Eden Finishing

I had three old chairs that matched. However, one was in reasonable shape, another was in okay shape and the third looked a mess. All three had cane seats, but only one had a seat that was usable. They were able to leave the one usable seat on the chair and then replace the other two. He explained the difference in price between having some one hand cane the chairs versus using pre-woven cane. I chose to use the pre-woven cane on the two chairs as the third chair would not be used in the same room. When the chairs came back, they were all in amazing shape! Years of blackened varnish had been removed and the satin finish revealed some beautiful wood grain and color. They all looked as if they belonged in an antique shoppe window! Had I shown anyone the chairs in their original conditions, they would have advised me to put them on the tree lawn and hope someone would take them off my hands. What a transformation! Well worth the cost of refinishing.

We are beyond pleased. Mr. Eden came to look at the furniture, and gave us a quote for the work. Their policy is to pick up the furniture when they have the time available to complete the work; they pick up the furniture on a Monday, and they return the furniture on the Friday after. The table, leaves, and credenza were picked up on 9/12; the refinished set was delivered on 9/16. When the furniture was picked up, they also took one of the chairs so as to be able to match it. When the set was returned, we were stunned to see how beautiful it was. They had not only refinished both table and credenza, but had spent hours bringing all the beautiful brass accents back to their original glory. They also repaired, perfectly, a small chip in the table. The set looks just beautiful. Mr. Eden is exceedingly knowledgeable about his craft; his sons, and other employees take such pride in their work. The entire experience exceeded our expectations.

The experience was wonderful. These guys are gentlemen, and very professional. They are very busy no doubt because fof their good work so you may need to prod a bit to get on their schedule, but it is worth it.

I called Eden Refinishing on a Wednesday morning and spoke with the owner who indicated they would be able to refinish my table and buffet, however they had approximately a 2 week backlog of clients. I indicated no problem - as I was really not in a big rush so no worries. I hung up the phone and literally within 2 hours I receive a call back from the co-owner, saying they had a cancelation and asking if he could swing by that same day and pick up the table & buffet. Eden Refinishing picked up the table & buffet that day and completed the job in about a week. My table is 18 years old and has taken the abuse of 3 kids and many family get togethers. The table looks brand new & I'm sure I will get another 18 years+. The buffet isn't as old, but the top was deeply scratched during a move 7+ years ago. They removed the scratches and returned it to it's original beauty. For under $500, I feel like I have a brand new table and buffet! Eden Refinishing did a fabulous job and I will use Eden Refinishing again and definitely will recommend them to friends.

Eden finishing did a great job at what I feel is a very fair price. My dining room table and chairs are much more solid and usable now. Very respectful and prompt when inside your home. Solid work. Only hiccup was on actual arrival and they also forgot a chair which resulted in an extra few days wait to have everything delivered back to the house. They come to your home though and pick up furniture and deliver without an additional fee so this was easy to overlook considering the lack of a delivery charge! The best part is that it is a family business and you know you are supporting local economy. Also worth noting that they dropped the price on my chairs because the were honest and said it was an easier repair job than anticipated. Lets here it for integrity!!

This was a great experience overall and I will use them again for any type of refinishing or repairing that I need.

Mr. Eden came and picked up the table and chairs when he said he would, repaired all as stated above, and returned the table and chairs in brand new condition in a timely manner. He was professional and very helpful with suggestions on what to do to repair the table. He said he might have to replace the "sliding bars" under the table but will try to repair them and save the cost. It turned out that he could repair them.

The piece was beautifully finished and looked like new. There was dome damage to the wood and to the finish and the wood damage was almost unnoticeable. I knew it was there because I looked, but a stranger would never know there was extensive damage.

I have been used them a couple of times within, a couple of years. They have always done a good job and fairly priced. They are very responsive and the quality is good. I liked their services and will use the same in future.

Eden did a fantastic job. The owner actually met me at the furniture outlet I was planning to buy the table from so that I could make sure it was a job that could be done before I bought the table. He took it to his shop and delivered it to my house 2 weeks later looking perfect!

Had a very old wooden plant stand literally in pieces, I tied up the bundle and asked Mr. Eden if there was any hope of putting the plant stand back together and then refinishing it. He made sure all of the parts were there and then gave me an estimate. Mr. Eden said it would take about a week for the work to be done. I was happily surprised when he called me 5 days later and said the plant stand was finished and we made arrangements for him to deliver it to my home. The oak wooden plant stand glowed with a new vitality. I was delighted with the finished product. I would definitely use Eden Refinishing again. They were reliable, do pick up and delivery, and the finished product was professionally done. Just the kind of business that belongs on Angie's List.

They did a wonderful job and their prices were very reasonable. They worked within the time frame and finished very quickly. They did not pick-up the items until they were ready to work on them, so their turn around time was very quick, about 10 days. The pieces turned out very beautiful!

They came out with a truck and trailer to my house. They looked over the furniture, described what they could do and gave me a price and time estimate. They finished a few days before originally promised. The furniture is now firm and not wobbly as it had been before they worked on it. The repair on the scroll work was so good I can't tell which chair had been broken. They even removed the remains of something sticky from one of the edges of the table. It required them to touch up the entire perimeter of the table to make it look uniform.

Eden Finishing did a phenomenal job. They were very prompt. They did a beautiful and professional job. The arm on one of my chairs was broken and they repaired it so well I would've never known it was broken. They did an amazing job. They called to make sure someone was home. They made every effort to be conscientious of our time which was wonderful.

As I told you above, go to Eden. Everything is do, do, do. Wonderful work, great experience.

They were terrific. They picked up the table top and brought it back according to schedule. Their workmanship was good and we were pretty happy with them. They told us what they would do and were pretty amenable to our needs. Their quote was fair. The work was finished in the time frame that we requested. The table top was returned in pristine condition like we needed. I would recommend them. They were a little late on the appointment, though.

They showed up on time for the estimate and their estimate was very fair. They completed the work on time and on budget. We will definately use them again.
