I just moved into my house 2 years ago and it's obvious the prior homeowner hadn't touched her trees in years. I decided to start with Angie's list to look for companies to come out and give estimates. Jim's All Seasons was one of the first companies I came across. There aren't many companies that have as many positive reviews as this one so I knew this would be the company to start with. I called Jim on a Saturday morning and he happened to pick up the phone. I thought that that I would have to wait a bit for somebody to come out but much to my surprise he said one of his guys (I don't remember his name) was out in my area and could be at my house in a couple of hours to give an estimate. Instead of quoting me a price right away he was nice enough to ask if there was a budget I was trying to stay within. I told him to just tell me the bottom line of what he thinks needed to be done with dead wood coming down and trimming while also making it look as nice as can be. He didn't hesitate on also quoting me the Angie's list discount. I also asked if paying in cash would save me money and he said it would save me tax (so if you want to save money that way pay in cash). He said that if I was interested they could probably come out within the week to do the work. He was very personable and seemed very knowledgeable about his line of work. He also assured me that it's their job to make it look as nice as possible. I was planning on getting a few more estimates so I told him that I would give a call back when/if I wanted them to come out. I went back on Angie's list and started looking at a few more companies but when it came down to it, I kept going back to the fact that Jim's All Seasons had all rave reviews. I wasn't going to waste my time having other companies come out. I called Jim and he said that he would be able to get his crew out within the week but because of my work schedule I went with something slightly further out. He let me know up front that should a storm come through the area there is always a chance non emergency appointments can be postponed, which is completely understandable and it was very professional to tell me that up front. The day of the appointment Jim introduced himself to me and made sure I didn't have any special requests. I told him that I trusted them to do what needed to be done and to just make sure it looked nice. This was a pretty big job as it took them over 4 hours to take down all of the dead wood and trim my 4 big oak trees. All of the workers seemed professional, knowledgeable and personable. They did a great job cleaning up after they were done and most of all it looks very nice! They price seemed more than fair for the amount of work that needed to be done. I will definitely use them in the future when it's time to trim the trees again!

We had them work at our previous house and they delivered again. They were punctual, got right to work and they did a great job. I would definitely recommend them to my friends.

After reading all 25 reports for Jim's All Seasons tree service on Angie's List I gave him a call and he did not disappoint. I left a message and he responded quickly in spite of multiple calls due to downed tree limbs in the area. He quickly came out and provided an estimate for the work at my house. His team came out in a couple days and I was impressed with their professionalism. They also willingly cut down another broken branch on a tree that I had not noticed needed work until the morning of the service on the other tree. At my mother's house, it turned out that the entire tree needed to be removed due to age and disease. My hard to please mother, was please that the complete tree removal and disposal was only $400. He came back the same day of the estimate and removed it. I definitely would rehire him to do additional work and have referred him to other family members for work they need to have done.

Saw Jiim's on Angie's List. Called him on a Saturday and he returned my call within an hour - and twenty minutes later the owner was giving me an estimate. 48 hours later the job was done to my complete satisfaction. Jim Castiano the owner is thoroughly professional. He explained what his crew was going to do, assuring me of his and his crew's certified and experienced method of operation. I would hire Jim's All Seasons in the future.

Jim's crew is outside finishing up a day-long job removing two very large trees (an ash and a maple) next to our house and we could not be happier with the quality of work and the contractor. I left Jim a voicemail for a quote on a Friday, he returned my call on Saturday and came out Sunday morning. No pressure or gimmicks: he listened to my concerns about the trees, which were rotted in places and leaning precariously, inspected them, explained what they would do, and calculated an estimate. After talking to Jim a bit about issues like insurance, I accepted on the spot and canceled my requests for other estimates. We've had other Angie's List contractors do work on our trees over the years, but this time we needed someone with the resources to handle a large job and Jim was clearly the right guy for this. They had intended to start the following Tuesday, but it so happened a severe storm came through that Sunday night, and Jim called a few hours after it stopped to let me know they would be delayed by emergency jobs. I assumed that would be the case, but Jim was considerate enough to call and let me know (it may sound like a small thing, but a lot of contractors-- even good ones-- don't always do that). Jim called last night and told me we were definitely on for this morning (Friday- just a week after I first called him) and the guys showed up around 8:30 and got right to work. It was a delicate job since (a) neither tree was really in climbable condition and (b) the trees were very close to our house, leaning over our neighbor's house and generally in a confined area. They used a bucket, a crane and a sling very efficiently to take the trees down without doing any damage to the ornamentals growing underneath or the stone pathway running next to the ash. I was frankly surprised (but happy!) they were able to do this. I highly recommend Jim and his crew. From start to finish this was a professional, efficient job by all of them.

Jim was very professional in all of our communications. He responded promptly to all calls and provided us with a timely estimate. He was able to schedule the work at a time convenient to our schedule which was really helpful as we were getting ready to start major work on the house. The cost was excellent when compared to other estimates and Jim was able to really help us stay in a reasonable budget for us. Work was done efficiently and without causing any damage to the house or the fence or interfering with any of the ongoing work. We were very pleased with the results and wouldn't hesitate to recommend Jim and his team to anyone else looking for tree work to be done. We will definitely use them again should the need arise.

The work was excellent. Jim responded to my call within 24 hours, came out the next day and scheduled me within a week. The crew showed up early, was courteous and had everything completed quickly. I would definitely use their services again.

I called in the morning and Jim responded by noon with an estimate. They had to postpone an earlier job so they were able to work on the tree that afternoon. By 5pm, the tree was cut down. His crew did a great job and cleaned up thoroughly afterward. The next day, Jim came out with the stump grinder and took care of the stump as well as three smaller ones in the yard. Jim was very professional and did a good job keeping me informed. Quick ,professional, thorough, great price, friendly -- all the qualities that you look for in great provider!

