We thought the price was fine for what they did. They were on time and they just used their truck instead of climbing the trees. They were quick and didn't drag it out all day.

Excellent service, very fair price, professional and courteous and prompt. Cleaned up all debris and removed from job site.

My experience with Dave's Tree service was good. I called Dave on a Monday he came out that same day and gave me an estimate. He said he could do the work within a week. I told him any day that week will work since I am on vacation from work. Dave and his crew came out 3 days later. He called me in the morning and stated that he would be out that afternoon. He arrived at approximately 3:00 and the job was done by 4:00. They cut down the tree and and cleaned all of the sawdust from my neighbors driveway. I would recommend Dave's Tree service.

I called on a Thursday and received a call back on Friday. I described the situation and was quoted a price. I wasn't given an exact date and time for when they would come out but I did not need to be present for them to perform the work. They arrived Monday afternoon, performed the work for the quoted price in under two hours and were gone. The work was done well and they even took care of a couple of roots that I didn't see for no extra charge. I would have preferred to get an exact date and time but the result was good regardless. Would definitely use them again.

He did a very good job! They were courteous and cleaned up very well. I will definitely use them again.

He was excellent. This was all in the middle of winter. While it was snowing, he was grinding the stump so meticulously, I couldn't believe it. It was frigid outdoors, and he was seeing the job through total completion. He didn't just grind the surface stump but he went all the way down. I was so impressed by this. I felt guilty at what he charged us because it seemed so "over and beyond" the call of duty. He was knowledgeable, friendly, very professional, and affordable.

After the two trees were cut down, they cleaned-up meticulously. You would never have known they had been here. Davey and his crew worked fast and well together. They did everything I required and then some. I recommended them to my sister who was just as pleased. I would not hesitate to use this company again. My only reqret is that I didn't comment on their excellent work sooner because they certainly deserve the praise.

Dave showed up literally within two hours of when I called to arrange for a quotation. You cannot get much better than that in my book. He was professional and actually talked me out of removing four of the six trees I was talking about removing. He took the time to explain away my concerns and even asked about bushes around the house which he found out I was planning to remove myself come spring. He promptly explained how easy it would be for his crew to do, since they would already be there, what it would likely take me several weekends of hard labor--for not much more cost to the job. He was no pressure, professional consultation and easy to both talk to and listen to. I have not decided on the job yet especially with the new perspective from Dave so there has been no service yet. But, I ask myself and everyone out there--what is wrong with people these days who could find anything bad with Dave and or his company. I have used Angie's list almost exclusively in the past to find trustworthy and highly reviewed contractors because one it is a great idea and two I have no time to spend weeding out all the potential contractors to do work. It is a pleasure to be able to sign in and find a handful of highly recommended contractors for almost anything I need/want done. That said I feel I need to say something --one reviewer/customer on Dave's reviews must be "difficult" I'll say nicely to say the least. I admit I read all the negative reviews first to try and weed out contractors but I need to stop doing this because typically there are so few negative reviews that it is unfair to contractors to read them--there is always going to be that one customer who you just cannot make happy. I admit that there are bad contractors out there and we all should rip them for all they are worth if they are truly bad and not just having a bad day one time or whatever the case may be. I have bad days my boss still pays me, and I don't get fired for it unless I am just a bad employee period. I certainly don't pay the price for years to come again unless I am just a bad employee. Seems like there should be a two way street on Angie's list. This one customer has too powerful of a position over any unsuspecting contractor that may choose to offer them a service they wish to pay for. They have a potential to lose a lot of business from "difficult" customers. Hey Angie how about instituting a list for contractors to rate customers. Contractors can decide if they want to do business with customers just like the customers can decide to do business with the contractors. I'll bet there will be a lot less of both bad contractors and "difficult" customers. A win win situation

He called back right away, but we had a little trouble scheduling - the work got done a couple weeks after my first call. The work was good, thorough, and at a good price.

We have used Dave's multiple times in the past for tree removal and have always been very happy with his work. I was hesitant to call him about the ivy removal because I didn't think he did that kind of work, however, he agreed because he said he likes to help out his customers. He fit us into his busy schedule and completed the work when we were out of town. When we got back, I couldn't believe the job he did, it was amazing! I would certainly recommend him to anyone needing this sort of work done.

Dave and his crew took down four 20' Hemlock trees that had been planted too close to the house. They worked quietly and quickly. From start to finish took about 2 1/2 hours. They worked very efficiently taking down the trees while not injuring any of our numerous bushes. All branches were mulched and all trunk sections taken away.I was amazed by the complete job including a great clean-up and the price was a very good value. I feel that Dave really helped me while being very fair with his price.

