I talked to him. He told me how much it would be and everything I needed to know about it. He told me that if I called in August, he would start delivering at that time. The quote was $275 for a stacked cord of wood. He was great. He just was the man to talk to. He knew what he was talking about. I think it's a good price. He called me back right away. He seems like he really knows what he is talking about. He is very upfront about everything. I will probably continue to use him.

They do clean up. They trim the tree's and bushes. They put mulch down. They do outdoor spring cleaning and the quality is very good.

On time and good phone communication. Probably a bit more expensive than the competition but wood is excellent quality and customer service was excellent. You get what you pay for.

We were told that delivery would be ten days later. Then to our surprise an opening in their delivery schedule in our area opened up three days later! Great service, communication and product! The wood is very well seasoned and we will order from here again!

I called more than one landscaper to perform the renovation of my front lawn. Norm Pitzer was the only person that was responsive, on time and was willing to do the work. He has a passion for the work that he performs and he has a tremendous work ethic. The work performed was thorough and very professionally completed. Norm continuously came back to check on my lawn while it grew from the seed to ensure that it was doing well and was watered properly. While I think the price was a little high, he didn't have much competition and the price included materials and labor. The materials included landscaping rock for each side of the house and new soil for the front yard as well as a tree, new bushes, mulch, seed, fertilizer, etc. The yard looks amazing and it was in very bad condition having just had the water line replaced over the summer.

Norman returned my call promptly and said he'd be able to schedule a delivery sometime in the next two weeks. About ten days later, he called and said they would show up a few days later. They were on time, courteous, easy to work with.

Norman did a great job. He came exactly when he said he would. He stacked the fire wood where I asked. The wood is very good quality. Can't wait to have a fire in our fire place.

I have gotten firewood from Norman several times and will continue to do so. Great service, reasonable prices, and excellent quality of firewood. Highly recommend!

Norm responded to my e-mail quickly. When coming to my home he worked up a quote which I accepted. The work was started the beginning of the following week. It was done as showers were arriving which enabled the newly seeded lawn to get off to a good start. About two weeks after the initial work, Norm came by to reseed a couple of bare spots and apply additional starter fertilizer. The newly seeded lawn is well established and should "take off" in the spring. Norm is a delight go work with and takes pride in his work.

This is the best wood in town, hands down. After using a couple different companies, I have used Pitzer for the last few years and I am never disappointed. Excellent wood and a cord appears to be a true cord. You will not be disappointed.

Pitzer's customer service is second to none, honestly. Out of every service I have ever contracted and every profession with which I have interacted, Norm's company is the best when it comes to providing excellent work in a timely fashion and then following up regularly. Highest of praise for this company!! I first emailed Pitzer's via Angie's List website and provided my cell phone number. Norm called me the following day and came out to see my yard within 48 hours. (He had same day availability, but I wasn't available.) He walked the whole lawn with me, front, back, and alley. He recommended that I burn out everything because it had been overgrown with weeds and there was little if any real grass left. He was available to start work within two weeks, but I was having landscaping done, so he tole me to call him when the landscaping was nearing completion. When I called Norm back, he came out and walked the yard with me again. I showed him areas of weeds/trees that I wanted removed, where I wanted grass, and where I never wanted to mow again (slanted strip outside of my back yard fence, along an alley and by my garage). He gave me recommendations and estimates that day, and I made a down payment (half of the total cost of the job). Because the forecast called for rain in the next couple of days, he sprayed the grass and weeds that day to burn the lawn out. He came back the following day to inspect the sprayed areas. Norm gave me a general timeline for how long it would take and how often I would need to water. He always told me when he would come back out to check on things and he always called me the day before he came out so that I could unlock the gate to my back yard so his crew could get in while I was at work. Within 10 days of him spraying my yard, the entire yard was tilled up, new topsoil laid down, seeded the yard, and dug up trees/weeds between a fence and my garage, along my patio, and along the alley, outside of my back yard fence. They then put down nylon sheets and placed gravel on top in the areas we had discussed. The day after the work was completed, Norm met me at my house to go over lawn care. I was running 5 minutes late, and when I got home, Norm was there, watering my lawn for me. He showed me how much and what type of nozzle to use to water. He came back out every 5-7 days to monitor lawn progress. He added soil and re-seeded bare patches, and he raked over areas that had been turned up by squirrels and neighborhood dogs. When the back yard had areas of weed growth, he brought his crew back out to dig up the weeds and place new soil and seed. All of this service was for the cost I paid from the outset. There were no additional charges for the additional seedings or additional weed pulling. I have never had better customer service from any other provider in any profession. I give Norm and Pitzer's the highest possible praise and would recommend them to anyone. All of my neighbors stop and ask who did my lawn because it grew in so fast and so thick, and it looks beautiful. I could not be happier.

