Germain was able to fit us in right away for a repair. They gave us an estimate and explained the repairs needed in detail. They performed the services quickly and I had my car back the next day. During holiday shopping the brake made a rubbing noise, and I drove straight to their service center where they made an adjustment to fix it in 15 minutes for no cost.
Description of Work: When the parking brake decided to snap a cable on my 2008 CRV Germain was able to fit us in right away for a repair. They replaced all the parts that needed replacing, the entire cable line and the brake. When a part misaligned the next day I was able to take it right in and have it adjusted free of charge.

They did a good job on the oil change, but they skimped on the "extras" they offer and damaged our brand new 2012 Odyssey. The oil change was as expected, no surprises, but the "car wash" was terrible and they scratched our new van. They ran our van through their car wash and it came out with a scratch and dirtier than it went in! I'm willing to believe it was a fluke incident and will continue to use them for my vehicle service in the future. They didn't offer to make it right (fix the scratch) until I pressed them for a solution to the situation, It took them almost a month to schedule a time to get it in. Once they did, they repaired it free and I have had no incidents with them since. I have a maintenance plan with them so the oil change cost me nothing, and they did the repair of the scratch free.

Germain Honda of Dublin is the only place I would go. They tell you what is wrong and how much it is going to cost before they do it. They give me a senior discount, so, I like that. They also have a shuttle service. They will take me home, and pick me up when the car is done. I use them about every six months. I will continue to use them.

I insisted that my car be repaired by Honda. The damage was severe, and it took 6 weeks to get it done, but it looks like new. The only thing noticable is a small amount of body puddy inside the hood. They were very professional and helpful since I've never had an accident before and didn't know how to work with insurance companies. The other person's insurance paid for everything. The Honda representative called me once a week to give me updates on the repair.
Description of Work: Front end damaged in accident. Another car turned left in front of me and I t-boned them. Major damage to my 2009 Civic.

I have a mixed opinion. They advertised a car on the internet. I drove there, and they couldn't find the car anywhere around. Three days later I found out it was sold. They called back two days later to tell me the deal fell through. I went and looked at it. The salesman was very good. They got the price a little more towards their favor than what I wanted, but it all worked out.

They used to be Immke Honda and I had used them for 10 years and then they got bought up by Germain. This was my first time with Germain. It is also an auto dealership. They were responsive and it was easy to get my car in. They were punctual. I haven't had any problems with the vehicle pertaining to what they did. I would use them again in the future.

The quote was reasonable. The time frame was reasonable. The service rep was friendly and professional. The vehicle was finished one day before promised but the work was not satisfactory. The hood, which was replaced, was not flush with the body. Also, there were fresh scratches and chips near the repair area, although they were very small. The service rep easily agreed that the work was not satisfactory and would be remedied. The reworked car was ready the next day. Although the hood was still not completely flush, it was acceptable. Our service rep was not present when we picked up the car and he never called to see what we thought about the finished product.
Description of Work: Repair stone chip damage/rust at leading edge of hood. Repair damage to front bumper. Buff/polish rest of car to eliminate/minimize scratches.

