Do It All Plumbing

Called Do It All Plumbing around 7:30am, on a Saturday, and Joe, the owner, was at my house before 9:30 am. We had a very simple problem that Joe was able to fix. What really impressed me was he could have easily sold me parts and service I didn't need. But he did not. He was totally honest and just charged for a service call. Joe also gave me some tips on how to best take care of the fixtures, shower door and tile. I will call him again if needed.

The technician, Joe, came out and was able to fix the issue, no problem. I contacted them in the morning and they showed up within a few hours, he actually showed up an hour earlier than expected. He was able to figure out the issue and snake the drain and fix it. He also gave me a $20 discount for being a member of Angie's List.

I called Do It All on a Tuesday and they said they would be out at 8am on Wednesday and he was right on time. He took care of my bathroom faucet and then went to work on my slow running kitchen sink. He installed a vent and a clean out in the basement to make it run better but when he tried to snake it, he discovered mud in the pipe and said the pipe was broken. He quoted me a tentative price because he couldn't be sure what the job would entail until he broke up the basement floor. He said he would be back at 8am Monday and he was. The job took about 3 hours and cost quite a bit less than his original quote. He only had to break up a few feet of floor to my great relief. Joe answered all of my questions and took the time to explain everything to me. He guaranteed the work for a year but said I would never have a problem with my kitchen sink again. I would highly recommend this company and I will be using them for all future plumbing issues.

Joe and his assistant were there everyday and worked very hard. They ALWAYS picked up when I called them and ALWAYS came out if needed to fixe something. The only negative I would say is and I take partial blame for this, but make sure they give you a detailed bill and tiemframe for the work to be performed and make sure you ask questions. As hard of a worker and their reliability, this is the one area they were lacking. Nothing horrible and wouldn't prevent me form using them again, just a point of contention for me.

The overall project went for about 3 weeks but that included city inspections on the commercial property. In addition to the work Joe was hired for my landlord also hired him to complete some extra work with the main stack. I called Joe after reading reviews on Angie's List and he answered the phone the first time I called. He came out to see the job within a few days and then started the work shortly thereafter. Due to some commercial property issues and city requirements with permits the job was stretched out but there was nothing I could have done, or Joe could have done to speed up the process. Joe had prior experience installing grooming tubs for other animal grooming business' which made me feel so much better about hiring him. His price was very good and even when there were little things that came up it didn't affect the price too much. Joe was more than fair with his quote and end price. Joe had a helper who was professional too. I trusted him with my storefront keys to take care of the work even when i wasn't there to oversee the job. He completed the work and made sure I passed all inspections so I could open my doors and start servicing my clients.

I called Joe at about 8 AM this morning, by 830 he had been here, surveyed the situation and within about an hour returned to repair our leaky shower and remove an old water heater. We had anticipated a very expensive repair on the 2nd floor leaky shower but Joe immediately assessed the situation and determined that it was bad caulk which he repaired at minimal cost. I give him my highest recommendation and I'm thrilled that he was our first Angie's List service provider that we have used.

Joe took apart old faucet and found broken plastic parts and washers that needed replacing. He took old faucet with him and looked to replace parts but found the model was discountinued. Joe recommended to replace with better quality frost free sillcock. First scheduled appointment was cancelled due to rain. Joe showed up on time for next appointment, replaced the entire faucet, made sure there were no leaks and the job was completed in about 20 minutes. Very satisfied with the new faucet and the final cost of service.

I called at approx 9 AM & Do It All was at our house at noon the same day. We had a leak in the hot/cold washing machine valves. It was quickly repaired at minimal cost. I've been looking for a reasonably priced and responsive plumber and Do It All is the solution. I will be using them in the future and recommend them to anyone.

