DAVE'S TREE SERVICE

Dave's crew removed the excess branches from the tree and from over the garage. Now the tree allows breezes to flow through and sunlight on the flower beds but still provides the shade in the areas where we sit.

We had a badly neglected oak tree in our front yard of our new home. Brian came out the same day and provided us with an estimate that was $400 less than the first company that came out. He suggested we cut down the cherry tree that was growing very close to the oak, but we didn't feel any pressure at all (we did though). Brian and Dave worked quickly on the trees, cleaned up all the branches, and swept the sidewalks. They even went to the neighbors and ask if they wanted some low branches taken off an evergreen (I'm pretty sure they were going to do it for free). They left us the wood from the cherry tree at no additional charge. Very personable guys, professional and fantastic at what they do. The only downside? Now the tree looks so good, we need to do some serious work on our flower beds so they look as good as Dave and Brian made the tree look! I won't even THINK about calling anyone else for tree service.

This is the second time we have had Dave out to remove trees from our yard. Again, we got great service, a cheerful and professional attitude, and a great price. Dave was able to come out for a quote the same day we called, and was back early the next week to do the work. We are doing some major landscaping and needed overgrown trees removed from the corner of our home. This was especially challenging since there was very little space between the house, the neighbor's fence and landscaping, and several power lines. He got all three trees out safely and with no damage to anything nearby. He ground out the stumps from those trees plus three additional stumps around the yard. Since I mentioned we would be replanting a tree in that spot, he ground the first stump into superfine particles and raked it all back out. We also had two trees removed that had grown up through an old picket fence which bordered a neighbor's driveway. Again there were several other nice trees nearby, and Dave and team got them out without bothering the picket fence or any nearby plants or trees. The neighbor was also very pleased with the work and how clean the area was when they left. The neighbor noticed one small broken branch just as Dave was on his way out. Dave came back and trimmed that branch and a couple more to keep two trees from growing into each other. The additional trimming was not part of the original work we asked him to do (and I was a little surprised the neighbor kept asking for additional branches to be trimmed) but he kindly stayed a few minutes longer and didn't ask for an additional fee. We will definitely call Dave again when we need more work done.

I called for a price quote and Dan dropped off a written estimate the same day. Both trees and stumps were removed in about an hour, with very little debris remaining. Dan even gave me advise on how to level the ground and reseed the lawn.

I received an estimate within 2-3 days of calling. I was happy with their price and Dave told me he'd put me on the schedule for two weeks out. While he didn't call me ahead of time to tell me the exact day, I returned home from work on 6/17 and the trees were removed, the stumps ground, the wood I requested to stay was piled neatly in a corner and my yard was immaculate.

David did an excellent job trimming the tree. He was prompt, professional and cleaned up all the tree trimmings. The tree looked great!

The persond came out to do the estimate was very nice. He stated how busy they were but always attempted to do Angie's List sooner. And a week and half, later there they were. The job was done quickly.

Dave was very responsive to my first phone call and came out the same day to do an estimate. He walked through the yard with me to discuss what I wanted and we agreed that he would prune and trim up one large tree in the middle of my backyard and trim the lower branches of a tree that was touching the top of my garage. I had decided to get multiple quotes, but decided to go with him because he had the best price. I called the following day and left a message. I didn't hear back for a couple of days, so I called again and left another message. He called back the following day and said he would call the following week the day before he came out to do the trees. I did not hear from him at all the following week. I did receive a message from him the week after apologizing for not contacting me earlier. He asked me to call back to set up a time for him to trim my trees that week (2 weeks after the original quote). Shortly after I got the message, I had a call from my fiance' saying that Dave was already at the house trimming my trees. I found this odd, seeing as how I hadn't even had a chance to return his call. In addition, because I hadn't heard from him in over a week, I had pretty much decided to go with another company. Overall, the communication with him was poor. The pruning on the larger tree was nice overall, but there are still branches over my neighbor's driveway and I cannot tell if he trimmed the tree over the garage. The bill indicated that he only took care of one tree, which makes me think that maybe he didn't do the the one over the garage.

Made the initial phone call and left a message. Called back within a few hours. Explained what needed to be done. Got a quote over the phone and was out within two days to remove the stumps. Extremely pleased with the work performed and will be out in a week or two do more tree work.

I called and he came right away. He was able to do the work within an hour of me calling. He did a great job and cleaned up well after he was finished.

Dave was great to work with and In my opinion a bargain. He's flexible to adapt to do more or less work on the fly, and works quickly and efficiently. He's very concerned about doing exactly what will make you, the customer, happy.

