This group started off 6 years ago alright however, we would get a new property manager assigned to us about every year as managers would leave, or in one case, was arrested and sent to jail. The President of the company then became our property manager and merged with another management company out of Texas (Innovative). He started making excuses for items not completed or if mistakes were made, blaming them on someone else to cover up the issues when in fact, he caused the error. He was caught in a lie stating the president of the board was making decisions when actually he was making calls about policy at his own discretion around the community. The board president resigned and at the next meeting he was throwing the former president under the bus for every issue and being disrespectful and unprofessional. Complaints around the community continued stating the company would not return phone calls. At the same board meeting, it was disclosed the company (not the attorney) were filing liens against past due residents on two occasions and the owner promised to reimburse the association. He stated he told Innovative (his new partner) not to do it and they did anyway and charged the association. The meeting was in October and the liens were placed in May and July. He tried to sweep it under the rug. There were other items like roofing repairs that should not have been paid as they were in the warrantee period and unethical maintenance charges by another of his companies which can be considered double-dipping. The last year of service, the board themselves did so much administrative work, the management fee was reduced to $900 a month. This still didn't help matters and another management bid, research and offer was reached with another company at $600 a month and would not require board members to do walk-arounds within the community and calls to be returned. This was not a professional company with more problems than can be discussed and the current board looks forward to a new relationship with a more professional company.
