In my opinion, this company goes through the motions of cleaning your duct work thoroughly through lots of smoke and mirrors. I would not recommend using Teasdale for duct cleaning.
Description of Work: After having Teasdale come into my home to clean air ducts, I was pretty upset with the service I received. I was going to leave a D or F grade for them except for the fact that they did give me a full refund of the charges. The main factors regarding my opinion of this company are these: Teasdale boasts of using "multiple cleaning tools" to remove all the debris in air ducts, including a tool which has multiple "legs" to "beat" the stuck on debris off the sides of the ducts. The only tool used at my home was the standard attachment that blows air through the duct work. When the men began removing the air duct vent covers, I mentioned that I would like to wash them quickly while they were off to remove "stuck on dirt and dust". I was told that wasn't necessary because the vent covers would be "cleaned" by Teasdale. Not true! During the vent cover removal, there was dust that had fallen on the floor (an expected thing to have happen), and as the guys moved from vent to vent, I started to vacuum the floor of the first vent cover they had removed. I was told that I shouldn't do that because it was... "their job"... and they would vacuum everything when they were finished. Fact if though, they never even brought a vacuum into my home! As they were finishing up and working on the last vent in the living area of my home, I asked them if they were "sure" that duct was clean because when the blower was taken out, dust was still falling on the floor. The employee acted upset that I asked, and informed me that he had been doing this job a long time and knew what he was doing. He reluctantly inserted the blower back into the duct and made a point to tell me.... "See, it's clean!" In the end, when all the work was completed, Teasdale employees didn't vacuum any of the messes they had made, and in the furnace room, there was a very large amount of dust they had blown out from around the furnace (enough to overfill a standard dust pan and then some!) which they just left there and never bothered to clean up. I was rather disappointed to find that the whole process seemed lame and rushed. I wasn't convinced by any stretch of the imagination that my duct work was actually "clean", but rather dirt and dust just blown from one area to another. I mentioned one vent cover in the basement that had not been opened, but was told that they already got it. I knew it hadn't been opened since there were dust bunnies on the outside of it and because the screws had been painted shut and it was obvious the paint hadn't been disturbed. Even though I mentioned it several times, my concerns were disregarded. At the end of the process, I was shown the inside of the container, which was supposedly everything removed from my ducts. The only thing in it besides dirt and dust was an old rolled up cigarette soft pack probably from the 80's, which, when I told the employee I wanted to keep to show my husband, he was reluctant to give it to me. It made me wonder if it was planted there, although I will never know. It just seems strange to me that there were no other "objects" found in the ducts besides the cigarette pack since I know for a fact that a few things have fallen into my duct work over the years. When the men left the house I took a damp cloth and inserted it into several ducts just to see for myself how clean they were. To my dismay, I found a lot of dust balls, pieces of carpet fibers, a couple of nails, lots of small stones, and several pieces of drywall chips right inside the duct floor. Most every duct I checked had debris in it. I immediately took pictures and sent them to Teasdale via email. I quickly received a phone call and was asked to have the team come back and re-do the job. I declined this offer because I feel that I paid good money to have the job done right the first time, and didn't want to be inconvenienced once again for 2 hours for a job that should have been done properly from the start. Teasdale agreed to give me a full refund, but as it worked out, the refund never came within a reasonable amount of time and I had to call them to find out what happened. Nobody seemed to know about the refund, and I was told that they didn't have any record of it. In the end, it was taken care of, but it was more aggravation to have to call them several times to get it done.
