DAVE'S TREE SERVICE

Dave took precautions and covered our nearby windows and doors with large sheets of plywood in case of flying debris. The tree sat between our gravel driveway and an early 1960's patio of concrete stone slabs. We were tired of the tree roots upheaving the patio stones and we hired Dave to remove the roots since we were planning on getting a new stamped concrete patio. I had removed the concrete stone slabs from around the area where Dave would be working. Unfortunately Dave encountered chunks of stone buried around the roots and he was frustrated because they were damaging the teeth on his grinder. Afterwards, Dave asked for an extra $100 since he would have to replace the teeth. We settled on $50 which I thought was fair since he quoted sight unseen and encountered multiple large stones. A year later, we called Dave asking if he had any wood chips from a tree job he wanted to dispose of and we mentioned we had found an extra tree root buried from that tree. Dave responded within a couple of hours with a delivery of wood chips (much appreciated!) and sent one of his crew members to remove the extra root later that day! Very prompt!

We recently moved into a new home and knew the yard was horribly overgrown. We contacted several tree service companies to quote some stump grinding and trimming back two trees that were overhanging our roof and to remove a couple others. During that process, we discovered three trees were diseased and also needed to be removed. Dave arrived to quote at the time he promised and provided a very reasonable estimate. We booked him, knowing he had a two-week backlog. He called the other night and said his care was coming the next day. Not a lot of notice, but it worked well for us. Dave and his crew of three other guys showed up at the time he promised and worked solidly all day. As others mentioned, it's good to see the guy who owns the company actually out there working as hard as his crew. At the end of the day, everything was removed, stumps ground and debris hauled away. We were very pleased with the job and the cost. We would readily hire Dave again.

I called on Wednesday and scheduled an estimate for Friday afternoon. Dave showed up as promised and gave me a very affordable estimate. He was supposed to do the work within a week when he could fit it in. I was surprised when he showed up on Monday morning. They did all of the work much more quickly than I would have imagined. The work was done right and they did a very nice job of cleaning up after themselves.

Dave was super responsive on time. Many trees needed help because of local storms. At first Dave said he couldn't fit me in. Then, before I knew it, he was there with two other men in a truck. Cleaned up beautifully. Worked very quickly. I was surprised about how many branches came down! I guess it needed it. Dave did not talk to me before he began. We only talked on the phone. He worked so hard and so quickly I was almost afraid to go out. All the branches were chopped up.

He came out to see to give me an estimate he look in the back but was looking at the wrong ones he call me on my cell phone for I was upstairs. I came out to show him the two small trees that I was talking about. He gave me a revise estimate and was even willing to come back to cut the trees down which he did. He and also his employee were very friendly and helpful, I will use definitely use his service again.

Dave and another worked to raise the canopy on 2 Buckeye trees and to trim branches on a Pine tree to make it more uniform. The pine tree had branches that were hitting the next door neighbor's home, and Dave was able to trim those without impacting that home. After the work was completed, they cleaned up the yard of all leaves and branches.

I contacted Dave for an estimate and he was here the same day in the evening. His estimate was not the lowest, but he could complete all the work needed. The estimate that was slightly lower did not include one of the stumps being ground in a tight area. He offered to do extra trim work at no extra charge as well. The were several dead limbs on other trees in the yard that he cut down while here. He was very knowledgeable about the trees. He said it might be a 2-day job, but everything was completed in less than a day. I would definitely have him do tree work for us again.

I've used Dave's Tree Service several times and will certainly use them again ... I think over half of the neighbors on my street have contracted with Dave for tree trimming and removal. He does excellent work, very reasonably priced, cleans up everything. He (Dave) IS on every job and does much of the work himself. Yes, he is a small company with only one crew - I prefer it that way and I'll wait a few days rather than call one of the big commercial outfits. Dave has always been responsive and professional in all of my dealings with him. I'd be pretty skeptical of those few poor reviews.

He came on time, did the work fast and efficiently and left the property in great condition. NO PROBLEMS !

I have only good things to say about Dave's Tree Service. When the tree removal project presented an unforeseen complication, he arranged for larger equipment and looked after all the scheduling. The most remarkable thing was that he honored his original quote. To me, that showed incredible integrity. I highly recommend his service and will be calling him for future work.

I called Dave's because his listing said "owner on every job" He returned my call and said he would stop by to give me an estimate. He did. The estimate was fair, so I told him to do the job but I had an issue with the timing so we didn't schedule the date till July 10th. He never showed up. I called him, and he apologized, I told him "It's OK" and we rescheduled for next day, late in the day. Around 9pm (Dark), his employee showed up.....for an estimate, which I already had. It was the same....at least he was consistent. Around 9:30 Dave called and apologized again, saying that he was so busy that it was hard to keep up. I said "No problem", I'm a patient man. We rescheduled for the following Saturday...8 days later. Guess what....he never showed...never called...never got the job....never will again. I didn't call him back....I got someone else.