1) Joe didn't show or call for the 1st scheduled job estimate on 8/15/13 4:30 pm. 2) He apologized and re-scheduled for 8/16/13 3:00pm. Joe called back 20 mins later and said he couldn't make that time. I told Joe I would call back sometime on 8/17/13, once I found the next best day and time to re-schedule. 3) I made call to Joe on 8/17/13 at 7:30am. Joe was very apologetic again for the last two missed appointment times and offered to come out the next day on Sunday 8/1813. He said he would meet me at any time I wanted. That he was willing to come out on a "Sunday". He repeated several times throughout the conversation "at your convenience" while remaining apologetic once again for the previous missed opportunities. I requested a 11:00am appointment for that Sunday and he said "it would be closer to around 11:30am". I agreed and said that was fine. 4) I woke up at 11am on that Sunday. I checked my phone messages. Joe had called at 9:20am and left me a message that said.... "I'm in Parma and done with my work here, on my way to your house now. Please call me so I know you got this message". (Parma is the city next to mine.) I didn't call Joe back immediately due to the fact that a) I just woke up b) his message was left 2 hours ago and he was scheduled to be there in 20 minutes anyways. Next, I made my morning coffee, got dressed and washed up for our scheduled appointment. 5) 11:31am rolls around.... No Joe. 6) 11:36am... I decide to call Joe ( I gave him 5 minutes after the scheduled time to let him call me if he was running late for some reason). Joe answered and I told him I was waiting on him. He stated that he was already there at 11:00am Lie #1 and knocked on the door and that nobody answered. Lie #2. (I will explain more about my proof of his lies at the end of this review). I told him that my wife and I were just waking up at that time (alarm was set for 11:00am), because we both had a very late night the day before (which is besides the point). We would of heard the knocking...plus our dogs "go crazy with barking" whenever ANYONE or ANYTHING makes a loud noise near our house or on the door. He continued to say he had knocked. I told him that our appointment was at 11:30am and there was no reason for him to of even been there on the premises any earlier, nor was there a reason for him to leave a message at 9:20am to say he was in the next city and on his way over. While trying to explain this to him and get him to understand why he was in the wrong, he would interrupt me and say " I saw your situation with the job you want me to do and this is what I can do for you....". I once again started to explain to him that our appointment was for 11:30am, that I had scheduled my plans around that time, and that he wasn't there. I also reminded him of the many times he told me (2 days earlier) that it can be "at my convenience" to meet him on Sunday. He said " I know.. I know.. but..I was there this morning and I saw what you needed done and this is what I can do..." I was very angry and frustrated at this point and trying to be the better person, I allowed him to continue talking about what he would need to do for the job. Once he was done, I told him that it doesn't matter that he was here looking at the job. That our appointment was for 11:30am and I had wanted to meet him in person, ask any questions that I may have ( in person), and receive a hand written paper estimate ( IN PERSON). This is how I have always done it with many other contractors and this is the level of professionalism every contractor, before Joe, has given to me. 7) Joe finally told me how much he would charge for the job. CLICK... (it was double than the previous 2 estimates I received) The Lies.. During our second time talking on the phone, it was discovered that Joe and I knew a same friend of ours. I communicated with this friend after the ordeal on Sunday and the friend told me that Joe had contacted him that morning also and told him that he arrived at my house at 10:00am...not 11:00am like Joe told me. Also, my dogs must of gone deaf for a couple hours that morning during the time he was knocking at 11:00 am. Oh wait... that's right... he wasn't really there at that time to begin with. Maybe if he had actually knocked at 10:00am when he was there... Now that would of made for an even MORE interesting morning ! "MY CONVENIENCE ?? " YEAH RIGHT !

I called Do It All Plumbing on Monday August 12, 2013 because my mother's kitchen sink was backed up. Do It All Plumbing was able to come out the next day. Do It All Plumbing explained in detail the problem: the drain was backed-up and a pipe in the basement was corroded and needed replaced. They were prompt, thorough, and efficient, fixing the problem within an hour. I definitely would use them in the future.

Joe was prompt, polite and clean. He made sure he left my bathroom in the same condition he found it in. He explained what needed to be done before he did it. I found him to be reasonable. I would definitely use Do it All Plumbing again and recommend them to friends & family.

Very considerate. Originally scheduled for 8:00 a.m., he called the night before to say he would be a half hour late and asked if that was ok. The next morning they arrived when they said they would. We were babysitting and they made every effort to be quiet while the baby slept. Work was done quickly without any fuss. I highly recommend them.

Joe was great, I called him at 7:30 A.M., and he came by 8:00 a.m. he even put me ahead of an already scheduled appointment,to help me out ! Joe's customer service is excellent and DO IT ALL PLUMBING is number one on my list for plumbing needs.

If we could give him an A-plus, we would! Joe was great. He came the same day we called and in fact arrived earlier than he originally said he would. He called and kept us updated on his ETA. He diagnosed the problems quickly and explained everything thoroughly. Both he and his helper were polite and professional. Would use this company again in a heartbeat.

Joe was prompt and professional. He was very careful handling my new stove. He was also very careful moving it across the floor, making sure not to scratch or damage anything. He did exactly what I wanted for the price I expected. I would definitely use him again.

Our bathroom tub/shower drain had been running slowly for weeks, and we finally decided unclogging it ourselves simply wasn't going to work. We sent Joe an email on the Saturday of Memorial Day weekend, hoping that we could connect him to schedule an appt. for the following Friday when I was off or the following weekend. He called back within the hour and scheduled a service call (not an emergency one, just a regular one) the next day. He was prompt, efficient and professional. Cleared the clog through some intensive snaking and noted that there was no way we would have been able to remove it ourselves as it was too far down in the drain line. He even honored his first-time customer Angie's list coupon. We have been looking for a good, reliable plumber after several average experiences. I think we have found one in Joe. We will be calling him again when we need to have a plumbing problem addressed.