THE GAS TANK REPAIR ITSELF WENT WITHOUT ANY ISSUE. WHEN IT WAS DONE, I ASKED WHY THEY HAD NOT DONE A BETTER INSPECTION OF THE TANK ON THE EARLIER VISIT WHEN THEY HAD IT DOWN OUT OF THE VEHICLE TO DO THE BRAKE LINE REPLACEMENT, ESPECIALLY WHEN THERE HAD BEEN A VAPOR LEAK ERROR CODE BEHIND THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT. THE SERVICE REP APOLOGIZED AND SAID THEY DIDN'T NOTICE IT BEFORE. I ASKED HOW IT COULD HAVE CORRODED IN LESS THAN A MONTH TO THE POINT THAT IT HAD TO BE REPLACED. THE REP WASN'T ABLE TO ANSWER THAT. I TOLD HIM I WASN'T HAPPY ABOUT HAVING TO PAY TO DROP THE TANK TWICE WHEN THAT SHOULD HAVE BEEN CHECKED THE FIRST TIME. I WAS WITHOUT THE CAR FOR ABOUT A WEEK BECAUSE IT COULDN’T REALLY BE DRIVEN WITH A GASOLINE LEAK AND THEY HAD DELAYS IN GETTING THE PARTS DELIVERED. LABOR TO REMOVE AND REPLACE THE TANK IS ABOUT 9 HOURS, WHICH IS WHY THE BILL WAS HIGH BOTH TIMES. THE SERVICE REP DID GIVE ME AN ACCOMMODATION OF $250 ON THE COST OF THE TANK REPLACEMENT, DROPPED MY COST TO $1,406.17. OVERALL, I WAS NOT HAPPY ABOUT SEVERAL THINGS REGARDING THE SERVICE AT GERMAIN. THEY HAD RECENTLY BOUGHT THE DEALERSHIP FROM IMMKE HONDA, AND I NOTICED PRICES SHOT UP. LABOR WAS ABOUT $90/HOUR, AND OTHER SERVICES THEY OFFERED ALSO SEEMED TO HAVE INCREASED IN PRICE. I WAS MORE UNHAPPY ABOUT THEIR FAILURE TO PROPERLY INSPECT THE TANK THE FIRST TIME IT WAS REMOVED. THAT WOULD HAVE SAVED ME ABOUT $1,000 AND A WEEK'S TIME. I WROTE A LETTER ON ALL THIS AND SENT IT TO THE NEW MANAGER, JESSICA GERMAIN. SHE NEVER REPLIED. THIS WHOLE EPISODE WAS DISAPPOINTING. I HAD DEALT WITH THIS PARTICULAR DEALERSHIP FOR YEARS, AND IT IS THE CLOSEST HONDA DEALERSHIP TO MY HOUSE. NOW I NO LONGER TRUST THEM AND WILL NEED TO GO ELSEWHERE FOR ANY MAJOR SERVICE. RECOMMEND THAT ANYONE WHO INTENDS TO USE THEIR SERVICES GET AN ESTIMATE FROM ANOTHER SHOP BEFORE YOU AGREE TO THEIR PRICE, AND MAKE SURE THEY PROVIDE A WRITTEN ESTIMATE WITH INSPECTION RESULTS.
Description of Work: 3 VISITS BETWEEN 5/5/11 AND 6/20/11. 5/5/11VISIT WAS TO INSPECT CHECK ENGINE LIGHT AND SEE WHY IT CAME ON. THEY COULD NOT DETERMINE WHY MY "CHECK ENGINE" LIGHT CAME ON, SAID THAT I HAD NOT SCREWED THE GAS CAP ON TIGHT ENOUGH. THAT ADVICE COST ME $90. WHEN LEAVING GERMAIN AFTER THAT VISIT, JUST BEFORE I WAS READY TO TURN ONTO SAWMILL ROAD, . MY REAR BRAKE LINES BLEW OUT IN THEIR LOT. COST TO REPAIR THESE BRAKE LINES WAS $1,018.68 AFTER A SMALL DISCOUNT. THEY SAID THAT REPLACING 2 REAR BRAKE LINES ON A 1998 HONDA CR-V COST SO MUCH BECAUSE THEY HAD TO REMOVE THE GAS TANK TO REACH ALL THE LINES. THE LINES WERE REPLACED FROM THE FRONT BRAKE MASTER CYLINDER TO THE REAR WHEELS. AT THE TIME, I ASKED WHAT CONDITION THE TANK WAS IN AND THEY SAID IT LOOKED FINE. REMEMBER THIS POINT FOR THE NEXT CHAPTER IN THIS SAGA. 2ND VISIT WAS ON 5/27/11. THE CHECK LIGHT HAD AGAIN COME ON. I TOOK IT BACK AND THEY SAID THEY CHECKED IT AGAIN AND THERE WAS A CODE INDICATING A VAPOR LEAK IN THE SYSTEM. I HAD BOUGHT A NEW GAS CAP AT ADVANCE AUTO (ABOUT $8.00) AND WAS USING IT WHEN THE LIGHT CAME ON. THEY SAID THE CAP WAS PROBABLY CHEAPLY MADE AND I'D BE BETTER OFF WITH A HONDA CAP. BOUGHT A HONDA CAP FOR $33.25. LIGHT WENT OFF FOR A FEW DAYS, AND THEN CAME BACK ON AFTER ABOUT A WEEK. I AGAIN TOOK THE CAR BACK ON/ABOUT 6/16/11 AND TOLD THEM THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT WAS STILL COMING ON. I HAD ALSO BOUGHT A CODE READER ($220) IN THE MEANTIME AND CHECKED THE CODE MYSELF, GOT THE SAME ERROR CODE, VAPOR LEAK IN THE SYSTEM. THIS TIME THEY CHECKED DEEPER AND FOUND THAT THE TOP OF THE TANK HAD A CORRODED METAL NIPPLE WHERE THE FUEL HOSE CONNECTED. THIS WAS THE CAUSE OF ALL THE VAPOR LEAKS. THAT REPAIR TOOK ABOUT A WEEK AND COST ABOUT $1,656 FOR A NEW GAS TANK, FUEL GAUGE AND PUMP (ONE PIECE UNIT, RECOMMENDED BUT NOT MANDATORY FOR THIS REPAIR) AND LABOR.

