Description of Work: Telephonic/remote clean-up of my hard drive. However, there were numerous issues which were not fixed and I did not feel that the vendor was that involved in taking proactive steps to actually correct the issues that I continue to have with back-up and recurring error messages.

Description of Work: My intent was to speed up the processing on the computer. Vendor was able to eliminate the possibilities of virus or malware being the cause, and correctly identified the virus software as the biggest drag on the system. Unfortunately the only correction available was to change virus software vendors. Several services that were initiated at start-up were eliminated, but the differences were not noticeable. A couple of services that were stopped had to be restarted as they were associated with other software. | |Although the process did not appreciably speed up my computer, at the price it was money well spent. I eliminated some worries and identified the main culprit, i.e. when I stopped virus scanning for 15 minutes, the computer was as fast as ever. |