Our yard was very difficult to work on due to the large number of surface roots from five large trees that were removed. After my husband and I spent countless hours trying to remove tree roots and grade the yard by hand ourselves, we hired Norman to finish the job (I think we won the prize for the most tree roots in a yard.) He graded, tilled, put down a compost/topsoil blend, and seeded the front, back and side yards. It was a pleasure working with Norman. He drove by the yard several times after he completed the work it to make it was coming along well, and followed up with me about watering. The grass came up nicely in the spring, and I am happy!

Perfect! Norman is so great to work with. He was right on time and delivered exceptional work. He was able to complete my job in less than a week! I was so impressed with the results. My landscaping is so fresh and on point. Defiantly will work with Pitzer in the future.

Due to a lot of shade and lack of good topsoil in my backyard, most of the grass had died. Norm was fantastic to work with throughout the whole process. He called me back within a day of my initial contact, and was prompt with scheduling and completing all services. He explained the reasons behind all his recommendations, and I felt very comfortable taking his suggestions. They scheduled and completed the job quickly and professionally. When I got home from work, they were just finishing up, and they had cleaned everything up and left no trace that they'd been there. Norm followed up with me and checked on the yard's progress in the weeks that followed, and came back out to re-seed a section that wasn't taking. Throughout the process, Norm seemed like he genuinely cared about providing a quality service. I am very pleased with the job and my yard looks better than ever!

We have used Norm every year for our annual clean-up and he and his guys are fantastic. Very responsive -- Norm called me back the day I left a message and had his guys out the next week. They even came out on a Saturday to start the job. Took multiple days to complete (moderate sized yard). Norm is very knowledgeable and was pointing out bushes that we should keep an eye on as they had clearly struggled through the harsh winter. I will definitely continue to use Pitzer Landscaping.

Norman came right out (the same day I called) to give me an estimate. He walked me through the problems, offered solutions and wrote up an estimate on the spot. My yard/house was in dire need of help. He was able to get a team to my house the very next day. The team added lots of soil around the perimeter, raised up my window wells, filled them with gravel and even went the extra mile and reconnected my sump pump which had separated due to ground movement. I did not meet Norman the day the work was preformed, but he took the time to call me, later on that same day, to make sure everything was ok and suggested that we mulch over the new dirt ASAP.

Norman was a pleasure to work with and we were very pleased with the work that was done. He was very prompt to return phone calls and easy to communicate with. He worked with us to be sure that we were choosing plants for our landscaping that we would be happy with in the long run. He also followed up after the job to be sure everything was to our satisfaction. When we mentioned a few little things that we would like done differently (change the curve in the edging of a bed, prune a couple bushes back a bit further), he sent someone out the very next day to take care of these things. The people working with him were also very pleasant and everyone kept us informed of what was going on during the whole process. His price may run on the higher side, but we feel that it is well worth it because we feel confident that we can depend on him to back up his work should we have any problems in the future or not be satisfied with the outcome. We have also gotten wood from him twice in the past and it has been the best wood we have ever purchased and has always been stacked nicely (at the far back end of our lot - as we have requested!)

Delivered and stacked a cord of firewood, promptly and on time. Can't comment (yet) on Quality, as the first arm-full of logs were wet and snow covered as I was not able to tarp before our rain/snow. Will update when I burn some dry wood.

It was spectacular! My front and side lawns were green-- but they weren't grass. A mix of crab grass and assorted weeds. The back area is heavily wooded and had been overgrown with brush honeysuckle, which we removed prior to this project. At our first visit, Norm listened carefully as I described what I wanted. He asked questions and made some suggestions, almost all of which we accepted. He prepared a bid right then. He provided references to work he had done for others.It is obvious he cares a lot about the quality of his work and his relationship with his customers. Work started when he said it would. I knew what was supposed to happen each day, and when to expect other trucks etc. When rain interfered, he communicated well to me new changes in schedule. They get an A+ on timeliness and communication. Norm was present every time his crew was, and often came by himself at other times to do prep work. All the men were hard working and professional in all their dealings with me. Because there was no real access to the back yard for larger equipment, there was a lot of hand work--shovels and wheel barrows. They kept a tidy work area. Some tools that were left here from day to day were always neatly gathered together at the end of the day. They were careful to close our gates when they left so I could let the dogs out. The site preparation took about a week. Once the grass was seeded and fertilized, Norm suggested what kind of sprinklers we should employ, and positioned the hoses and sprinklers for me. I appreciated the care with which he did this and the careful instructions he gave me about watering. He checked back at least weekly to see how the grass was coming in. After a couple of weeks, he hand raked to remove the deer tracks made in the soft muddy soil, and applied additional seed to the more sparse areas. As of this writing, the grass has come in and is a couple inches tall in most places and looks marvelous. There are still some areas of sparse growth, but they are not very large, and I expect by spring they will fill in. I really enjoyed working with Norm and heartily recommend them to anyone with a similar problem yard.

Called to confirm the order and delivered on a Sunday, also helped stack the wood even though I had not asked for the services prior to delivery.

Norman called ahead of time to confirm delivery. Delivery was on time, very friendly driver. The wood was very nice, split into uniform/manageable size. I have received firewood from other providers where I had to split the logs myself to make them usable.