Dave and his associate came on the day designated and at around the time they noted. We discussed what needed to be done, which inlcuded removing a couple of dead trees at the back of my property, taking down some leaning cherry trees, and removing debris. I also needed another tree pruned that was damaging the roof of my house and growing around the power lines. Dave even agreed to cut some firewood from the good wood only at no extra cost. We only talked for 2-3 minutes, and he and is associate went right to work. In fact, they worked almost 4 hours straight. (I'm sure they took a break at one point, but you couldn't tell). The firewood was cut, area cleared of debris, and firewood left. When done, he also took the time to anwer some questions about other tree issues I had. I have used them before and had no complaint then or now. I will use them again if needed. The best way to describe Dave is "focused", "diligent" and has a serious work ethic.

Dave was easy to get a hold of, communicated exactly when he wold arrive,showed up on time, and worked all day by himself to clear away the fallen tree. He raked up all small branches and left the wood in neat piles (as requested by us since we had family that wanted the wood). We would hire Dave again in a heartbeat! He was truly a pleasure to deal with during a very stressful time for us.

I had a very large oak tree that needed to be removed from behind my West Park home. I live out of the state and my home is very close to my neighbors, so I was very concerned with the work that was needed. Dave was very polite and professional from the beginning. He returned my call within 24 hours and had an estimate for me within another 24 hours. He talked me through the entire process and gave me his cell phone number so I could call him at any time to discuss my concerns or questions. I had several quotes and spoke very highly of the competition which is very admirable. He was unable to do the actual work because the tree was too large. We needed crane in order to do the work. He coordinated the entire job with Woodland Tree Service. Dave contacted him, went to the site and even went by after the job was finished to be sure the stump was completely cut down. He actually did the work and called me to confirm the job was complete. Dave did NOT receive a payment for his work and was excellent the entire time. I really appreciated his services and professionalism.

Called to ask for an estimate. It was at my house the same day. Service was performed within the week. Work was done to my expectations and clean up was perfect. The transaction was completely painless!

They did a fantastic job. They were on time. The price was reasonable. They even dropped off some mulch. The price was lower than I anticipated. They cleaned everything up. They gave me the estimate March 3 and came on the 4th to do the work. They were on time. They did the work and completed it in a timely manner. I was very happy with their work.

I talked to Dave on Monday and he was here on Tuesday to provide an estimate. I called him Wednesday morning to tell him I wanted him to do the job. He came and completed the job by 1 p.m. the same day. The job was done efficiently and exactly as desired. Dave and his assistant also removed a few other dead branches and cleaned up afterwards by raking debris that fell from the trees. I couldn't have been more pleased with their work.

We called Dave's on a Saturday morning and he answered the phone and told us that he could stop by and give us an estimate on Sunday. He called before he arrived, as promised the day before. (It had snowed really bad that weekend and he still made a point of coming out to give us the estimate.) He was very knowledgeable, honest, and courteous. Dave gave us a written estimate on the spot and explained what should be done to both trees. He said that due to the weather, if we wanted, he could fit us into his schedule within 2 weeks. He said that he would call the day before he would come out. Dave's estimate was almost half of what the other tree services had given us and he had better reviews and was much more helpful then anyone else we had seen. When we told him to go ahead and put us down he was able to take care of our trees within a week. He came out and trimmed them up while we were at work and did a great job! He cut down the dead branches and shaped the trees for us. The yard was all cleaned up and his work was impeccable. We called him up the next day and thanked him for the job well done. He stopped by later that afternoon for the money. (He would not accept payment up front. He said that he wanted to make sure that we were satisfied with the job he did first and only then would he accept the payment.) Dave was great to work with and we would definitely recommend him and use his services again.

Dave gave us the best estimate for the job. He was on time. He cut down the trees, then came back a couple of days later to do the stumps after a lot of snow melted. When he came back to do the stumps, my husband asked if he could also remove the bushes along the front of house. He did so the same day and ground those stumps also. The bush removal was 150.00 of our original estimate of 800.00 for the tree removal. making a total charge 950.00. Dave was very determined to make sure he cleaned up any remains of trees and bushes.

We were out of town that day it was on a Mother's Day and when we returned they had the tree down and it had only taken them a couple of hours. They were very efficient it was done and it looked excellent. There was no problem with the deck or the brick around it. I actually come from a tree service family so I know what it is like to do tree service. I have been involved for 40 years. It was much better then I had expected. They grind up the stump and removed all debris. I will defiantly hired them again.

We received an estimate to remove a tree significantly lower than competing estimates, so we scheduled the work. On the day scheduled, we had moved some trailers and equipment to provide room for the crane needed to do the work, but the work was not done. When we called to ask what had happened, they stated that they had showed up but the boom was broken and they couldn't do the work until it was fixed. Since then, we have asked repeatedly when the work will be done, and they keep saying they will do it but the boom is broken and needs to be repaired and they can't give us a date. We have decided to go with a different company.

They were perfectly good. They came as promised and did their work, and there were no problems. I would hire them again in the future.
