Description of Work: He quickly identified the problem as a faulty freezer box heater. Unfortunately our fridge is so old there were no replacement parts available. He tried his best and was very efficient. We'd use him again.

Description of Work: A repair on the water filter on my dishwasher. The vendor was punctual and fixed the problem so severe the dishwasher would not work.

Description of Work: Washer was not working. Tom checked it out and got some prices of the things needed. The cost was told to me before the work was done and I declined the work due to the cost. It was not Tom's fault for the cost, it was the parts, 2 new control boards and a new latch. Tom was clear in what could happen and gave me the options.

Description of Work: Contacted them to advise my washer had broken down. Honestly, I was expecting the worse. It turns out the problem was just a small part that needed replacing. The servicer person was punctual, professional and above all HONEST. This was a refreshing experience in an age where ripping someone off is commonplace. I would not hesitate to call Appliance Doctor again and I heartily recommend them!

Description of Work: Our Maytag washer was not starting the load cycle correctly and not auto-filling the water level as it was supposed to. The cycle control was stuck which he fixed by hitting the control panel hard. The hit left a dent, but the control works now. The water level problem was diagnosed and the cost of buying a new control for that was provided, but we elected not to do the work. Good information was provided on how washers are made today and why they are getting more expensive to fix with electronics having taken the place of mechanical controls.

Description of Work: Whenever I call Appliance Doctor to fix something that has gone wrong, from a fridge to the dryer in 2014, he is prompt, knowledgeable, and knows exactly what to do and does it quickly. I don't feel I ever need to call anyone else as his prices are right, the response time is quick, and I know it is getting fixed right.

Description of Work: He replaced a part on our washer. He was very knowledgeable and efficient.

Description of Work: contacted to repair Kitchenaid diswasher (upper tray and slide were not functioning properly.) He came, but had to go get the part. He came back with the part but worked for nearly an hour trying to get the diswasher out from under the cabinet and then did not have the right tool to disconnect the water. He finally gave up, but to his credit he did not charge me for the labor (beyond what I already paid) or the part. I think he's a one-person company and this repair seemed to baffle him.

Description of Work: The water filter in my refrigerator was leaking and the ice make in the freezer was malfunctioning at times. The Appliance Dr called prior to his arrival. He made his recommendations for the fixes and had to go get the parts. After replacing the filter, the leak was fixed and the ice maker seemed to work again. The serviceman indicated if the ice maker was not working again with 30 days, there would be no service call fee. A week later, the ice maker broke again. He came back again and replaced it with a new one. The initial service call was very reasonable and I was very pleased with all the transactions.

Agreed on 10:00 am. Very punctual and responsive. Came on time and replaced the relay switch. He was done in 45 minutes and cleaned up. | |Good service

Description of Work: Dryer was repaired. Called and they answered the phone. Came right out and had it fixed in no time.

Description of Work: Provided two services- checked out broken wash machine and looked at drainage problems with refrigerator. Serviceman identified wash machine as essentially unrepairable, which confirmed my diagnosis based upon review of wash machine troubleshooting guides. He was able to fix problem with refrigerator. He clearly explained described all the issues associated with his diagnosis and clearly explained my options.

Description of Work: Replaced part on Kenmore refrigerator water dispenser. Labor was about $90 and part was $100. Used a metal replacement instead of plastic which should not break. The refrigerator is about 5 years old and should have had the metal piece to begin with!
