The job went great!! Elias promptly came to my home and gave me an estimate. I waited several weeks to contact for the job because I was trying to coordinate installation with vinyl siding my home. When I signed the contract, I was told it would be about 3 weeks for installation. I called their very helpful scheduler/secretary, Sophia, to ensure that the windows would be installed before the siding job started and she scheduled me a time that met my needs. Originally I was given an installition date that would have been after my siding was installed but when I explained that the glass block windows would need to be finished differently than the windows that were currently in, arrangements were made to meet my needs. Scott did a beautiful job installating my windows. Sophia was a pleasure to talk to. THANK YOU FOR MEETING MY NEEDS!! Everyone at Glass Block Headquarters were a pleasure to do business with. Everything went very well. The technician was on time and polite.

Was able to get quote over phone and e-mail with a drive-by look. Installation happened on scheduled date, and windows look great. Installer was clean and professional. My wife was surprised that sunlight actually comes into the basement. Wish I had done this years earlier. Price was excellent.

Installers were supposed to arrive between 8:30-9 a.m. Appreciated a call from Scott at 8:50 a.m. that they would be 10 minutes late. Did arrive at 9:10 a.m. Installation went smoothly, and am happy with the results so far. It took about 2 1/2 hours. There were a couple of things that were disconcerting. I was presented the bill before I did an inspection of the work, asked Rob if ok if I took a look - and he did say "by all means". I would expect the installers to advise me that the job was complete and accompany me while I inspected the job before presenting me with the bill. Dry wall panels were removed and not re-installed - I had to ask the installers. I was satisfied with their answer, I would think that they would offer the explanation without me asking. A little petty - used the commode and didn't flush. The truck leaked fluid on the new driveway - Scott immediately brought it to my attention and cleaned it up thoroughly. I was very happy with that. All in all - I am satisfied with the workmanship itself - just think they could use some work on professionalism.

Glass Block Headquarters had installed siliconed basement window panels for my mother about a year and a half ago, so I was already well aware of their quality of work and materials through her experience. I was pleased to see both are still a part of their performance. The saleman, Eli was on time and pleasant. He reviewed the job specifics and the installation process. He estimated a 4 hour install, indicating that poured wall foundations tend to take longer. The installers, Scott and Mike were delayed by their previous appointment but did contact me to both apologize for the delay and inform me they were enroute. Once they arrived, they promptly began working and were cleaned up and finished 3 hours later. Scott, the lead installer, explained everything they were doing and clearly answered any questions I had as the installation progressed. He even made some minor repairs to two of the openings and adivsed me on finishing the appearance once the mortar had both dried and cured. They thoroughly cleaned the job site when they were done, and Scott explained the warranty coverage completely before wrapping up and leaving. Any and all questions I had, from first contact to final payment were completely answered and/or resolved to my satisfaction. I would not only recommend Glass Block Headquarters to others but would absolutely return to them if any future needs call for glass block.

We were amazed at how smoothly the entire process went. We were called with a reminder the day before the installation. We did remove pictures from the wall that were near the windows upon recommendation from our initial contact. The installer worked quietly. Everything was cleaned up, debris removed and the washing machine/dryer put back in place. The windows look great, don't know why we waited so long. I would highly recommend Glass Block Headquarters.

The installer could have paid a little better attention to clean-up. I found a piece of the old window frame laying outside that he missed as we were outside inspecting the install. He forgot his saw and needed to use mine to get the windows out. I don't know what he would have done if I didn't have one. It appears to me that he did a good job.

I am quite pleased with their professionalism and service. The gentleman who came out to our home in January to provide a price estimate was friendly, helpful, professional and not pushy. He was straightforward and I felt that he sincerely cared about providing the right services for us. He was great! (His name was Eli.) I immediately felt comfortable doing business with them based on my conversation with Eli. Due to the crazy weather we have had since January, my window installation was cancelled once and it took about FOUR weeks from estimation to installation. However, this was to be expected and I was understanding of that. They were appropriately apologetic and called well enough in advance to reschedule installation. This morning my windows were installed. The installer, Scott, was professional, polite, friendly and ON TIME! He arrived exactly at the appointment time, which I appreciated. He explained what he was going to do and how long it would take. He was concerned about messing up my floors with his shoes, which I also appreciated as this showed he cared about his customers. He worked diligently on my windows for approximately 2 1/2 hours and when he was finished, he cleaned everything up. Again, he was as polite and professional as could be and I was very pleased. The windows look amazing -- better than I expected. I would HIGHLY recommend them to anyone!

They replaced our bathroom shower window with a glass block window that included a vent and installed glass block windows in our basement. They were on time, professional and efficient. We were very pleased with them and their work.

From quote to install, they were great! They showed up early, which was awesome! We have an older home and our one window was in really bad shape. He literally ripped it out with little effort. Made us really realize how great glass block windows are for the safety of our home, plus they look great! He kept us informed on everything that needed to be done step by step. He even went around to our other glass block windows and patched all the cracks! He took us around to go over everything and we were very pleased. He is very good at his craft. We would definitely recommend GBH if you want it done right!

We cautioned the company that on the scheduled date to replace the window we only had about a 3 three hour time frame for the work to be done - maybe, we might want to reschedule. Glass Block said no - they could complete the work.The installer arrived a couple minutes late due to a traffic problem. During the job his paddle to stir the concrete broke so he had to get a new one at a home supply store nearby. We needed to leave at noon. The installer finished at 11:45AM. The installer was personable, competent, cleaned up after himself (as if he was never there) and the completed work is outstanding. We have recently moved from Arizona to Ohio - so we did not know any contractors. We have relied on Angie's list for all the work we've had done. We thought it was hype about going to Angie's list for good workers. We have not had a bad experience using Angie's list. All contractors are proud of their Angie's list reputation. We would use Glass Block Headquarters again and will continue to use Angie's. So far, the move to Ohio has been without a single bad experience with contractors. Jim Irvine Concord Twp., OH

Company never showed up...09/03/2013*** UPDATE, Received Phone call from Glass Block HQ today and they said they had a mix-up with address.. Received quote ($875.00) for 8 windows .. Will review quote with other companies..

Without a flaw. They went out of their way to find me the color vents I wanted. AND FAST. Tear out and installation was clean, no mess left behind.

It was a good experience, they gave me a quote that I felt was fair and showed up on time to install the windows. I ordered 2 standard windows and 4 vent windows. When the installer arrived, he said I had 3 vent windows, to which I responded "no I ordered 4." He corrected himself and I showed him which 4 windows I wanted to have the vents. When he was finished installing the windows, I only had 3 with vents. I called the main office right away and they were back at my house within 20 minutes. The mortar had to set, so they weren't able to replace the window that day, but they came out 2 days later and replaced the window with no hassle. I have to say I would recommend them, because even though there was a problem - they handled it very quickly and were very apologetic. No one's perfect, so the fact that the mistake was handled quickly and professionally was excellent.

The work went very well. Scott come in on time. He did a very good job. He was very professional, punctual and work hard. He is neat and quick. he cleaned up all the debris. The windows look great!

Everything went smoothly. One man tore out 7 basement windows and installed the glass block. The whole job was completed in 3 hours. He really knew what he was doing. These windows come with a lifetime warranty. I am a happy camper.

I thought they should've installed a window vent on all the windows, but only did it one two of them.
