Contracted with Mike after a tornado hit my home. Everything was handled very well at the time of service, which included a complete roof and siding replacement as well as repairs to doors and windows. After work was completed, we had a large water leak. Mike sent out someone to repair the roof and fix the damage inside. At every big rain since, we have noticed that the roof continues to leak. After contacting Mike, someone has been sent out to "fix" the roof again, only to have it continue to leak. This fall after another big rain, I left a message for Mike again and this time got no response, so I hired another agency to come out have a look. Within the first five minutes, they found that the roof was leaking because there was no flash installed at the leak point and water damage was apparent. Tar, foam and some kind of caulk were used at some point to try to stop the water instead of actually correcting the mistake. To date, I have a bit over $2,000 in the repair work and have not gotten a response from Mike. I still have a ceiling that needs repaired again inside as well.

Mike arrived several hours after my initial call at the time promised; assessed the repair, gave me a reasonable quote and being that I already had the bulk of the materials needed on hand he was able to complete the repair the same day.

Had an issue with leaky flashing around a chimney coming into the house. Mike came out to give me an estimate within hours of my request. It was so reasonable I couldn't believe it. He was honest and upfront about the issue and the cost. When he came back to fix it, had it done and looking great in a matter of a couple hours. I will use Relief Roofing for any future roofing needs I may have, and have already recommended him to others. Also plan on using for a future basement remodel. UPDATE: After the initial work to replace the flashing and repair the leak in April 2016, there is still the same leaking issue (as of February 2018). I contacted the owner to take a look at it again a month after their initial repair. He said he would be happy to. Never gave a day or time when he'd stop by, and things came up and I lost track of it. A year and a half later (November 2017) and I hear it leaking again. I contact him again and remind him of the initial work he did in 2016 and that it is still leaking. His response was that he HAD stopped by shortly after I told him about it, at the same time that he had stopped and given me a quote for some unrelated tuckpointing work. What I realized after all the back and forth, is that he gave me the tuckpointing quote (and supposedly rechecked the leak) on April 19, 2016. But I didnt even email him about rechecking the leak until May 5, 2016. The emails are all dated and saved. So either he was clairvoyant, or he never actually checked the leak. And if he DID somehow check for the leak, he failed to fix it or even notify me that he had stopped by at all. Very disappointed. SECOND UPDATE 04/24/18: After having more companies come out to estimate the leak Relief never addressed, it turns out that they didn't even do the flashing properly to begin with. Instead of grinding out the joints to install cap flashing, they just ran a sheet of flashing around the sides and then put some caulk along the top to "seal" it. That would explain why it never stopped leaking. This after Mike told me the flashing wasn't installed properly by the last people and that he would "fix" it. Beyond angry. He took my money, did the job improperly, and then never returned my calls when it inevitably failed.

The installer was very professional in handling of my needs. He patched my roof with shingles that I had from when the original roof was installed. He secured my gutters with new fasteners and replaced a boot on the soil stack that I didn't even know that it needed repair. He was very prompt and exceptionally well versed as to correcting the storm damage. His price was "very reasonable", I would recommend his services to others. I am very pleased with the results. I would hire him in a heart beat. Thank you for the recommendation.

They checked the entire roof to see if any other repairs were needed. Some sealant was needed in one area. They replaced the shingles and sealed the roof the same day they came out to view the job. the men had extra shingles with them. They informed us of the shingles brand quality currently on the roof and why there was a law suit against the shingles company. they were quick and efficient. The new replacement shingles matched the current shingles. So far there has not been any problems with the newly patched roof.

They did the job immediately. They took before and after pictures of the problem. Very pleasant and capable workers. I would call them again if ever I needed roofers.

They completed the job the same day they came to make the estimate. In addition, they repaired some siding close to the roof and cut off some overhanging branches from a tree close to the house. I can't actually judge the quality of their work since I can't get up on the roof to check it out. But they told me all the things that they found needing attention and took care of them. I will have them back in a year or two to reshingle a section or two of the roof.

Courteous, thorough, arrived on time to give the estimate and on returning to do the repair. I will call Relief Roofing and Restoration in the Spring to do more work.

Called me within 1 minute after posting on Home Advisor. He adjusted his work schedule to accommodate my work schedule.and got the job done before we got any more bad weather. The other roofing company that I spoke with had a 3 week wait before they could do the work. I was pleased with Mike and his professionalism in handling the job.

Mike was easy going and a pleasure to talk to. His estimate was a lot lower than what I thought which really helped me out tremendously. I have a lot of work that still needs to be done on myh home, so I will be calling Mike and the 4-R team again for certain.
