DAVE'S TREE SERVICE

He is very pleasant and communicated well with me to see what I desired rather than it just being one sided communication.I believe his cost to be very reasonable. He also noticed some big issues with the tree, brought them to my attention and recommended a company to service that issue.

I contacted Dave's tree service a week ago and explained the tree location and size. He informed me he does a lot of work in Cleveland Heights and knows the area well. I'm writing this comment on the same day he did the work because he did such a great job and in less than 20 minutes. I was concerned about tree debris in the neighbors yard and did not want any issues. He politely sent me before and after photos so I could see exactly what he did. In addition, the property is rental and I live out of state, so it is very improtant to me that work is completed as agreed and in a timely manner. I'm happy to recommend Dave's, he did a great job!

Dave and his assistants did an excellent job. Both trees were near our wood fence, and close to several pine trees. By making careful use of ropes on the limbs, Dave and his climber managed to avoid any damage to the fence, pine trees, and other small trees and nearby flower beds. They also did an excellent job of cleaning up after the job was complete.

The work went perfectly. Dave and his crew really know what they are doing and have all of the necessary equipment and experience to get the job done and protect the yard in the process. These trees were thoroughly rotten, on property lines, above fences, and next to other landscaping. The guys brought them down without damaging anything, even nearby trees. Dave was also nice enough to take down a few limbs and other things while they were here. They did their best to protect my yard too and it came out nicely. One thing in particular that stood out for me and really demonstrated how professional they are was the amount of care they put into the job all day. They were here until after 8:00pm and I imagine they were pretty tired. Still, they did just as good of a job grinding the last stump all the way down and cleaning up after the last tree at 8:00 as they did after the first one in the morning. In other words, they did not cut any corners. I will be calling them again.

Called Dave for estimates. Dave was able to come over the next day and give me separate estimates for two stumps that I needed removed and I also had two Pine trees that needed to be removed. Dave and his crew did a great job from beginning to end. They showed up while we were at work -removed the trees and ground the stumps and cleaned up the area. Great Experience from beginning to end !!!!

Outstanding! Dave worked with us to schedule our preferred date. He and his crew began work yesterday at about 10 AM as to not disturb the neighbors.They had all six large trees down and the debris removed by 6 PM. The clean up was completed and all of the equipment was removed by 6:30 PM. No damage to the yard, our home, our garage, the neighbors house or the nearby power lines. I was a bit concerned about our concrete driveway with all of that heavy equipment rolling in and out. But, I was pleased to see absolutely no damage. They ground out the stumps yesterday and once again they did not leave a mess. The efficiency of Dave and his crew is exceptional! The climber was a joy to watch as he skillfully climbed up a 60 foot plus tree and brought it safely down in sections in about an hour and this was a 85 year plus year Ash tree! That guy is a surgeon, at tree surgeon! Today, I had minimal work in leveling out the ground out stumps. It would have settled on its own but I took some to use as rich mulch in our garden. Yes, it well away from the house to avoid termites and ants. I cannot say enough about Dave and his crew. Our removal was preventative but I can only assume that they would provide the same excellent service for storm damage. I most strongly recommend Dave and his crew!

Brian arrived at the time that was given. He trimmed back 4 trees at the first property that was pushing up under the underside of the gutters. As he trimmed the first tree a huge raccoon came out of the attic, he continued working and finished the first job. Brian then came to the second property and trimmed the trees away from the house, cleaned the gutters, he even completed taking down a tree that I had started cutting down over a year ago. . Dave returned to the second property and completed the work. The work was completed, the quality was excellent, both Brian and Dave showed the upmost professionalism and the price was great. I have recommended Dave's Tree Service to several people including my mother and I would use them again and again. Dave, keep up the good work!!!A+ A+ A+ A+

He came out and he was a nice guy and looked at my three trees. He gave me an estimate of $1500. We had about 16 days of rain and my grounds have been soggy. Dave’s wasn't’t able to come back in our backyard with his cherry picker and later found out that he wasn't’t registered with the city. It would be on me if there was any residue. In the meantime I checked a couple weeks later and he didn't register and so I got some information about another guy who was registered and gave me a better price. I called Dave’s and told him he didn't get the job.

y I called Dave's Tree Service on 7/11 and met with him that evening. My problem was a large maple tree shading a large portion of my backyard and overhanging the back of my house. The tree had been cabled a few years ago and appeared to be leaning toward the house. With the major storms and winds we had of late I was afraid I was going to lose the tree. I did not want to bring the tree down and hoped heavy trimming would save it. Dave and his crew arrived on Monday afternoon and in a few hours the job was done and the yard completely cleaned up. This is the second time I have used Dave's services and would not hesitate to call him again.

Brian showed up at what had to be the very end of his day, the same day I called, to grind the tree stump. He was very professional and friendly, and did a fast and efficient job. Thanks Brian!

Professional crew; they did great work!

We were ready to put up our new 14' pool and realized the only place it could go was under our huge old overgrown maple. Unfortunately half of the branches would overhang the pool, and the canopy of it was full of old dead limbs that were stuck somewhere 30 feet in the air. Afraid for the future pool's well-being, as well as our own, we called Dave on a Sunday and left a message asking if he could please come the next day and give us a price. He did and quoted a price, then suggested a few more things he could do to clean up the yard while he was there. For $500 he took down 2 small trees, raised the canopy on the maple over the pool by a LOT, trimmed a bunch of very large overhanging branches in the back, as well as a large limb in the front yard that had designs on taking out the front of my house. He cleaned up the yard so well that when I came home from work I didn't realize that he had been there for a couple of minutes. Oh, and after we explained the need for speed, he did it within 2 days of the estimate. Could NOT be happier. The displaced squirrels, however, were not pleased although they have figured out new sleeping arrangements by now.

