Check up revealed that I needed new CV brake lines, rear wheel cylinder, & oil pan gasket. Five days later, I had to return to get a new distributor when my car stalled on the highway.

Price was well below what I expected, at $76/hr for labor, I feared a price twice as high as the final amount. Shuttle service in the morning was quite slow.

Overall, it was a fairly easy experience and I am happy with my vehicle. I was disappointed at the documentation fees and other charges that the dealership adds to the bill. (I'm guessing this is how they make their money when they're giving you a lower sales price on a vehicle). I did my financing through them as well (not a very good idea on my part, because they charged me a $175 loan origination fee for a loan through Chase Bank. Had I gone directly to Chase, the fee would only have been $75). Going to the dealership twice for the bodywork was a hassle, but Joe provided me with a loaner car and tried to accommodate me the best he could. Since I bought the car I've noticed the transmission seems to surge somewhat, and I hope that they will be responsive in dealing with this issue since the car is warranted under their Certification Program. I will report on this in the near future.
Description of Work: I went in to Immke Honda after doing a good deal of research on the kind of vehicle I wanted to buy. I decided on a Certified used Honda CR-V and was referred to Joe Wycoff by another salesman at their satellite location (I started at the wrong place and a salesman referred me across the street for the vehicles I was looking for). Joe was very friendly, low-key and did not try to pressure me into a vehicle that I could not afford. I decided on a 2002 CRV and got the price listed above (it was advertised at $15,000). There was some bodywork that needed to be done and a couple of other things in order to get it fully certified, so I had to schedule to take the car back at a later date. After taking the car in once, I was unsatisfied with the bodywork that was done to repair some scratches and a dent. Joe scheduled me for a second visit and the second technician did a better job.

The service department worked us into its schedule and performed the service the same day. Immke's service rep. was helpful, answered all of our questions, and promptly took or returned our telephone calls. The initial diagnostic fee ($45.00) was waived, since we had them repair the Accord. Our only gripe (if you want to call it a gripe), that the labor rate for what we perceived as a fairly easy repair. However, we were pleased with the service and attention we received, and we would consider using Immke again.
Description of Work: Remove and Replace Starter Motor for a 1999 Honda Accord EX (4-cyl).

I was pleased with Immke's ability to have evening appointments. They handled every thing in one appointment and called promptly when the work was done.
Description of Work: Checked out vibration when car speed is more than 55mph. Determined that the problem was tires. New tires were installed during the same evening appointment.

The salesperson, Garrett, was not very knowledgeable and very unprofessional. We were quoted one price and once we agreed to go forward with the lease, he told me that no cars with the features offered at the quoted price were available. To lease a car, we were told we would have to increase our price per month. The features on the more expensive car were not at all important to us. He told us he would call us when the plates came into the dealership, so we could pick them up. The day before the temporary plates expired, I had to call and find out where my plates were. When I asked why we were not called when the plates arrived, the salesperson we dealt with told me he had tried to call me. In fact, no calls showed up on my caller i.d. and no messages were ever left on my voice mail. I was not at all impressed with the transaction and would not purchase another Honda at Immke.

Purchase was very much a yo-yo process. Car was promised within three days, but wasn't delivered for more than two weeks. Claim was continually that Civic is "hottest car around". Note that we didn't ask for the three day commitment, they just gave it. Finally, car was delivered as requested.

Overall it was a good experience. Immke uses an aggressive fluid change schedule but changing transmission fluid at 30K was probably worthwhile on this year's model since there was a recall on transmission cooling (recall changes were made at 20K). Brake fluid is recommended for every 3 years and the car was approaching that number.
Description of Work: 30K mile checkup - rotated tires, changed trans and brake fluids, rotated tires, checked car, and put in several additives. I had changed the air and cabin filters per the operators manual to reduce cost.

We've owned 7 Hondas. 5 of them have been bought at Eimkee and we always use them for service. They are great and we'll continue to have them service our cars. I've actually gone to them thinking I need something done and they'll let me know that I can wait a few more months so they don't try to convince me that I need something when I don't.

We were searching for a new Honda Civic and their sales men promised us a specific price on the new vehicle and for our trade-in, only to have them renege on the deal, when we returned to sign the paperwork. They were very dishonest and disrespectful and we would never purchase a vehicle from them. We ended up buying the vehicle at a different dealership.
