DAVE'S TREE SERVICE

We called for an appointment to have someone come and give an estimate to cut down two trees in the backyard and remove the stumps, clearing the area of roots and stumps for a patio room to be installed at a later date; and to trim back another tree's branches -which was the neighbor's tree- that were overhanging our garage. Spoke with Brian; he came late afternoon on a Tuesday and did an estimate. He also provided an estimate we inquired about for cutting down another tree that is behind our garage (we chose not to cut it down at this time). He offered to come and do the job the next day, Wednesday, as he was able to fit it into his schedule if we were willing on such short notice, so we agreed. His crew came in the morning while we were not there and cut down the trees as promised, getting as close to an existing fence as possible to clear above-ground roots. The tree with the overhanging branches was cut back to a good 10-15 feet of clearance above our garage. The job was well done, and when Brian came back later for the remainder of the payment, explained all of what his crew had done to meet the requirements of what we asked for. We were pleased with the work, his careful explanations, and pleasant manner. Our only quibble (relatively minor) was that even though the trees were cut down and stumps were removed with roots ground out as much as possible, all the mulched and overturned earth was left in low piles and mounds and not leveled or raked smooth. That is something we ourselves will have to do, and pick out any random small chunks of tree branches or roots remaining that weren't picked up (though we wouldn't expect every last branch or root section to have been found and hauled away anyway). Overall, though, we thought the results were excellent.

Dave was very responsive to my request for a quote, and was able to perform the service requested in a timely manner. He came out to look at the tree on a Monday, and came back on Thursday and removed the branches we were concerned about, as well as other troublesome branches in the tree. We weren't home when he and his crew came, but when we got home later that day, our yard and driveway looked better than they did before we left that morning (so did the tree)! It's nice to find someone who responds to phone calls in a timely manner, does a good job, AND cleans up after themselves. I would recommend them to anyone. This tree had been an eyesore in our yard, but with a little pruning and cleaning up, it looks better and healthier, and the branches hanging a few feet above the roof of our house are gone!

Service was excellent! Brian provided me a call 5 days before the job with an estimate, then 30 minutes before he arrived on the day of the job. He completely ground out the flowerbed, including 2 nasty stumps, and helped clean up the debris (raked and used a blower pack to push all of the debris from the job into a single manageable pile). He did such a good job that my neighbors walked out and asked him to remove a small tree and grind the stump for them.. which he did! This is the second time I've used Dave's Tree Service, and will continue in the future. Amazing customer service, solid work, and very friendly.

Got morning phone call to verify services to be performed. Dave showed up about an hour later with two man crew and all needed equipment. After going over the work to be done in person, they got started immediately. The tree taken down was in close proximity to all the utility lines running to my house, and the neighbors house, without any damage. Good clean up of the yard.

I called for an estimate and within a couple hours someone showed up. I got the estimate, agreed to it and 3 guys (Dave, his brother and another guy) came 2 days later, took down the 2 trees, ground the stumps and cleaned up well.

I received a quote on Sunday and had the trees gone by Tuesday. It could've have went any smoother. I live in the city and it was a very tight space between house and utility wires. They navigated it like true professionals.

I talked to Dave the evening of the 16th, he came out the afternoon of the 17th and gave me a verbal quote, said they could take down the trees either that evening or the next day. They arrived about 11:30 a.m. on the 18th, took down the trees, removed the debris, cleaned up, took a small stack of branches of other trees I had piled to take to the curb for the city to remove. Took about half an hour. Was the lowest of the 3 quotes I got (all from Angie's List referrals) and the earliest possible date for removal.

Dave and his team are very professional and organized workers. They were very methodical, and worked with my neighbor to make sure he was comfortable with what was going on. They were cordial, and were done in 5 hours. I would absolutely recommend them!!

The only word that really works is "amazing". Dave simply made a huge pine tree right up against my house disappear. Gone. Barely any sawdust. Timely. Efficient. COMPETENT. I would recommend him without reservation.

Their price was reasonable because they had to climb the trees and everything. They were very good. I was very pleased with them. I used them again for shrub removal at my mom’s house. The clean-up was good for the amount of work they had to do to get those trees down. They cleaned it up as well as you probably could have. I would recommend them to others. He was decent. I just thought they did a good job and I would use them again in the future.

Called Dave's Tree Service on a Friday to have them give us an estimate to take down a dead damaged tree and advise on our other trees. Brian came out right away and was extremely nice, professional and helpful. They had everything done by Monday. They did a great job and we would definitely use them again. By far way better than our last experience was a tree service.

They did a good job. The price was okay, and the process was very easy.

Called for an estimate on 11/24/14; gave the estimate on 11/25/14; performed the work on 11/26/14. All the work performed by Dave and his assistant were very neat and very good.

Dave and his crew did a great job of removing the trees and cleaning up. It was a big job and they were there until 7 p.m. The price was good and Dave was easy to work with. Very responsive and conscientious. Highly recommended and I would hire him again.

Dave came to my home and took a look at the tree I was concerned about. He immediately shared that given the nature of the property (very wooded lot) and the fact there the remaining portion of the tree posed no safety issue, he'd recommend leaving it. He then walked through the rest of the property with me and shared his feedback regarding my many trees - he suggested none needed to come down. I was pleasantly surprised that I wasn't about to have a $150o tree service bill and was extremely impressed by Dave's integrity. Almost makes me wish I had tree work just so I could hire him and his team!

They came out right away, and did the work for me quickly, and I was very happy!

When Dave and his crew showed up they immediately got down to the business of trimming the trees. They made sure to locate and mark any sprinkler heads in the path of the truck so they would not run them over. The three man crew worked like a well-oiled machine. The one in the bucket made the cuts while the other two picked up any dropped limbs and put them in shredder. What this accomplished was my yard looking as if they were never there.

Dave and his crew of 3 employees were very pleasant and worked very hard and efficient to do the job as specified. They also did an excellent job of cleaning up. All debris was removed, and they even cleaned the gutters and made sure all branches were cleaned off the house and the garage. We would use Dave's Tree Service again. .

Dave is passionate about his work. He strives for excellence and the results show it. He takes pride in his work, and genuinely cares about pleasing his customers. At my referral, he did similar work for my parents. They were also very happy with the results. I'd hire him again without hesitation. He's great!

This is the second or third time we have used them over the past few years and they are great each time. They gave the bid and we said let's do it and they got it done. They are clean, professional, and responsible. The work was done in a timely manner as well.