I cannot say enough good about Dave's Tree Service. They where careful not to wreck the yard since it had been raining. They came out when they said they would and finished when they said they would. They cleaned up so well you could not even tell they where there. I would have no reservations about recommending Dave's Tree Service to anyone. We have other trees that need taken care of and I will certainly call Dave's Tree Service back for this and for any future tree work we need. In the past we had been burned by contractors and it was so refreshing to find one that came out when they said they would and did what they said they would. We had 3 other services look at and quote this work. I could not be happier that we chose Dave's Tree Service. If there was a rating higher than an A I would give them that without a second thought.

Super fast response-in and out in a flash! Made time in their day to come and tackle my small job after a full day of other jobs that preceded it.

Dave was quick to respond to my initial call and provided a quote. He was very honest and said it was a healthy tree and really didn't need a lot of trimming. I called to tell him to go ahead and did not schedule a specific day or time since I didn't need to be home when he did the work. (We obtained a quote from another company that was higher-they did not return my call after I contacted them to talk about the price). He ended up being in our area on a Sunday and called to see if we would mind if they stopped by which was fine. He and 2 crew members were very professional-they set up cones to keep people back and they cleaned up every leaf of debris when it was done. I could tell they were being very selective in the branches they cut down too. I would definitely recommend them to friends!

Our Silver Maple was dropping giant branches and we needed to have it removed. It was located in very tight quarters and it had a couple gigantic branches that hung over our neighbor's new kitchen. This wasn't an easy job. Dave had a crew out and they spent 10 hours roping sections of the tree so they wouldn't drop any part of it anywhere by accident. It was amazing to watch. No question this was a seasoned crew. They had made sure all of the wires attached to the house were taken down and when they were done, Dave re-attached everything. It took Dave's crew a couple of visits to remove all the wood from our back yard, and this also wasn't easy because the back yard is fenced and the houses are very close together. There was a huge amount of wood to remove. When he was done, Dave and his crew cleaned up and bagged all of the wood shavings/sawdust. We have small rocks in our back yard, which further complicates things. The tree is gone, the back yard is cleared up and we will deal with the stump removal at a different time.

Dave and his team did a great job removing a medium-sized tree from behind my garage. He used his own bucket truck. His pricing is very fair (significantly less than other quotes I received). He went beyond the minimum requirements of the job by asking what other branches I might want removed (while he was in the bucket). He and his team removed all cuttings (using their own chipper). Dave's organization is small enough to be friendly, but big enough to own all the equipment they need to attack a decent-sized job like mine. Dave is a very likeable guy. He is extremely down-to-earth. He got to my project promptly. I recommend him strongly. You will receive fine service from a seasoned professional with the proper equipment--all at a good price.

I hired Dave's Tree Service based on their many positive reviews on Angie's List. I liked that it was an owner operated and supervised business as well. The project was removal of a large tree, maybe 70 feet tall? It was tricky though, situated at the corner of my garage, at the end of my narrow driveway, and surrounded by various power and cable lines. There was another nearby tree that also needed a large limb removed. Dave himself swung by and gave me an estimate, a very reasonable one at that. Good price, insured, bonded, owner on site... I hired him, and I couldn't be happier. Dave and his team showed up to remove the tree as scheduled, and worked hard all day. I think there were more cable/power lines than he originally noticed, but they managed to dismantle the tree perfectly, without ever jeopardizing one of the lines. And despite the extra hassle, Dave didn't veer a penny from his original estimate. They managed to get this done without any damage to my yard or my adjacent neighbor's yard, and they cleaned up so well it's like no one was ever here. I will not hesitate to call Dave's again, should I need tree service, and I recommend him highly to others.

Terrible. I called him on a Thursday and asked him to come out to look at the job and give me an estimate. He told me that he would be over Friday between 6:00 and 7:00 in the evening. When he did not show up by 7:00 I called and was told that he had forgotten about our apointment. He gave me an estimate and arranged to come over on the following Monday. He removed the trunk portions and ground up the branches. The problem came when his helper ground up the stump. I thought that I would have a pile of wood chips that I ould get rid of. Instead I have an area about 10 feet by 20 feet that is not level and is a mixture of wood and dirt with some attatched roots sticking out. It is impossible to plant anything in this mess. I am going to have to getsomeone else in to straighten out this disaster. He threw all of the small twigs and needles that were under the branches on top of the chip dirt mixture. I have a picture of the mess that he left. I am going to have to get someone else to clean up the mess so I can plant something there.

In a word: "great." They were good and very efficient. Dave, the owner of the company was here the whole time and worked along with his team. Helped me decide how much trimming to do but basically asked as we went along if there was anything else or what I would like them to do with respect to the amount and limbs to be removed. We accomplished exactly what we wanted and it was done extremely well. Clean up was thorough and when finished, could not tell of all the work that had been done. Dave and his team were true professionals and I would recommend them to anyone without hesitation. Good work done at a fair price by people who take pride in what they do. Thanks Dave.