I called for an estimate for the removal of a tree in my front yard on Monday and left a voicemail message. Dave left a message on my answering machine which was garbled and hard to understand on Thursday. I called him back on Friday and left a voicemail that said I was getting 3 estimates and was waiting for his as he would be the third. Get this...he calls me on Friday and I say, "Hey, we're playing phone tag...how ya doing?" He then tells me that he got back to me 2 times(this was actually the second time), he was extremely busy working 8 days a week and that if I had another tree service to go with them and proceeded to hang up on me. Very unprofessional and rude. I've worked with contractors like this before...they get too busy and have no courtesy to the customers...stay away from this hothead....

I called Dave's Tree Service on July 7th to request an estimate. I received the written estimate on July 8th. I called again on July 12th to accept their estimate of $650.00. They showed up on July 17th, approximately 10:45 am. There were two trucks; one with a lift bucket and one towing a commercial sized chipper/shredder. One guy in the lift bucket used a chain saw to cut large branches; second guy hauled the fallen branches to the chipper, which blew the chips into the back of his truck. They cut the tree all the way down to the ground; remaining stump is just about even with the grass. They did an extremely good job of cleanup. They finished up, including the cleanup, approzimately 1:15 pm. Total time about 2 and a half hours.

He came over last week and left an estimate in the mailbox. They were in and out in a few hours. They cleaned up well and moved everything back where it was prior to the pruning. They were very professional.

Work arranged by phone. He understood what I wanted. Called me same day from the site and provided input on what he could do and what else needed being done. He did the work that day. Left bill where he said it would be. He did exactly what I wanted, was very pleasant to deal with, provided information that helped me make decisions. I will definitely use this service again.

We had searched Angie's list for a provider and based on previous revues wecalled on 6//16/14.His crew came out that day and was able to remove the tree the same day. It was the focal point of the street to watch how professionally his crew did the job. The cleanup was immaculate I have recommended his company to all my coworkers, friends and family.THese are top rated pros that know what they are doing. The owner of the company ground the stump be.ow normal grade and went after roots all the way to the sidewalk. This allows us to plant another tree that will bring many more years of memories to our frontyard.

He was very pleasant and nice. The other guy that came out was very funny and easy going. They made sure to clean up everything very well. I would highly recommend using this company and I will use them in the future.

Dave came a few days earlier than expected because he was in the area, This caused me some concern because a relative of mine wanted some of the wood and I did not know what pieces to save. Dave assured me that he would return and pick up all unwanted wood. However, my relative was able to come during the tree removal. The workers were very cooperative in cutting the pieces that were to be saved. In addition to removal of the tree, the stump was cut to ground level and my electric/ cable/ phone lines were cleared of other tree limbs. In addition, Dave removed a small dead cherry tree at no added cost. I was very pleased with how cooperative everyone was and they cleaned up throughly after the job was done.

i called Dave's on Tuesday 6/10/14 and asked if he could come by my property and give me and estimate of cutting the trees down and also removing the trees altogether, he told me he would be out on Friday 5/13/14. When Dave got there I was home and he told me because of the damage to the trees it would probably be better to remove them altogether. He told me he could do it now for $300. So, he cut the trees down and his team came out Saturday morning and grinded the stomps. Now,I can finally get some green grass and plant some flowers in my front yard. I am well pleased.

I had Dave's Tree Service remove 3 small trees from my front yard. Dave contacted me promptly and did the work when he said he would. He did a great job and when he was done, I couldn't even tell there had ever been trees there. I would definitely use Dave's Tree again and recommend them to anyone.

It took a bit to schedule the service as the provider was very busy and was only in my area at certain times. Once Dave cemetery out he was very friendly and professional. Very knowledgable about trees.

Dave was very responsive, which was great considering it seems like most tree services are not. He came out and looked at what I wanted done. I explained I wasn't looking to spend a lot, but needed some roots ground down, and a couple of small trees trimmed. He told me to name my price, I did so, and he agreed. He came out a couple days later, got the work done quickly and well, cleaned up too. Would use again, and will probably need to since I have a lot of trees.

It went okay. It took a little longer than we hoped to get started but it was a rainy summer. We were little misled about what trees were getting cut down for the price quoted but Dave worked it out. He worked very hard!

On May 18th, I called for an estimate, he came over the next day. Asked if it was ok if he stopped in when we weren't home if he was in the area and had the time. I said that I worked nearby and if he could just call me, I could be home within 10 to 15 minutes. On May 29th I came home and found the work had been done while both my husband and I were out. No one tried to reach me to let me know they were on their way. Overall the work was what we expected, however either my husband or I would have liked to be home when the work was done. The grinding of the large tree root had smaller branches that could have also been done and had we been home we would have asked for a bit more grinding. We

Excellent service. The tree was in a hard spot to get at and I thought there might be some damage to existing trees and shrubs but nothing else was touched. He also did some work on another tree that I had not even spoke to him about prior to coming out. Everything was cleaned up. Very professional.
