Eden Finishing

I damaged a red lacquered cabinet about seven feet high and three feet wide while moving it, and and one of the legs cracked. I found Eden on Angie's list, and they came to my house that very weekend. After looking at it, they were sure they could fix it, along with a few other nicks and such. I also needed it to be refinished because I was moving it to a new room. It took about month, but I wasn't in a hurry and I could have had it back sooner if I really wanted. I think they could have turned it around in about three weeks. They stripped it, painted it white, and gave it an antique look that I just love. My friends don't even recognize it as the same piece of furniture. I will absolutely call them for my next piece of furniture.

When I first called Eden Refinishing, I arranged for someone to come out and give me an estimate on refinishing a buffet I'd recently purchased. Because the buffet was currently sitting in the garage, I said they could come look at it at their convenience. When a couple weeks went by with no word, I called back. Apparently, it had fallen off the radar (not a problem for me, I wasn't in any hurry). They apologized profusely and came to the house that day to look at the piece. After agreeing to the estimate, they took it away and 2 weeks later I have a gorgeous buffet. They did a beautiful job. My only complaint is that it now makes the rest of my dining room furniture look shabby. Seriously, they do great work and I'd recommend them to anyone.

For the work that they do I was surprised at the price. The work was very high quality and the price was actually lower than what I was quoted. They came to my home and picked the furniture up. The job was completed in less than two weeks. Everything looks great.

I brought them in Monday morning. He quoted me a price and I picked them up on Thursday. Could not have been simpler.

I initially had some challenges getting a hold of the shop but I didn't "need" to get the work done immediately. Once we were able to connect, Eden's quickly scheduled a trip out to see the dresser. Gave me a quote on the spot which sounded good and took the dresser away. He quickly communicated that it would take him a few weeks to get to the dresser which was fine by me and I appreciated his honesty. I even went to their shop to look at the paint color that they were going to use for the piece. He picked a perfect color and I didn't change it at all! Really great experience and I would definitely use them again.

It went excellent. Price was much less than I thought. He was very prompt.

I found this company on Angie's List. They came right out and picked my dresser up. I wanted the dresser delivered to my son's home and he did that at no extra cost. I would use them again.

They come to my home to pick up the furniture. They refinish my furniture within a week. I am satisfied with their prices. I have been using them for a long time.

They did a beautiful job. Both pieces of furniture look great.

We were very pleased with the workmanship on the chairs. We had one of them repaired a couple of years ago, and Mr. Eden, Jr. did a far superior job. We would highly recommend this company.

They were very prompt in making an estimate which was very reasonable. They returned the repaired cabinet within a week.

I damaged the corner of a desk and also chipped a piece of the glass top of the desk. Richard Eden told me they would be out the following week, but showed up in 2 weeks (that really didn't matter, because the glass had to be made anyways). I wasn't at the place the desk was being repaired, but Billy called me to tell me when he was going to be there. I asked for a call after he was done to let me know how it went and how much it would cost. I never got that call. I called Billy and he told me while he was trying to fix the corner, he moved the glass and scratched the whole top of the desk. He then tried to lift the glass and ended up breaking it in half. The desktop then had to be removed from the location and taken to their shop to fix. It took them almost 2 months to do this, and if I never called them back, it probably still wouldn't be fixed. Mr. Eden tried blaming me for the scratched top, and acted like he was doing me favor by fixing it. The guy's a jerk (I'm being nice).

I found this company a bit difficult to deal with as they were quite disorganized. I had to call repeatedly to get them to come and give me an estimate. Everyone was very pleasant, however, and they were highly rated, so I gave them the job. They did the work and returned the chair very promptly - no complaints there. The refinishing work they did was serviceable -- not the highest quality finish, but acceptable. What was not acceptable was that they lost a piece of hardware from the high chair and were unable to replace it. Since the high chair was old, it took quite a bit of work on my part to make the item useful again. Eden's would tell you that they never got the hardware in the first place, but since half of it was on the chair, there would have been no reason for me to remove the other half! I think it just got lost during the refinishing process. After a complaint on my part, they did reduce the price by $25 from the original estimate.

They were very efficient-they picked up on Monday and delivered on a Friday. Mr. Eden Sr. and Jr. are both very pleasant people to work with.

Richard did a wonderful job in the timeframe he told me. The beautiful grain and tones of the wood have been restored. I love the care and expertise he showed. I would use him again.

Unbelievable service. Mr. Eden arrive within hours of my call and took my dresser the same day. They were contacted on Monday and returned the finished dresser on Friday morning. It looks like a brand new dresser. They exceeded my expectations.

Extremely well. The desk is beautiful. They delivered the desk when it was finished. It's difficult to describe the "before and after" because the "after" appearance far surpassed my expectations. I wish I had more pieces for them to refinish because the result is so outstanding.

The whole experience was fantastic! After I called, they came promptly & gave an estimate. Shortly after we called them back & said "fine", they came & picked up the table. It was returned at the time it was promised & they were very accommodating to our schedule. The quality of the work is superb. It looks like a new-old table! We can't tell the difference between the new leaf & the old ones. I wholeheartedly recommend them - terrific service, terrific workmanship, pleasant individuals to work with.

The door looks brand new! We are extremely happy with the final product. The door was picked up when planned and brought back on the scheduled day. They were very professional and do excellent work.

The matter in which they did business was excellent. I would be happy to recommend them to anybody. They personally dropped off the chairs to my house also.

This is an "old fashioned" family owned and run business. The elderly Mr. Eden (his father started the company) has his two adult children and one teenage grandson helping him with some of the work. Mr. Eden will come out to your home to give an estimate. He will tell you if it's not worth repairing or refinishing a particular piece either because of cost or the condition of that piece. The furniture will be picked up from your house. When the furniture is repaired, you are invited to the store to view your piece(s) and to choose the stain. Mr. Eden will apply the stain to your furniture so that you know exactly what it will look like when it's completed. The company takes no money up front. You pay them when the work is done to your satisfaction and delivered to your home and placed in any room you choose.

The personnel were courteous, picked up at the house, and delivered three pieces of furniture. We were invited to their shop to view the furniture and the stain and finish options. They were craftsmen in the classic and best sense of the term, all three generations.

I called and the phone got handed to a man I presume was Grandpa Eden, from what the man told me. I asked how much it would be to strip and sand a standard 80x30 interior door. He told me rudely they don't just do the hard part, they need to refinish it also and it would cost $200.00 per side. So I asked, $400.00 for the entire interior door, he said yes. I laughed, said thank you and hung up. Another company I called charges $75-$85 to strip and sand the entire door and you can do the refinishing yourself (guess they charge $325.00 for the easy part). By the way it costs $300.00 per side for exterior. Just call for other estimates if you plan on getting a bid from this company.

Eden Finishing recently completed refinishing our five piece bedroom set. They were prompt, pleasant, and courteous, and the set looks better today than it did when we purchased it 35 years ago. We are extremely pleased and satisfied with their work and would definitely use them again. We also wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to family and friends.

These men are real artisans. They brought two pieces of furniture I own to life. I was amazed at the results and am looking forward to working with them to restore some other pieces. They also were very timely and reasonably priced.
