Eden Finishing

Work done was excellent, as promised, on time at the price quoted. The best place in the area to get this type of work done.

We obtained an estimate from Eden in March and also obtained a competitive estimate (which was about $100 higher). We decided to used Eden in May. The work was scheduled for the week of June 7th. Eden picked up the table and chairs on Monday, June 7th, and returned them on Friday, June 11th. The table and chairs looked 100% better than before the work was done, the chair backs had been tightened up, and the drop leaves at the ends of the table no longer drooped. Upon delivery of the refinished table, there was a small mark on one leaf of the table, which was promptly buffed out. (The owners of Eden are a father and son. The son picked up the furniture and delivered it back to us. The son buffed out the mark on the leaf.) Later that day, when my wife saw the table and chairs, she was immediately unhappy about what she regarded as a high gloss finish. After we had spent some time looking at the table, we concluded that the two center leaves, which can be removed from the table, seemed to have a shinier finish than the rest of the top of the table. One of the leaves also had some droplets of dried "overspray" from the refinishing process. I called Eden, and the son came out the next day to look at the table. He agreed to try to correct the issues by refinishing the table top. This was done within about a week and a half by picking up the table in the morning and delivering it back late in the afternoon of the same day. We were satisfied with the finished work. We would use Eden again. Although we were disappointed about having to have the table top done again after the initial refinishing, Eden offered to do this after hearing our concern and inspecting the table and without any argument or dispute. We would, however, be more careful about communicating our particular expectations. For example, my wife strongly dislikes gloss finishes on furniture. At the time of the estimate, we indicated that we did not want a high gloss finish, but this requirement did not get written into the estimate. When the table and chairs were picked up for refinishing about 2-1/2 months after the estimate, my wife's expectations regarding the glossiness of the finish were not emphasized. More emphasis on this particular expectation might have been helpful.

They were willing to come to my home to pick up the chair, and they came when it was convenient for me. They were prompt, and courteous. They charged me under 50 for everything. They brought the chair back in 2 days and it is in very good condition.

He told me he would call me back when he had more workers. He never did call me back.

They did a beautiful job and much more than I expected they could do. Another provider I took it to ruined the table, but Eden fixed it.

They came and picked up our old front door, refinished it using one stain to match the exterior of our home and a different stain to match the interior, and returned the door to us. They made it all very easy and did a really nice refinishing job on a difficult, detailed wood door.

I needed an estimate to make the claim to UPS. I drove to Eden Refininishing with the chair. Their estimate was so reasonable and the estimated length of time to repair was quick so I left the chair and picked it up about a week later.

The table was damaged during a move and I found Eden on Angie's List. They are a small firm and well regarded in this area. They were responsive and came and picked up the pieces right way. Because the job was relatively small they were able to fit it in and they completed the work in a week. They matched the existing stain very well and the set looks as good as new.

At first we gave them only two pieces of furniture. When we saw the quality of their workmanship, we gave them several more. William was very professional. Arrived on time. Delivered furniture on time. Very careful with the furniture. We would not hesitate to use them again.

My house is only 12 years old. It was a fairly easy job and he did it satisfactorily. He is my go-to guy. Dave is the gentleman I call when I have something to do. He is very honest and will tell me if he can't do it. He just finished a bathroom upstairs. He is very good and charges me by the hour plus materials. He is a neat, neat guy to work with. He charges union rates plus the cost of materials and I like that. He is as honest as the day is long. He is a one-person show and if he is working another job, he will finish it before coming to you. He does come when he says he will. I will absolutely continue to use him.

There was no further contact. I think the job was either too small or maybe my contact information was lost.

Service and quality were excellent. Mr. Eden came by the house and offered a quote. The vanity was picked up in a few days and completed a few days later. He delivered it to my house. The vanity was my grandmother's and it was brought back to life! It looks brand new and exactly as I remembered it as a child. It brought warm feelings. I will clearly use Mr. Eden again!

It was fast, painless and inexpensive.

He was supposed to refinish the front door and came out twice, but, was unable to find the house. First, he accused me for having a wrong street number and the second time he came out and actually left an estimate at the wrong house. It was a house about three or four houses away with the permutation of my digits which was amazing. When I called him back, he swore that he has left the estimate right on my door and it was a white door wherein my door is not white. I said I have a red door, you didn't leave it on our door, in fact, I saw it three houses down. So, it took him two visits to come out, never gave me the estimate and I didn't follow up with him too. I would never use them again and would not recommend them to anyone. It is unfortunate because the person who was doing the customer relations is the father of the guy who owns the business. I would suggest that his father should no longer be the customer service person because he is loosing business.

The burnt color was beautiful. He picked up the furniture and helped in deciding on the color which was good. However, at the time of delivery I paid him in full and within 24 hours I realized the furniture was sprayed and brought immediately to my home. The fumes were horrific for two months. The finish was not sprayed evenly and a film surfaces on some of the pieces that can be wiped off. Overall, it is because of this that I am not sure if I would use their service again. The father is very amiable and customer oriented, but the son can be very hasty and rude. I have not given him the courtesy of the complaint to this point.

They did a wonderful job. His son came out and was extremely helpful. His prices were good.

Thye work was very good. They did it in quick time.

They were excellent. I just had to drop the chairs to them but they delivered it back to me for free. The quality of work done was excellent. They were very knowledgeable and patient. They were very friendly and helpful.

Turnover time was about a week. Made an extra trip to Eden Finishing between drop off and pick up -- I took a cabinet door off and brought it to them to match the color and finish. By then all the paint had been stripped from the four cupboard doors, so they were able to refinish one surface to show me how they would all match up. That trip didn't take long, perhaps 20 minutes.

They were very friendly, got things done on a timely bases,and I was very pleased with them.

I delivered the pieces of furniture to their shop. I was given a quote and estimated time of the jobs being done. The work was done quicker than the original time given. These folks were highly professional. They did exactly what they said they were going to do. Their price was very reasonable. The value was excellent!
