Morningstar crew were extremely professional, polite, careful and thorough. They had impressive equipment that was in good condition. First, carefully propped up electrical, telephone and cable wires so that their truck could access our yard. Next, they blew all the leaves out of our yard so that their work would not press the leaves into the grass...SMART! Then, they carefully put down plywood in our yard for the bucket truck to rest on while it was on our grass so as not to leave divots in the yard. The crew obviously knew what they were doing and were very careful about their placement of dropping wood after it had been cut away from each tree. They were thoughtful about allowing me to get in and out of my garage and moved their equipment quickly as needed throughout the day. They did a thorough clean up around the entire house when the work was completed. Morning Star is a very classy company!

The job hasn't yet been completed, but the quote is one of the best I've received. I spoke with Greg on the phone, and he's being very accommodating with my schedule, which is nice.

They also cleaned up the yard when they were finished. The owner checked with us every so often, since he was overseeing the work. The phone estimate was $1214. Even though they gave a $250 discount for work done before April, the final bill was $1460. My wife argued with the owner about this. He was very apologetic about the discrepancy. We paid the $1460 bill. bit resolved that the next time we will obtain the estimate in writing--if that can hold any value. So, bad feelings about the final charge.

Went extremely well. Bob is highly knowledgeable about trees, tree diseases, proper tree care. Spent a lot of time first time out going over all our trees and reviewing the best way to care for them. In many instances recommended doing nothing and explained why nothing needed to be done (very refreshing) Then on appointed day had crew come and cut down three old trees (including removing debris and grinding stumps), prune several trees, remove dead branches on some, reshape some fruit trees for best production and ornamental trees for looks and to avoid touching house. Bob and his men were very knowledgeable and professional. They reviewed exactly what cuts they were going to make to be sure I would be satisfied with the result and they did exactly what they said they would do. They treated our property well. One thing I learned is that when you are considering removing an old or dead tree and replacing it, it is best to remove the tree and have a chance to look at the space and think about it before putting in a new one. Opening up the space gives you a chance to think about what you want there. It also turns out Bob knows a lot about what trees might be best in certain locations to have the appearance you want and a healthy tree after you put the new one in. They don't plant new trees but again it is very refreshing to get his thoughts on this when he has nothing to gain from recommending one thing versus another.

They did it very beautifully. It was no mess, they cleaned up perfectly. They were very pleasant to deal with. They came and gave their quotes quickly. They also have all the right equipment and they knew what they were doing. When they left, you would never even know they've taken down such a big tree. They cleaned out every single leaf. They were expensive but it was worth it.

This is an excellent company; this job was our third return to them over several years. Very professional--know their trees and how to take care of them. An arborist came 2 -3 days after I called and left a detailed estimate. I scheduled the work allowing a few days leeway. They did call to reschedule because several storms had made emergency work necessary. They came promptly as rescheduled. Morningstar completed its work in the time frame estimated, did an excellent job, and gave a white-glove clean-up.

Arrived promptly, did the work, avoided many electrical wires, and told me not to paint the house that day as much dust would be raised and the dust would stick to the paint. I didn't and that worked nicely. Cleaned up well and pruned a tree not on the estimate. Nice crew - worked fast and efficiently. Would definitely have them back! PS - Got three estimates - they were the lowest by ~$300

The team was punctual, friendly, and efficient. As mentioned above, they were able to work with us (even though they were booked out a few weeks) to accommodate a very tight schedule since we needed to trees removed prior to the commencement of the fence work. They were very clean and made sure they were performing the exact services requested. We have used Morningstar before, and once again they impressed us. We will most certainly work with them again.

Very responsive, got us scheduled earlier than we had expected and at a very fair price. Incredibly professional and efficient, finished the whole job in around 2 hours with no problem. Cleaned up after themselves. Did a fantastic job and would recommend to anyone. Thank you!

We called Morningstar out to take down 3 trees in our yard. They were very helpful, responded quickly, and did a great job. We had them come out a second time to grind the stumps, as we did not know that we needed to do this as well to finish a project that we had started. They were a pleasure to work with, and I would recomend them to others in the future. They were also very helpful in cutting the wood from the trees into pieces that we could use in our fireplace.

They were quick to come over and provide a free estimate. Good communication.

Excellent. Although we only provided general request, they gave us what we wanted. The estimator came to our house during the week when we were away and left detailed estimate with each project priced and detailed. We approved via phone and they came within days. Their work showed understanding of both our needs and aborist's knowledge. They cleaned and cleared all debris from yard and roof.

They came right out and did the job professionally and they were reasonably priced.

Overall, they are not the cheapest but they are professionals who know their job! Call them and you willnot regret it!

They perform their services very well, they clean up after themselves, knowledgeable and reasonably priced compared to others. Great staff.

they did an excellent job. the tree is huge and largely hangs over our neighbors property. they were careful and removed branches in a way that would promote the health of the tree. they worked with our neighbor who was concerned about limbs over his driveway and near his roof and tried to both alleviate the neighbors fear of limb damage and explain the need to trim carefully. The results should meet the neighbors needs without damaging the tree.

Morningstar Tree Service has very fair prices for the work they did and I was really satisfied with it. What I liked especially is that there is a man that comes out first that talks over what I want to have done and kind of advised me for what to do. He seemed to know a lot and then we were able to talk about the various trees and he gave me good advice about what to take out and what to leave. Everything that he said made sense. They asked before they did anything and before they came onto the property too, they're very good.

I was very pleased with their work. I have used them several years now. They are expensive but I believe they are very knowledgeable and do excellent work. They were very prompt at responding to a request for a quotation. The estimator Greg discussed the work that needed to be done, and the options I had. I received a written quote that described the details of the work to be done. They had a backlog of work (mid-summer), I was told it would be 3-4 weeks until they could do it, which was accuarate. They let me know ahead of time when they had a firm date. Greg was there when the crew arrived and walked around the yard with them to discuss the work to be done. They had a lot of equipment, and the workers were experienced. A couple of times the lead trimmer asked for my input on how I wanted certain things done. They worked steadily and It took them all day to complete the work. The cleanup was excellent.

They came out promptly to give an estimate, and had someone out to grind up the stump within a few days. Great service. Great price!

We recently moved in to a new house that was in bad need of tree removal and trimming. I called Morningstar b/c they had gotten us out of a bind in our previous home (They we doing work at a neighbors house after a big storm did a lot of damage in the neighborhood. We had a large tree limb fall in our front yard, and we were having an open house the next day. I went and talked to them and they came over and cleaned everything up that day.) Greg from Morningstar came to do the estimating (I think it was a day or two after I called). He helped me to determine which trees should be removed/trimmed, and helped to work within our budget. I called Greg back after he provided the estimate to see if they could do the work on the next Friday b/c we were going to be out of town. He worked us into the schedule and his crew did the work as expected, and cleaned-up the area nicely. We will definitely use them again in the future.

Very well. I was not home when they came and worked. When I came home, the whole job had been completed. We have a busy street, many hedges, and lawns. They respected all of that and did not damage any of the grass or shrubbery. Quite a feat! They kept their word.

It went very well. Excellent. My neighbors could not even tell that the tree was removed.

They were very responsive, and explained very carefully what they planned to do and why. They scheduled the work very quickly after the initial estimate and were very prompt on the appointed day. Save for the missing tree limbs and a bit of sawdust, you'd never know they had been there. The trees look great - thanks! I can't really comment on price because I didn't get any other estimates - seemed reasonable for the amount of work that needed to be done. Cost was a bit higher than the estimate only because I didn't figure in taxes.
