Description of Work: I hate to not praise these guys to high heaven. I last used them in August of 2007, however, and so I doubt what I have to say is of any interest. However, they replaced my knob and tube wiring so that my house now meets code, and it didn't break the bank. Essentially, they focused on what was important in the implementation, and quoted to the important issues. Unique among the project bidders, I must say. I honestly cannot praise them highly enough.

Description of Work: Worked very hard replacing light fixtures and installing ceiling lights in an old apt with very old, deteroriating wiring.

Description of Work: Cast iron pipes had broken behind kitchen, bedroom and bathroom walls. Osterwisch removed the old pipes and broken waterlines and installed new ones. Two rusted water heaters and toilets were also replaced. Because the water leak caused considerable damage, they were great working with me by returning a few months later to finish the contract work. The plumbers were timely and professional. | |

Description of Work: This was the second company we contacted. No one ever called us back. Would NOT recommend them for anything!

Description of Work: Incredible experience. Mr Osterwich was a godsend. I was installing a window air conditioner on the third floor and fully expected a complicated, expensive project, running an electrical line from the basement of a very old house to the third floor. Wrong. Mr Osterwich tested the existing circuits around the house and ensured that the air conditioner could safely run on what was already there, since actually there was nothing else on this third floor circuit. Whew! What a relief! A less scrupulous electrician could have convinced me to put in a new circuit line and it would have been very, very expensive since my old house doesn't lend itself to this type of project.

Description of Work: A RECENTLY INSTALLED NEW BATHROOM FIXTURE CAME OUT OF THE MOLLEYS THAT CAME WITH IT, AND WAS HANGING CLOSE TO THE MIRROR. I CALLED OSTERWISCH AND THEY SENT OUT GREG WITHIN A FEW HOURS. HE ASSESSED THE SITUATION IMMEDIATELY AND SAID THE MOLLEYS WERE WRONG. HE BROUGHT HEAVY DUTY ONES IN, FIXED THE UNIT, AND CHECKED THE ONE IN ANOTHER BATHROOM, AND CHECKED AN OVERHEATED PLUG ON A BROILER AND SUGGESTED I GET RID OF IT, AND THAT SOLVED THE PROBLEM. HE WAS QUICK, EFFICIENT, AND VERY KNOWLEDGEABLE.

Description of Work: IT TOOK FOREVER TO GET AN ESTIMATE, AND THEY NEVER PERFORMED THE WORK AFTER MAKING TWO APPOINTMENTS TO DO SO. I WOULD NOT BOTHER WASTING MY TIME WITH THEM AGAIN.