The tree was about 100 feet tall and weighed 8 - 10 tons. It was surrounded by 3 buildings each within about 10 yards of the trunk. Large branches hung over each building. Jim's crew brought everything down in 2 days. A couple of bent branches on a bush directly below the tree was the only noticable damage. That's pretty remarkable.

I left a message asking for an estimate the previous day. I was surprised the next morning to find them in my yard, and I agree with other reports that a heads-up prior to the visit would have been nice. Other than that, everything was great. The price was significantly less than the other company I got a bid from, and they got everything done in an hour, and without leaving any mess behind. Very friendly crew too. And they do give Angie's List discounts :)

Jim was one of three tree services I contacted regarding a dead tree. It was the only tree on our property or the whole neighborhood without leaves and I feared it would come down in a storm. Jim returned the call the next day and came out that afternoon to give me an estimate. He told me the tree wasn't dead; he spotted a couple little sprouts of leaves way up high. Said it was a late-bloomer and didn't really need to come down after all. He was more concerned about roots being too close to our foundation and drainage system at some point in the future. I appreciated his honesty that my problem wasn't as bad as I thought. But I decided to get it removed anyway, since his price was pretty cheap and I just wanted to not have to worry about it. He told me he could remove it the next Wednesday, or possibly Tuesday. The only minor nit I had with Jim. I thought he would call ahead on the day he was coming out, just as a heads-up. He came out Tuesday morning, so I didn't have stuff like my birdfeeder moved and hadn't moved my car out of my driveway ahead of time. No big deal, but a phone call ahead would have been better. He and his crew were here about two hours. Tree removed. Stump grinded. Only one small tread mark in the lawn from one of the pieces of equipment. Overall, great experience. I have other trees that will need removed in the back of the property and will definitely call him in the future.

They arrived on time. Had large tree trimming truck but could only use if to cut 3 sides of tree because we have a large deck in the back yard and there was no access to south side. They trimmed that side with hand held trimmer and did a great job. They cleaned all debris and left the yard looking good. Good job.

Jim responded to my phone call promptly - he arrived for the job as he promised. He did such a good job that I had him do addidional trees. He is more than reasonable in his price - I just can't say enough about how professional he and his crew were. They cleaned up before they left and above all, didn't ruin "any" of my shrubs and flowers when he did the work. I would suggest him to anyone that wants their trees cut down. You just couldn't ask for anyone any better than his tree service. I would rate them excellent.

He was very nice. He gave me a fair price. He came while I was at work, and I let him know I was concerned he would take too much off, and he told me not to worry. I wanted to make sure to keep certain branches and birdhouses. I asked him to leave me a tree limb cut from my nephews fireplace and he did that as well. I came home from work and the tree looked beutiful.

Vey pleased. Once they were on site, there were several more limbs that he brought to my attention & removed. Price was within what I was quoted even with the additionallimbs.

Great experience. Used Angie's list to find four companies to come out and quote the job. Jim came out just a few hours after calling for the quote. After all the other companies came out I decided to go with Jim as his quote was the lowest and after chatting with him I had confidence in his ability to handle the job. Crew came out right when they said they would and had all of the trees down, chopped up and the area cleaned in a few hours. All of the crew members were very professional and friendly. Will be using Jim next year to take down two other trees and to do some pruning.

The crew arrived on time and worked continuously. They were all very courteous and answered all questions. They did a great job of trimming and cutting down the four trees. They cleaned up after the job. All said, it was a very pleasant experience and I would certainly use them again in the future and have already recommended them to my son-in-law. JSW

This was a very big job and a number of other companies declined to bid on the job due to the scope of work and size of the trees. Jim and his crew completed the job to our complete satisfaction in 2 working days. Where necessary, Jim and his crew trimmed other trees to allow work to be done and did so in a way that complemented the tree's structure and appearance.

The service went well. Jim stopped by the house while I was home and looked at the tree in the backyard to provide an estimate. The tree, I believe, was/is a hornbean tree. It was too close to the house and the utility lines were entangled in the tree's branches. Jim indicated that he could trim the tree for about what it would cost to remove the tree. He quoted us a price of $300 to remove the tree and $50 to grind the stump. After some discussion with my spouse, we decided to remove the tree. Jim indicated he could do the job on the following Thursday. On the next Wednesday Jim called and asked if his crew could come over and begin the work. I agreed. His two-person crew, Jim was not on the crew but stopped by after the work had begun, arrived at the time Jim indicated. They were courteous and polite. They began work immediately. I left and ran an errand. When I returned from my errand Jim was on the job site. He indicated he would return that evening to grind the stump and we could settle up the bill at that time. He returned as indicated but he was unable to grind the stump due to an equipment problem (he lost the battery to start the grinder). He indicated he would contact a firm that grinds stumps and have it complete the job. He thought he could execute this on this evening. However, the other firm - a one-person operation I believe - was indisposed. Jim indicated he would arrange for the other firm to stop by the next day, Thursday, to grind the stump. Jim then indicated I should pay him for the removal of the tree $300 plus tax. I did. Later in the evening Jim called to indicate when the stump grinder would come by on Thursday. It went smoothly the next day. The stump grinding firm arrived on time and complete the work in a timely manner. The operator indicted the price would be $50. The only suggestion I would make is that it would be helpful to know ahead of time that the price of the work was not inclusive of tax. Hence, the price was a little higher than I had originally thought it would be. This may be my error for not understanding tax was not included in the estimate