We've been having trouble getting IMMKE Northwest Honda to bind by our agreement. They had our car's vin number associated with another customer's car. We had to get an oil change and they were totally confused because of the wrong association with the car. When we went to pay the bill I actually had an invoice with somebody else's name, contact information, address, etc. They also didn't seem remotely concerned about it. They just crossed out the name and used the same form. What concerns me is their lackluster concern about the issue. If you give somebody else's information to the wrong person they can steal your identity. They were very unprofessional. Also, when we priced out purchasing our car from them at the beginning we were suppose to get a free oil change with the warranty every 3,750 miles. Instead, they told us we can't get the oil changed until the vehicle wrench shows up on our dashboard. Unfortunately, the car can go upwards of 10,000 miles before the wrench shows up. So, we got the short end of the stick on that warranty deal from them as well. It would've been nice if they were a little more upfront about those warranty details.

I am a long time customer of Immke and I have, in the past, had good experiences with the service department. In fact, I have often told my wife how much I liked the service. There was a time when the service guys would talk me out of unnecessary repairs. No longer. Yesterday was the first time I have been there in a while (maybe since the ownership changed?) and my experience was 100% the opposite of what I had come to expect from the dealership. There are four problems I had with the service. 1. The biggest problem I have is that I came in with a car that was in working order and I’m walking out with a brand new oil pan that I did not need. I was told that the drain plug came into the shop stripped. That makes no sense whatsoever. If it was stripped I would have been leaking oil. I park in the same place on my white cement driveway every day and there is not a hint of oil. I also don’t buy the argument that it became stripped as it was being removed. In high school I was an auto shop kid and I have spent a good deal of my life doing my own repairs (I go to repair shops now because I don’t have time to do it myself). I never saw a bolt stripped when being removed except when it was rusty. Oil plugs don’t have time to get rusty. I also never saw a mechanic inspect a plug as it was coming out. This leads me to believe that the mechanic over-tightened it and stripped it (and the threads of the pan)as he was putting it back in the oil pan. Of course, I have no definitive proof so I now have to pay $500 for a new oil pan. Putting aside the fact that I was charged over $250 for a part that I could get elsewhere for $115, this just isn't right. The sad thing is that I might have suspended disbelief and paid for it without issue if the following had not also occurred: 2. Initially I talked to Zac (my service guy) and he wanted to charge me over $900 for a timing belt repair. I was suspicious because I had read this service shouldn’t cost more than $750, so asked him specifically if this is what other dealerships charged and he said yes. Since then I’ve talked to Roush Honda and they charge $620 for the basic service and $795 for a package that includes both the timing belt and many other services that Immke does not include (Zac offered these to me for approximately $200-$300 more). Eventually, after talking to his supervisor (Jim ), I was able to argue my way down to a reasonable price (not including the psychic cost to myself). 3. My driver side door handle was broken. Zac said it would cost $90 to check it out. After they checked it out he said it would be another $90 because getting the door open and inspected was more labor intensive than the mechanic thought it would be. If that is the way they do business, fine, but I want money back from the timing belt which was charged at 7 hours work, but I read should not take more than 2 hours for a good mechanic to complete. Luckily, Zac also backed off on that one and only charged me $90. 4. When I picked up my car it was full of cigarette smoke... either a final F* by the service guys or a lack of control by the dealership. The basic message for Immke is that it does their reputation no good if their customers have to argue at length to get a reasonable price. In business, reputation is the most valuable asset a company owns. Once a company's reputation takes a hit, consumers won’t believe unlikely stories of, say, a previously stripped oil plug.

