This was a large and very messy job but Paul was very clear about the work that would be done so we wouldn't be surprised. And they did a great job isolating the mess from the rest of the house. Much of the work, jackhammering the trench, carrying the gravel and cement to the basement was done by hand but was done very quickly. Everyone with the company was very professional and worked very hard to complete the job. We now have a very dry basement.

From the beginning, Paul was able to present a much better product and reputation. Seeing a book of satisfied customers dating back to 1975 was pretty compelling. Not that the others weren't very capable and reputable, but it was clear that Rogers was a step above the rest. For every meeting, Paul was ontime, very friendly, and acted professionally. The two days his crew worked on our project they were all courteous and informative. They answered all my questions and went out of their way to be friendly. The first day they hit an issue with our sewage stack and it was clear to all of us that the issue was from many years ago. It did not matter to Paul and his team. They went above and beyond to fix the issue and did so at no cost to me. I could not be happier with the overall experience that I received from Rogers Basement Waterproofing. I called the company on 9/4/2012. We had some minor water issues in the basement. Paul called back the next day and came over. He looked at the corners, and said there is no need to waterproof because there is not enough moisture on the walls for that. He said he could seal and paint the walls white. That was wonderful advice. The 3 guys came on 9/17/2012 at 8 AM( earlier in the week than I thought they would come. Very good!). In 3 1/2 hours the painting was done. They laid plastic on the floors leading to the basement, and moved some shelves from the walls that were too unwieldy for us to move.Bill explained what they did and what we should watch for in the future. Now the basement looks nice and clean and white. If there is any peeling to call them. We really appreciate Paul's honesty in evaluating our situation. This is a company that others should learn from. Thank You very much.

I set up an appointment with Paul; he called me in advance to let me know he was on his way, just as I asked. When he got there, he looked at the damage and quickly said it was no big deal. After looking around the house, he quickly saw that my gutters and downspouts were to blame, and when I admitted I'd been having trouble getting an estimate I liked, he immediately put me in touch with a guy who he recommended (he even called him for me). He told me to fix the crack myself, shook my hand, and drove off without trying to take a dime from me. I don't know I'll use his gutter guy, but I appreciate Paul's honesty and helpfulness, and he'll definitely be my first call if I ever need basement work again!

Paul came out to the house and walked me through everything that would need to be done. I needed to remove some drywall on several walls to give them good access to the perimeter of the basement. They came in on a Monday and were completely through by Wednesday. The finish job was excellent and I would use them again. I had to wait for a significant rain to make certain the drain and pump would work and last week we received 2" of rain in an hour, you could hear the water running into the drain and eventually to the pump. It worked just as I had hoped. I have a dry basement for the first time in years. Paul was also available to answer any questions I had and took as much time as I needed. Good job to Paul and all the crew.

I have several leaks in my basement walls. Most of the leaks are in one area, with another smaller leak on an adjacent wall where my house meets my driveway. I called for an estimate to repair the leaks. Paul very promptly returned my call, and we scheduled a mutually convenient time for an estimate. He arrived for the estimate right on schedule. He looked at my problem, inside and out, which he said could be repaired by a "big fix", or maybe (hopefully!) a MUCH smaller, do-it-yourself fix, i.e. rerouting the bottom of a downspout so that it drains further away from my house & caulking a spot where the driveway meets the house that may be causing a leak. Paul recommended that I try the inexpensive fix first, and if that does not work to my satisfaction, we'll talk again. I felt that I should pay him for his time and expertise, but he would have non of that. He is a very knowledgable, kind, personable, and honest man, and I highly recommend talking to him and Rogers Basement Waterproofing for ANY basement water problems, big or small. Needless to say, I was impressed. If my do-it-yourself efforts are not successful, I'll be calling Rogers for further help and would recommend them to anyone.

Rogers made a suggestion in their quote which we followed and our problem went away! Their rates in comparison with other companies are really good.

Paul immediately returned my call and met me at my house within two days to assess the problem (wet basement) and propose the solutions. Paul explained the whole process very well and his contract was a very simple one page form without any legal mumbo jumbo. He was able to schedule the work within a week due to an unexpected opening. The work took two days to complete. Basement waterproofing is very messy, dusty, and wet work, but at the end of each day you would hardly know they were here. Everything was very neat and clean. They even went so far as to put down new mulch where they disturbed the landscaping. I've never seen anyone do that. The overall experience was wonderful. I've never seen a contractor pay so much attention to all of the little details. The finished work is FLAWLESS. Rogers is coming back out to seal the interior walls with Thoroseal. In the ten years I have owned my home I have never had a better experience with a contractor.

