Dave does a great job. Safe, great clean up, thorough. Ground out the stumps deeply so we can plant new ones.

Dave (the owner) showed up personally to give me an estimate. I needed 4 medium to large dying trees removed from my backyard. This required coordination with the neighbors and removal of a fence panel for access. Dave gave me a very reasonable firm quote and a start date. He and his team completed the removal, and ground down the stumps in less than 2 days. Nothing was left behind, and the fence panel was reinstalled. I, and my neighbors are very happy with the work, and would highly recommend!!!

Dave did the work sooner than expected. it came out very well, and I am very happy with the price.

It was great. They brought in what looked like a machine you might see on Mars. A Remote controlled person lift that does not ruin your yard and can hoist a man to 83 feet. An amazing machine and an amazing crew. Worked hard, over six hours, hot sun, and cleaned up my yard afterwards. Dave has a top crew, that's for sure. Eric was amazing at workin' the bucket and trimming the trees so high up. Overall it was a very nice A experience. Thanks!

It took a couple of days and phone calls to get Dave and his crew out here, but I am so glad I did. they evaluated and completed the job on the same day. Very responsive. The trees look great! Would definitely hire again

Because I have a a wooded lot, I have a continuing issue with trees, so, I have, by now, used approximately four to eight tree services. Let me tell you right out front in case you do not read the whole review. DAVE IS THE BEST. That says a lot because about half or more or those guys I have used before are good and I would hire them again if I did not have Dave. Let me list some reasons why Dave is the best 1. Dave is very personable, likeable and great to talk with. 2) Dave responded almost imediately to my first contact through Angie's List. 3. Dave had no trouble working with me over a supplied email detailing the work needed done. Some of the other places had difficulty with the same list supplied to Dave. In the end, this was good for both of us because my work was kind of varied and was not something I could have handled easily from work, on the phone, without mistakes. It was good for Dave because he had a firm listing of the work requested. All he had to do was look the list over on a visit to my property and get a price to me. I also had the trees very visibly marked for Dave, which he appreciated. 4. Dave is very excelllent and flexible in working with any special needs on your job (within reason, of course). 5. Dave's pricing is very competitive and fair. 6. Dave is very meticulous about every aspect of the job, and the pride in his work shows, especially his cleanup at completion of the work. I am probably missing some things, but this already says a whole lot of good things about Dave!

Dave and his crew did a great job! Trimmed multiple trees and took a dead one down to my fence line. Cleaned up everything! Would highly recommend and will definitely recommend to family and friends!

The owner of the company was told directly do not drive your truck back into the yard it is wet. So what does he do?! Drive it on the neighbors yard and buried it up to the rear axel. This is not the kind of person I would recommend at all. Very rude and unprofessional along with a half hearted apology after he caused the damage. Good price but for a couple hundred dollars extra I would hire a professional. When he came back to fix he only put dirt in the holes. No grass seed or anything. I wouldn’t hire this guy ever. I am pleased with the work Dave did. He trimmed up a large River Birch and was very quick and skilled with his blade. He and his helper cleaned up the debris quickly as well. I had requested a branch be removed over the garage (over the phone when calling about the lack of detail in his estimate, and again when he showed up to do the work) and was surprised when he told me he was not planning to cut it off. He said to take a look after he finished trimming and if I still wanted it removed, he would do so. Upon completion of the trimming, I saw that the branch had lifted considerably above our garage, and agreed that his reasoning in not removing it was sound (it would have created a significant change in the shape of the tree). He let me inspect his work and took off another branch I pointed out on the spot. I asked if he would be willing to prune a badly placed crabapple tree in the backyard as well, which he willingly and quickly trimmed up as best he could considering its awkward placement. He did not charge for it even though I offered to pay extra since it wasn't part of his original quote. Pleased with his work, very pleased with the price. My only qualms are with Dave's quote and communication. He was not prompt at all in responding to phone messages (always got vm when I called). He left an estimate in my mailbox with no description on it. I had to call to get clarification of what exactly would be done and to be sure those items were included in the quote. When I called back to hire him, I did not receive a call back and had to call him again to see if he was interested in taking on the job or not (which I probably wouldn't have done if it wasn't for the price he gave). He did apologize and blamed it on an extremely busy schedule. He made sure to get to my house asap after that, which wouldn't really have mattered to me. I find responsiveness/following through more important than getting what I want done as soon as possible. If he had acknowledged my call and had to schedule me a month out, or whatever, it would be more acceptable than not calling back/taking too long to call back. I appreciated his going over the reasons for why he chose to leave branches (again, the one I originally wanted removed would have created a hole in the tree structure that ended up being unnecessary; another branch had a birds nest in it), and he did not go higher up in the tree to remove dead branches/ingrowth, as I expected, which he explained as such: opening up the canopy too much would destroy the protection from the hot sun. Whether that is true or not, I don't know, but it seemed to make sense.

