned a site supervisor to the job who handled the carpet order and installation as well as the dry walling and painting. There was a minor problem with the carpet laying crew missing a few spots in terms of stretching the carpet the whole way to the wall, which the site supervisor quickly remedied by bringing another crew back out immediately. The painters who were subcontracted by Restoration 1 did a fabulous job and also are reviewed separately (RCI Painting).

It went well. They did the work on time and professionally. It took approximately one week to complete all the work. The house was torn up, that made things a little difficult, but needed to be done. We also had new steps put in and they look great.

I felt very comfortable working with them because they had to do the whole basement, so they were here all the time. They were very polite, very helpful and for the most part, they are very trustworthy.

We had raw sewage backup into the basement due to a leak in the city sewage pipe near our house. We called the Grange Insurance agent who recommended several companies to call for clean up of our items. When we first called Belfor they said it was not their type of work but they called back 2 hours later and apologized for the misunderstanding and agreed to come see the damage. The estimate they gave was about $1800.00 and they scheduled a time for removal within a week. The gentlemen they had come were very courteous and understanding. When we came upon an item with sentimental value they allowed us time to mourn our loss before removing the item. They even tried to recommend ways to restore the item instead of just disposing of it if at all possible. Due to the threat of mold and the fact it was raw sewage damage most items could not be saved. They did all the manual labor including hauling away all trash and carting away all else to be held in storage for a couple of weeks at their warehouse. Once the basement was cleaned they returned all stored items and stacked it neatly in the basement.

I was impressed with how professional they were. It was a good experience.

They were an insurance provider's preferred vendor. They wanted to replace the whole ceiling when it did not need it and they said the insurance provider would pay it. They tore down the ceiling and did not quarantine it. They also tore up the floor. The guy from the insurance provider then said not to let them back in after they had seen it. They did not fix anything and told us we would have to clean it up. My mother has been living with me for four years now. We have been going to court over this. My mother is so depressed and wants to go back home. The insurance company covered some of the cost.

When the work started, it took more than a month total as they would work some days and not others--the not infrequent issue with contractors. Overall, I did like the work done when it got done. I especially liked Tim who spearheaded the work. He was very accommodating with my requests (e.g. Running the antenna wire down the chimney and into the basement window). He also did some extra patching and painting post-estimate when I found additional cracks that I had missed initially on the ceiling and in the bedroom closet. I appreciated that.