We are very pleased with this company. The process was great from start to finish. Paul is excellent at communicating with clients and providing prompt responses. The crew all works for Rogers--no contracting out. Everyone was very knowledgeable about their company, very professional, prompt, and polite. They cleaned up after themselves every day and found the least intrusive ways to do the work. Their price was excellent compared to the other companies who provided estimates to us (EverDry, Basement Doctors, and Buckeye Foundation Systems). They promised the price agreed upon would stay the same--even if they ran into unforeseen problems. That proved to be true. Some of our existing i-beams looked fine on the outside and we planned to keep them. However, when the work started they discovered that they were rusted through at the bottom and on the inside. They included the additional beams without adding to our cost. We were impressed that they were true to their word. We found this company here on Angie's List. We had never heard of them before but are so glad we found them. They do great work. Four months later, our basement is dry as a bone and is looking great! We also found out that Rogers did our neighbor's basement 7 years ago under a previous owner. Their basement still looks great too and it is dry.

We are preparing our house to be put on the market this fall. I knew I had water problems in the basement. I called them to come out to evaluate and quote. Paul confirmed my evaluation and gave me an oral quote to completely water proof the walls of our very large basement, and to trench and install new drain pipe around the complete perimeter. I had used these guys in the past, was very satisfied at that time, and knew they had maintained their all A's rating on Angie's List over the ensuing years. After Paul told me their quote, I shook his hand and said "Go". Within 3 days they had completed the project. Part of the project included rebuilding our sump well and plumbing the piping to the exterior of the house into the buried gutter drain pipe. That was part of the work which I had not anticipated. They were extra careful to ensure that once the water was outside, the water would always flow downhill to the gutter piping to prevent standing water which, in the winter, could freeze and back things up. I was very impressed with the quality and care of their work in this whole project. Water-proofing a basement is very labor-intense and back-breaking work. Because of that, I was very surprised and impressed with the pleasantness of every member of their team at all times throughout the project. Professionalism and quality of workmanship is a given and to be expected from a company that has consistently earned all A's on AL over the years. But to be pleasant and respectful during this type of body-busting work earns a rating that is beyond "Excellent".

We recently moved and within a month realized that we had some water. We had some of the big companies come in and we were unimpressed with both their marketing techniques and high prices. After reading the reviews for Roger's Basement Waterproofing on Angie's list, we decided to give them a try. I left a message with the receptionist and Paul promptly returned my call. He came out to our home a few days later to give us a free estimate. We showed him the water spots and explained that we had just moved. My husband also informed him that he just cleaned out the gutters a few days ago which were quit clogged. Paul was pleased and stated that that was probably 80% of the problem. We told him that we were planning on finishing the basement within the next few months. Because of this, Paul suggested that we have a sump pump installed. We agreed. We didn't have an outlet near the area where the sump pump would be installed and since we didn't know of any electricians, he set us up with a guy who gave a us a fair price. Paul and his crew came out the very next week and took a total of two days for our project. Since my husband and I work and were unable to be there, we left a side door open so they would be able to enter and leave. The first day I came home from work, I expected there to be dirt all over the house, but, unless you looked down the basement, there was no sign of them even being there! It was amazing. That night, Paul called to make sure everything was okay and to see if we had any questions. The next day we came home to a finished project. We followed up with Paul so that he could give us a brief overview. We are very pleased with the company and will be sure to recommend them in the future.

Called several providers. Paul arrived, gave preliminary analysis, suggested removing materials to perform more detailed analysis, provided preliminary estimate less than others. On 2nd visit, Paul affirmed problems, could see more work needed, gave final estimate $1000 less than others, including tips to make job go smoothly. Very professional analysis and courtesy. Crew came exactly as scheduled, more than originally planned (which allowed job to go more quickly). Crew courteous and customer-friendly, did work with speed and skill, cleaned up thoroughly, and suggested some additional things I could do to minimize water impact on basement. A great experience; I'd highly recommend the firm.

Can't write a better review than praising a company for NOT doing work. Noticed some small leaks in basement, called them. Paul came out the very next day. He noticed right away that it wasn't really a basement issue, but an outside grading/gutter issue. So instead of making me pay a bunch of money for work I didn't need, he pointed out what could be done outside to fix the issue. Couldn't be happier with his professionalism and help.

Overall went very well. Company was very responsive to phone call for estimate and followup. Paul came out and gave estimate and crew was able to complete the work within a week. Everyone on the crew was polite and took care of my landscaping and yard as if it were their own. Would definitely use them again.

