Description of Work: In 2009 I had Stoneleaf, based on friend's recommendation, remove bricks by font entrance which had buckled and become unsafe. Stoneleaf replaced with pavers to match my driveway. That was such a good experience that the following year, April 2010, my husband and I had Stoneleaf re-landscape about 2/3's of our back yard which had last been landscaped by us as new homeowners about 25 years prior. Pat came out, one of the owners, met with me initially to ask what I had in mind, drew up a plan and met with my husband and me to present the design. It was very thorough including print-outs of plants he would use including pictures and information about each plant. We signed off and a crew of about five arrived one morning and in a day the old was out and the new was in. The clean-up was meticulous. My lawn furniture was returned to correct placement, and there was no personal trash from lunch or breaks. We love the design, and I've had a couple of questions about care and maintenance in the past year since the work was done, I fire off an e-mail to Pat and within a day I get an answer. This fall, a year later, I told my husband "this is the back landscaping of the backyard we've ever had." He agreed. Kudos to Stoneleaf! I absolutely and unconditionally would recommend them to friends and acquaintenances based on these two past experiences.

Description of Work: Tim showed up on the wrong day for the estimate, but happily returned on the correct date. He was pleasant and professional during the estimate and appeared to be knowledgable. Approximately 10 days later, I called Tim concerning the status of our plan and he reported we would have it in a few days. That was the last I heard from StoneLeaf/Tim. Very odd, we had a large patio project and he never followed up.

 + -1 moreWork was performed in July 2007. Pat and his crew were a pleasure to work with. Took them 2 days. They started along the creek and removed all the brush, weeds, trees and stumps. Then they moved to the area beside the house and between the house and shed and created a planting bed. This required them to remove more stumps. They hauled all of the debris away. The second day they showed up with soil and mulch. They put down a weed killer to try to help kill any roots that may have remained. Transplanted the daylillies and some English ivy and mulched all the areas. They also helped me by planting some of the plants I had purchased to go along the back edge of the yard above the creek.
Description of Work: Clear brush, weeds and trees & stumps along the creek behind my house. Create planting bed beside the house and between house and shed. Remove stumps along fence and beside house. Transplant daylillies from in front of house to along creek bank. Mulch all the areas they worked on.

 + -1 moreTim responded to my email within 24 hours. We scheduled an appointment to discuss my needs. He listened carefully and made a lot of notes. I had an unusual drainage issue and he came up with a suggestion on the spot that I really liked. About 10 days later he brought me a detailed drawing and an estimate. He went over the proposal in detail and made changes I requested. An updated estimate was emailed to me later that evening. By the time I gave him the go ahead to do the work, he had invested over 5 hours of his time working with me and several more developing the plan. A week later work began. I was very impressed with the crew, their professionalism and the clean up every day before they left. There was a lot of small stone debris from the stone work, but they cleaned up every little chip from the yard. I couldn't be happier with the finished project and neither could my neighbors! The serviced I received and the value added to my home were both well worth the cost of the project.

 + -1 moreThe owner, Tim came and his crew was quick and gave good suggestions that matched perfectly with what I wanted. Tim's ideas and services seemed to be high quality. It was a smaller job, but he gave it the same attention as if it was a large project. It was very pleasing to me to get that kind of quality and attention. I have an unusual home that dates from the 1800's; he had a good understanding of the aesthetics to what I was looking for with my historic home. The clean-up was perfect. He was even ahead of schedule. The finished product was beautiful.

 + -1 moreTim came out and looked at the existing patio. He came back in about a week with a detailed drawing of he's proposal for the new patio and an itemized list of costs. Once I gave him the go ahead to do the work, they started within a few weeks. It took about a week to complete the project. I spoke with them daily about progress and possible changes. I was very impressed with how well the work crew cleaned up after themselves every day before they left.
Description of Work: Removed old slab patio and installed new paver patio. Create new flower beds around patio and existing pond.

We originally contacted them about moving a Japanese maple from our back yard to our front yard, and while doing the estimate, Dave suggested several other improvements we could make. We reviewed the plan and his bid, and decided to go for it. Thanks to some cancellations due to weather, Dave and his team were able to perform the work the next day, completely exceeding my expectations. The finished product looks great, and we've received several compliments from neighbors on the new look of our front yard.
Description of Work: Designed new landscaping for our front yard, then installed all the appropriate plants, mulch, etc. Also moved a large Japanese maple from our back yard to our front yard.

They all worked in a way that provided no damage to our existing landscaping! We are very pleased with this new addition to our house and yard. A visitor says it looks like Stonehenge!
Description of Work: Stoneleaf installed a paver patio with surrounding walls. Also, installed were two stepups to two house doorways. In addition, a paver side walkway was laid to lead from from our driveway to the patio.

BEFORE I MAILED THE BALANCE DUE OF OUR BILL I CALLED HIM AGAIN, AND REQUESTED PRINTED INFORMATION ABOUT CARING FOR THESE PLANTS, WHICH HE DID SEND. WHENEVER I DID CALL HE DID RETURN THE CALLS PROMPTLY, BUT I DO FEEL THAT HE SHOULD NEVER HAVE SET IN THE PLANTS IN THE FIRST PLACE WITHOUT CONFIRMING THE DATE WITH ME. HE SHOULD ALSO GIVE OUT PRINTED INSTRUCTIONS FOR PLANT CARE AS STANDARD OPERATING PROCEDURE, AND SHOULD GENERALLY HAVE KEPT ME INFORMED ABOUT THE PROCEDURES.
Description of Work: SET IN 3 RHODODENDRONS, & 1 HEMLOCK. THE HEMLOCK DIED, & IT WAS REPLACED. THE WORK, AND THE PRICE WERE OKAY. THE LACK OF COMMUNICATIONS WASN'T. IN OUR INITIAL CONTACT IN MAY I INFORMED DAVID CAROSELLI THAT WE WOULD BE AWAY SEVERAL TIMES DURING THE SUMMER SO I EXPECTED A FALL PLANTING. WE RETURNED HOME IN JUNE, AND FOUND THE PLANTING DONE (3 RHODODENDRONS, AND 1 HEMLOCK). THERE WAS A MESSAGE ON OUR ANSWERING MACHINE SAYING THAT THEY WERE COMING OUT THAT DAY (THE DAY OF THE CALL), BUT OF COURSE WE DIDN'T GET THE CALL UNTIL WE GOT HOME SEVERAL DAYS LATER. HE THEN PROMISED TO WATER WHILE WE WERE GONE THE NEXT TIME WHICH HE DID. THE HEMLOCK DIED, AND HE CAME OUT TO CONFIRM THAT IT HAD, WITHOUT SPEAKING TO ME. I SAW HIM COME AND FOLLOWED HIM OUT TO THE CAR TO ASK WHAT HE HAD SEEN. HE SAID THAT IT WAS UNDER WARRANTY AND THEY WOULD REPLACE IT. LATER IN THE SUMMER I CALLED HIM TO FIND OUT WHEN THEY WOULD REPLACE IT AND WAS TOLD SOMETIME IN THE FALL.