We recently purchased a 2010 Honda Accord from Immeke. We contacted them through the internet and they were very responsive. They responded to emails very quickly and answered my questions. Our salesperson at Immeke, Chris, was great. They did not pressure us whatsoever. They beat the price of another dealership and gave us a fair amount for our trade-in. While this vehicle is in nice shape, we do not carry collision insurance on this car as it is a 2001. We wanted to get it fixed for safety and mechanical reasons, but did not want to spend a lot of money on cosmetics. Our service lead, Dave, did a nice of job of working with us based on our guidelines. Overall the work has proven effective (we've had the car back for 2 months with no issues) and the price was fair.

I like the car, but the service sucks (and I don't use that word a lot too!). I call, leave messages, and no one returns my call. I've emailed Honda about the service and they don't get back to me either. I was trying to ask for my title to get a permanent license plate before the temporary plates expired. I've left messages on several different manager's voicemails and they don't even get back to me. I found out later that Immke was selling the dealership to Germain, but I'm worried about future service that I will have to experience after having these bad ones right at the beginning of our relationship. Again, I am not a happy camper.

I bought my Honda Fit from Immke in October 2009 and also purchased a Safe Guard Tire & Wheel warranty, that I was told would be accepted by any major tire repair shop. My low tire pressure indicator light illuminated two months after I bought the car, I took it to Immke two times, they failed to fix the problem both time, then I wound up with a flat tire. When I tried to use my tire warranty it was not accepted anywhere in Columbus except Immke! While I did not want to return there, I had no choice if I wanted to used the $400 warrantly I paid for. I called ahead to make sure they had the tire in stock. When I arrived, I learned they lied to me, and actually did not have the tire in stock! Four days later I picked my car up, the spare was not put away and there was dog hair on my seats! I got in touch with the sales manager & asked for a refund of the tire warrantly & extended care warrantly that was only good at their dealership. We signed the paperwork & I was told the refund would be made as a payment on the principal amount of my loan within 60 days. I am still waiting for it... Never trust this dealership!

Scheduled an appt for 60k service on my Odyssey. At the time of scheduling, the service advisor said that I could drop the car off on Friday evening for my Saturday appt. On Friday night I drove around for 20 minutes trying to make sense of the signs and seeing no signs at all for a late night drop off. Finally found one and dropped off the keys. Then I called at 8am Saturday morning to tell them I had dropped the car off. Talked to Mike who said he didn't have the keys, but it would work out fine. I asked if he needed to look up the appt to match things up, but he said that wasn't necessary. Then at 2:30pm I called to find out if the car was done, and Mike pretended like he had never heard of me. Turns out I had dropped off my key in the drop box for the body shop. They got my keys out and handed them back without any apology or anything. Why didn't the service advisor who talked to me when I scheduled the appt not give any details on where the drop box was since it's so difficult to find when it's dark out? Why didn't Mike look up my appt on Sat. morning so that he could call me back when he couldn't find my car? Why was Mike so rude rather than courteous on Sat. afternoon when I called and clearly everything had gone so wrong? A completely lousy experience all the way around.

I arrived on the lot and Chris began shuffling around telling me that he provides estimates whether or not they have the car on the lot. And he shows me his screen to let me know he has none of the model I wanted and hat there are none of the cars that I want anywhere in the state. Now, if someone is coming in to test drive a car, wouldn't you check to see the car was in stock? In his initial email he also said he had one for XXX dollars. This was the end of the year, there are pricing and stimulas tax specials that expire. I had cleared my day to make this appointment and I came ready to buy -- but not any old car on the lot. This was clealry a bait and switch. I left and feeling pretty hopeless I'd be able to get in to another dealer, Fortunately, I decided not to take Glover's word for it and called another dealer and wouldn't you know they had the car that I wanted, and so did other dealers I called. Don't waste your time with this place.
Description of Work: On 1/30 I contacted Immke about pricing on one of their Honda's. Their internet salesman responded that he had one for 18999. I called him to set up an appintment to test drive the car. I had indicated on the internet form I was looking to buy a car in the next 48 hours.

We had a big car before. We bought a CR-V because it is little and high, and it is easy for me to get in and out. Another reason was because we live in Honda country. The experience has been very good, and we have been perfectly satisfied with them. The work that I’ve had them do is very little but it has been very satisfactory. I would rate them highly and would use them in the future.