Arrived when he said and made the most cost effective repair

It went great. Joe was very honest with his recommendations and steered us to repair our plumbing with high quality products that will last for years with warranties. He was thorough and helpful and respectful of our time. He cleaned up afterwards and made sure his assistant was also thorough with his work. In follow up, Joe returned to check on the tank flapper thinking it would need to be further repaired but recommended against it since it would be too expensive and not worth fixing. I respect and appreciate his opinion.

It went very well! We discovered early Wednesday morning that water was leaking through the bathroom floor to the basement, and we were pretty sure it was coming from the toilet because there was some water around the base of the toilet. I called Do It All at about 6:45am, and Joe answered the phone himself. I described the problem, and he listened patiently and asked good questions to determine extent of problem and urgency. He was busy that day, and asked if I could wait until the following day (Thursday). I said i could, as I had turned off the water supply to the leaky toilet and we had another bathroom to use. We established a 7-7:30 arrival on Thursday morning, and Joe explained the service charge we would incur. Joe and his apprentice arrived about 7:05 on Thursday morning - right on time. I showed them to the bathroom, and while the apprentice was emptying water from the toilet, Joe looked around and was admiring the fixtures in the renovated bathroom. I commented that the hand-held shower attachment wasn't working right, and he immediately checked it to see if he could make a quick fix for me. It turned out there was a piece missing that I couldn't locate so there was nothing he could do, but I really appreciated that he was willing to help with more than the problem I called him about. The two got right to work, and seemed to work well and efficiently together, with good communication/coordination. They asked for a garbage bag to set the toilet on (to keep the floor clean), which I really appreciated. When they pulled up the toilet and found the problem (the wrong type of wax ring was used for the type of pipes), Joe called me in to show me the difference between the old wax ring and the proper one. The apprentice did much of the work to replace the wax ring and reinstall the toilet, with Joe instructing and observing every step of the way. In addition, Joe said he discovered the water shut-off valve to the toilet was leaking, and he thought the reason was it was loose so he tightened it. He stepped out to write up the bill, and then came back to check the area around the toilet and shutoff valve to make sure there was no leakage. He also flushed the toilet and checked in the basement to make sure there was no further leakage through the floor or the pipes. The bill was as expected -- the service charge plus the fee he had initially quoted me for removing the toilet. The work also carries a 1-year warranty, which Joe wrote in on the bill. (This also appears on the Do It All site on Angie's List) In summary, I was very pleased with this experience and with Do It All's work. Joe and his apprentice were courteous and professional, Joe was responsive and prompt, the charges were communicated up-front, he explained the work he was doing, and the work appears to have been done properly. I will definitely consider using Do It All again if further needs arise.

I called Joe after the deliveryman from a major appliance vendor was hooking up my new washing machine and the pipe to the water inlet valve broke off inside the laundry room wall. The only shutoff was the main supply to the whole house. It was a Saturday evening and I thought I was really stuck. I called Joe based on his reviews and proximity. He was tied up but advised me how I, with a $6 part, I could cap the line and turn the water back on to the rest of my house until he could come out first thing in the morning. He described exactly what to do and even offered that I could call him back and he?d walk me through it. It was so simple that I did it on my own - and it worked like a charm. Joe called me back shortly thereafter to see how I was coming along. He then showed up bright and early Sunday morning, installed the new valve in no time at all and hooked up my new washer before he left. If you?re looking for someone reliable who cares about his work and his customers (even the ones he hasn?t even met yet) call Joe and Do it All Plumbing.

It was refreshing when the phone was answered within 4 rings, no voice mail. Not only that this small job was completed within 24 hours of the call. Price was reasonable for plumbing service.

I called Tuesday AM. Provider was on other side of town yet he came over that afternoon to fix my toilet. He examined the toilet and flushed it to determine how bad the leak was. He spent about an hour repairing the leak by installing new brass bolts and screws to the toilet tank. He then flushed the toilet three times to make sure that there was no further leakage. I have now used this service three times and will continue to do so whenever I have a plumbing problem. Thank you Angie's List for providing me this contact.

I was having the basement water proofed. When the water proofers got near the sewer line beneath the floor, they discovered some previous shoddy plumbing that needed repair before continuing. Even though it was not an emergency situation, Do It All arrived promptly the next morning and fixed the problem expediently. The finished job was clean and very well done. They were courteous and patiently explained the problem before doing the work. I am very happy with their service and will call o them in the future.

Do it all showed up punctually at 8 and once I showed them the areas that concerned them they went to it and within a half hour had everything done and invoiced and were on their way. It was a fantastic experience and saved me bunches of time. Would recommend them to anyone looking in a heartbeat.