Rogers Basement Waterproofing did everything correctly. The team of eight workmen arrived on time, and each man introduced himself as he walked into my house. They wasted no time in getting to work. The steps to the basement were covered with a tarp to protect them. The men carried the old concrete out of the house, bucket by bucket. Everyone on the team worked efficiently and as neatly as they could. At the end of the first day, the perimeter of the basement had been dug up, concrete removed, and the walls sprayed with a mold killer. The men also checked the outside downspout and drain to the street to make certain it was open. On this very rainy day Paul even asked one of his men to open a clogged gutter. On the second day, the good-natured men returned to lay new drainage gravel and tile. They then put down new cement and installed the sump pump. After everything was in place and working, they painted the basement walls with a mold killing paint. It was hard to believe that they were done in less than two days. The men cleaned up after themselves and traces of debris were taken out of the house. They wanted to leave the basement and steps clean for me.

My sump pump was installed 9 years ago during a basement waterproofing job performed by a different company. During a routine examination of the pump this year by the installers, it was determined that the outside drain pipe from the pump was not draining the water adequately. Their estimate for replacing the pipe was ( I thought) rather high. John Rogers Basement Waterproofing was NOT the original installer, but I called Mr. Rogers after checking Angie's List. He returned my call very promptly, we discussed my problem and within 48 hours two very efficient men arrived at my home to evaluate and perform the necessary work. They replaced the pipe and added a clean-out pipe to help prevent back-up again. I was pleased that they not only did what was asked, but added further improvement to a job that was haphazardly done 9 years ago. No extra cost was added to my estimate for the improvements. I was very pleased with the work done by John Rogers' men from start to finish. Phone communication was prompt and polite, workmen arrived on time and worked efficiently. Before the drainage pipe was covered with soil, they showed me what they had done and explained all of their work. I know my project was very small compared to their usual jobs, bu I feel they did their work with the same respect and work ethic of a larger job. The price was very reasonable, being half the amount of the estimate I received from the original company. I would highly recommend the John Rogers Basement Waterproofing company.

Paul and I developed and immediate positive relationship upon his first visit. He knew exactly what he was doing. He had a list of references in a book ... I looked and a friend of mine was in there. Sure enough, my friend confirmed that he had had NO PROBLEMS (used them 10 years ago). LIFETIME WARRANTY in writing. The price was HALF AS MUCH as a competitor's "patented system" By my own judgement and technical opinion ... Roger's basement waterproofing system is better than the "patented system" because they dig down deeper in to the ground to lower the water table level lower. Paul looked for ways to do the job correctly, adequately ... and at the lowest price possible. He even allowed me to do some of the work myself ... he even let me use one of his guys who was looking for some extra side work to help with demo of some finished walls a few feet up above the floor. I'm an engineer ... so I'm picky about things like this ... Roger's Basement Waterproofing exceeded my expectations. He even honored the Angie's List coupon. That was 3 months ago and everything seems to be working as it should. Thank you Paul and Roger's Basement Waterproofing P.S. DO NOT USE BASEMENT DOCTOR - THEY ARE OVERPRICED AND THEIR "PATENTED" SYSTEM IS NOT AS GOOD AS WHAT WATER ROGER'S BASEMENT WATERPROOFING DOES. I CAN MAKE THIS ASSESSMENT BECAUSE I'M A MECHANICAL ENGINEER WITH WATER MANAGEMENT / PIPING / PLUMBING DESIGN EXPERIENCE. THE "PATENTED" SYSTEM IS A SALES GIMICK IN MY OPINION - AND REALLY SHOULD BE CHEAPER BECAUSE THEY DON'T DIG DOWN AS DEEP AND DO AS MUCH WORK. IT'S LOGICAL TO ASSUME THAT THE HIGHER PRICE IS BECAUSE YOU ARE PAYING FOR COMMERCIALS AND MARKETING, NOT A BETTER SYSTEM.

They were wonderful and I have recommended them to others. I must have interviewed 7 different companies, they were honest and I have never had a problem with anything. They had it done in 4 days and it was so neat. I wish I could have every other outcome like this.

After just recently subscribing to Angie's list I searched for drain repair companies and came upon Rogers basement waterproofing company. There're highly rated and well thought of so I gave Paul the owner a call to come out and give me an estimate. He responded quite promptly and gave me a more than fair estimate and the opportunity to have the work done the next day due to a scheduling change. To make a long story short by noon the following day Jason, Craig and Craig (who are all just awesome) were cleaning and packing up preparing to leave. Their pride in workmanship, attention to detail and camaraderie was just terrific. Paul followed up with me later in the day to make sure that I was happy with the job they did. Paul provided knowledgeable assessment of the cracks in the basement wall and remedial action. Paul and team came promptly on the scheduled date/time, completed the work, cleaned up everything before they left.
