Dryer Vent Wizard of Central Ohio

The service was not exactly what I expected. I guess I thought dryer vent cleaning meant the vent all the way into the dryer. They only cleaned the vent from the outside to where it connected to the dryer. But that was my fault for not asking clearer questions. They were very polite, prompt, and responsible.

We had this company about 2 years ago reroute our dryer vent from the garage (dumb initial installation before we lived here) to the outside going through the basement (first floor laundry). Francis was the technician the initial time and the most recent time. It was done well when rerouted and the more recent cleaning also went well. Francis was great both times and the prices both times were reasonable. We will use them again for our next service.

James was right on time and very easy to work with. Cleaned out the line and found a birds nest that was likely the source of our problem. He recommended replacing the vent cover to prevent birds from getting in again in the future, so we paid to have that done as well. He was also nice enough to suggest how we could alter our transition connection from the dryer to the wall to prevent kinking. All-in-all a great experience. My only disappointment with the $49 diagnostic inspection fee. When I called the schedule the appointment, the estimate I was given was $178 which was spot on, except it did not include the $49 fee. You would think that this should be brought up when you schedule your service!

The service was great. The technician was exactly on time. He was professional and friendly, he described all that he was doing. When I asked about the outside covers because birds have been trying to nest in the vents, he suggested a different type of cover and I have not had trouble with birds since. I will be using this company again and will recommend the company to all my friends.

Called at 8.30am and someone was here by 12.30pm. Unbelievable response time, even when it was not an urgent call. Gentleman who came by (Francis Coleman) was super nice, thorough, and informative. Took a few minutes to explain the results and what he found in the vents. Also showed me the new level of air flow and the improvements from when he had arrived. I had been putting this service off for a while, but these guys made it very easy and low maintenance.

Technician was on time and the job took about one hour. He vacuumed up all the dryer went and left the work area very clean.

The job was done well.They called before arriving. He even called to see if coming early would work in my schedule. Francis, the tech that came out, explained everything and asked if I had any questions.I asked him how long should I go between dryer vent cleanings. I expected him to say at least once a year, to drum up business. But he didn't. He told me the manufacturer timeline, but he also added that I didn't need to strictly follow that. I was impressed.

Professional, courteous, excellent work, on time, fast -- what more can you say? Service tech, James Hammond, was a peach! :-) Makes you want to do business more with small locally owned companies! Job cost was a bit higher than quoted, but to be expected. First, the outflow vent was underneath our deck with no access so it required the tech to take apart the pipes in the basement. Second, I bought a dryer vent cleaner tool. I would highly recommend this company to anyone needing excellent service!

We have used them twice and they will come out again in a year. What impressed me about them, they quoted us a low price and the job turned out to be a much bigger job than expected. I had expected them to charge more but he honored his original price. I will absolutely use them again, in fact, I won't use anybody else.

I have seen ads for Dryer Vent Wizard for quite awhile and when I saw a Big Deal I decided to use it to get my vent cleaned out. I called and scheduled an appointment for a dryer vent cleaning. In looking at the Big Deal, I saw that flexible foil could not be cleaned and should be replaced. My appointment was scheduled for the following week. When the technican Francis arrived, we went to look at the dryer and he he told me that he could replace the dryer vent pipe at that time while cleaning the vent. He replaced the vent pipe with a rigid aluminum dryer vent pipe. The dryer is two year's old and I haven't used it excessively. When finished, Francis told me that it was not overly dirty and I should not have to have it cleaned for another three years. He ran a dryer test to make sure that everything was ok. Francis was a very knowledgeable and personable person. We found that we had some things in common such as my neighborhood and a family member of his that I use to work with. I was very satisfied and will recommend Dryer Vent Wizard to others and will be using them again.

He quickly went about his business and made recommendations on things I should consider and even suggested which parts to use if I wanted to do them myself instead of having him to them. We have a long duct from dryer to outside. I use Dryer Vent Wizard every Spring. This cleaning helps with dryer performance and is a preventative measure for our house. I highly recommend this company.

While we have a really good dryer that is just a year old, it was not drying like we thought it should. SInce we have a service program that includes a 'tune up' for our washer and dryer, we had them come out and look. During their visit, the service tech indicated that we really needed to have our dryer vents cleaned out - and while we have had our ducts cleaned several times over the years, we had never had the dryer vent cleaned. So, after receiving a Dryer Vent Wizard coupon in a general mailing of coupons, I decided to look them on on Angies List. After seeing a lot of strong reviews, I called them and set up an appointment. On the day of the appointment they called ahead and when I told them I was just leaving work to come home, they said not a problem. The tech- Francis - was waiting for me when I pulled up. After explaining what we needed, Francis went to work. The first thing that he needed to do was to find where the vent exhaust was outside of our house. After not being able to find it in the easy places, he crawled up under our deck and found it. He first tested the air flow and then cleaned out a bit by hand. He showed me what he found and it was quite a handful of debris that had gathered over many years. With just that alone I am sure we would have had a great improvement in performance. After this though, the then 'vacuumed' out the vent from the outside and then tested the air flow again. When done, he showed me the results of the two tests. The first one, before the cleaning, was about 2/3rds of what they normally like to see. The second one was almost 2 1/2 times the first result and well past their benchmark. He then showed me a few tips on cleaning out the dryer filter, made sure there were no other questions and then left. Bottom line is we feel he did a great job and definitely would rehire.

Our dryer was taking forever to dry a load of clothes so I knew the dryer vent was clogged. I phoned a service company I know and trust to do the job, but they couldn't do the work for three weeks! I called Dryer Vent Wizard based on their A ratings and was pleased to get an appointment for the following day. Their technician James phoned thirty minutes before the schedule "window" and asked if he could come early. He inspected my dryer and vent system, gave me a firm price and went to work. He first measured the airflow (zero!). He cleaned out the dryer, which was a learning experience for me - he pulled out lots of compactedlint although I thought I had cleaned it thoroughly. Using forced air and brushes he then cleared the entire vent system. I took James' recommendation and had him install new duct from the dryer to the wall. After the service he checked the air flow which is now sixteen (miles per hour? Cubic feet per minute? I should have asked) which James said was excellent. He cleaned up thoroughly before he left. The cost of the service was a more than I anticipated but the quick appointment, very friendly service and complete work added up to a good value for me. I am 100% satisfied with the service and customer experience so I'll definitely call on this company in the future. Highly recommended.

Francis and James called before the appointment time to let me know there would be a slight delay because there was still frost on our steeply pitched roof. When they arrived a short time later, they climbed up on the roof and cleaned out what was a very dirty vent. They ran the dryer to ensure that the vent was clear. They also inspected both the in-house and outside vents for any defects. Francis suggested that I have the vent cleaned every couple of years, given the amount of laundry I do.

Francis was very professional, on time, and offered tips. He was able to cut a piece of our deck in order to get to the outside vent, which I appreciate so I didn't have to hire someone else to do it. I will, and have already, recommended Dryer Vent Wizard to friends and family, and will use them again.