A month ago I contacted the company and within a few days the owners daughter came out to give me a written proposal of $625 which I accepted. She told me her father would contact me to schedule a day to come out. About a week later in the middle of the afternoon I got a call from Dave that he wanted to come out to do the job. When he arrived he looked at the trees and said my daughter gave you this proposal and he shook his head in disgust but said nothing. He said their was more there then he expected and couldn't do the job in the time left in the day and would have to reschedule for a full day. After two weeks of not hearing anything I called to see if he was going to come do the job. Dave said his daughter underpriced the job and he could not do the job for what she quoted. Why didn't you tell me that when you were at my home instead of lying to me saying you were coming back knowing you had no intentions of coming back and not even calling me to give me the professional courtesy to tell me you couldn't do the job as quoted. VERY UNPROFESSIONAL

They removed one tree and the service went very well. They arrived on time, courteous, cleaned after the job and had a good follow up.

Dave and his team arrived, assessed the task, and quickly (and safely) went to it. They pruned the limbs hanging over my garage and property, removed the branches and limbs, and did a thorough cleaning of the area. As an added bonus, he removed a small bush that was growing next to my garage. I would hire this company again. They do excellent work. A joy to work with.

It was, essentially, an all day job on a windy day. No problems cutting trees down. Excellent clean-up of large tree parts, small twigs, pine needles, and wood grinding. Leveled off the hole where stump was ground into chips. Dave is very accommodating to my requests. There was a bit, nominal, grass damage due to dragging a large, heavy section of the tree and equipment maneuvering since the ground was a bit soft due to recent rain. I would hire again. I thought the price was very reasonable. Another contractor, who didn't have all the equipment Dave had quoted me at $3,500. Dave's price was $2,000

I must say, Dave was amazing to watch. He may not look like he knows what he is doing, but don't let appearances fool you. He is a master at cutting down trees. My huge silver maple was about 15 feet from my house in the front yard. I have several ornamental trees and bushes planted in the front of my house and he didn't touch any of them with debris, quite unbelievable. I would and have recommend him to anyone. The reason for the B on professionalism is that he was a little mad at his help, of which he just hired and they really didn't know what to do. He directed the helper and didn't want him to get hurt so maybe that is why he was so straight forward and a little crass with him. I dunno, Dave is a nice guy and does great work. I can look past this professionalism with the work he performed to perfection!

I was very pleased with the job and responsiveness. I will definitely call Dave's Tree Service if I need work done in the future.

I contacted Dave's Tree Service thru Angie's List, received a quote of $75 for the stump and another $25 if I wanted surface roots dealt with. I agreed. Dave showed up on the morning of May 11th, and had the stump and roots ground out in about 15 or 20 minutes. He raked and cleaned up after the work was done. I even got a $10 discount due to his Angie's List coupon, so the job only cost me $90. My rear neighbor came over and wound up hiring Dave to do a large pine tree stump in her front yard. I am totally pleased with Dave's work and would not hesitate to hire him again.

Dave was completely professional from the beginning to the end of service. They removed four trees and stumps, trimmed others, and removed another 10 stumps. The two-man team was extremely skilled and efficient. They even did several extra things that were not in the original quote. I will continue to use their service in the future, and would recommend this company highly.

They do an excellent job and do the more complicated yard work for me. I will definitely recommend them and absolutely use them, again.

So happy I hired Dave's. Dave+crew took down a huge (60ft?) maple that was taking up my whole back yard -- it was like 6 trees in 1 -- & they did it in 1 day (amazing!), then came back the next (Saturday) to grind out the enormous 6ft stump. They even fit in my neighbor who wanted some work done (tree removed, 5 trees trimmed). I shopped 4 other tree service companies & Dave's was the most attentive & the least expensive (by $900). I had a good feeling when talking to him about the quote that he knew his business. Great customer service, had all the necessary tools & equipment, very reasonable price, & outstanding results. Dave's is my first choice in the future for any of my tree service projects.

They let us know a day in advance when they wanted to come trim our trees. They were careful not to damage anything on the ground or the house as they were trimming our trees. We had a large birch near the house, and four good sized maple trees in our back yard that they pruned and cleaned out. They cleaned up everything very well, they were in and out in about two hours.

I had three trees cut down, one chopped (fallen), and the roof of the garage cleaned of brush in about 6 hours. Price was reasonable.