Called to confirm the work was still scheduled and to let me know they would be at the job site in the morning. Arrived promptly, worked steadily and were completely professional in all aspects of the task. The work appeared to be performed safely and carefully. Kept me informed with what they were doing. The final job site appearance was very good. Checked with me to see that all my expectations had been met and then left the job site. I am quite satisfied and very pleased with the work they performed.

Dave and his staff (Chris, Dave, and sub-contacted tree climber, Tom) were all professional, respectful of our property, and highly skilled. We have a small back yard with a fence, shed, patio, etc. and they were able to take down the tree without incident. They worked all day and cleaned up as they went along. For the remaining pieces of wood that they were not able to remove that day, workers came the very next day to remove them, preserving our grass.

They were very prompt. Good communication, excellent work, and very professional. They gave a good estimate of what needed to be done and stuck to that plan. They cam when they said they were going to.

Everything went well. Dave and his workers were decent and able people. Tom, the guy who climbed trees and did the cutting, was really impressive, he was so strongly built yet very agile. Tom checked with me so that I got exactly what I asked done, no misunderstanding. Other guys did a good job cleaning up. Dave cut an extra, smaller dead tree with no extra charge, very nice of him.

Estimate provided within 48 hours of request. Service in 10 days. Removed immense standing tree, part of which had fallen 2 weeks ago. High tension wires in the branches and leaves. Needed crane, stump grinder, and chipper. Also big flatbed to take away big trunks. Crew arrived promptly, worked in a smooth and efficient manner, behaved like polite, considerate and responsible men. Cleaned up very neatly.We found this crew a pleasure to work with. Work was done by subcontractor. I would use either of them again and cannot recommend them highly enough. We found Dave's Tree Service on Angie's List.

I called several tree trimmers to remove three large pine trees from my yard. Dave gave a good price and and hauled away the branches, trunk and ground out the stump. Others would not quote doing a complete job.

From start to finish could not have envisioned a better experience.

I was helping out a friend with limited means, supplying her with names of tree services from the list. All the tree services in our area have been very busy because of storms, but Dave's came out within two weeks of her call, cut up and removed the tree, cleared other brush from her property (without her asking), and came back a few days later and ground down the stump of the old tree. She was utterly delighted with the quality of the work and the crew's professionalism, and insisted I let others know.

I spoke with Dave who provided a quote over the phone based on the dimensions of the tree stump I provided. I had a stump about 2ft in diameter so it was not a big stump but large enough to require assistance after several attempts to dig it out myself. Dave advised what days he had available based on my address and came out within 2-3 days to remove it. The quote was right on and the stump was gone within minutes. The men had a board to minimize the area exposed to wood chips as they ground the stump and cleaned up after themselves. Service was prompt and I was pleased with the result.

Dave and his crew arrived on-time and were courteous and professional. There was a brief discussion regarding the original estimate after a closer look at the job. Nevertheless, Dave honored his original estimate without reservation or pressure. He and his crew did a wonderful job and cleaned up the yard afterwards to ensure minimal disruption to the property. I will definitely call him again.

This is not the first time that Dave has done work for us, and certainly won't be the last! We first worked with Dave last summer to have some yard debris hauled away and some stumps removed. While he was at it, Dave also trimmed a small tree so that the branches were not near our house--this was not something we had initially thought of, but we were so happy that Dave pointed this out to us. At this first encounter, Dave had mentioned that our large maple needed pruning, but he pointed out that it would be easier to do after the leaves had fallen. We contacted Dave about two weeks ago to get a quote on pruning the tree, and after a hard winter, we decided to also have an old hemlock removed. Dave went by the house the next day (while we were at work) and left a quote for the work in our mailbox. He also called to follw up with an explanation of the quote and to make sure we didn't have any questions. We set up for Dave to come by this past week--one thing we appreciate about Dave is that he is happy to do the work without us being home, which saves us from having to take time off from work. When we arrived home this past Wednesday, we found that the work had been completed--and looked great--and our invoice had been left in the mailbox. Dave has always been very responsive and professional, and we would highly recommend him!

went very well dave called and did exactly what he said he would do for the price he said. cleaned up like nothing had even been done. did not take any breaks worked from start to finish. worked with a helper. due to muddy conditions and our pool all of the wood had to be hand carried down th side of the house to the front. very labor intensive but done without any problems or complaints. I would definately use Dave's tree service again.
