Everything went well. Davey has done a lot of work for me in the past and continues t provide my lawn service and upkeep on his previous landscaping work. We had discussed possibly doing more work on my back hill last in the past and he called me to let me know that he noticed the overgrowth when he came for maintenance appointment and described how he could remedy the problems and that it would cost about $700.00. I agreed to the work and he did a very nice job. I was very pleased with it.

It was a really good experience. He drew out a nice plan, and brought it to the house. We talked about it, and they did exactly what we wanted. They did a little on the other side of the steps, and the walking stones that go all the way back to the water. They planted 12 plants, and built a creek border with crushed limestone foundation. They prepped the landscape bed on the southside of the house. Considering all the rain, they did wonderfully. It was exceptional.

The project was professional from the begining. We met with Davey in December for a Spring start date. He was prompt with an estimate for the entire job broken down into the three separate steps. When the weather was accommodating Davey's crew was there to start the project. Davey and his crew were always prompt, courteous, and professional. If it looked like the weather would delay any portion of the project, we ere always informed the previous day. The project looks great with the new curbing, grass now sprouting in an area that was nothing but a muddy mess and drainage that is improved with all the house runoff going into dry wells. Davey will return this fall to continue the lawn rehab and we will probably discuss our next project. When looking for someone to perform services at my home I want someone I can trust. I feel I have found the right man for my jobs. When I mistakenly overpaid the final bill, The overage was returned the next day. Trustful, does great work, and competitive rates. I could not have asked for more and will surely use Davey in the future.

Given the number of beds, the extreme weed proliferation and the mulch required, this was an all-day job for 3 experienced men. They did an outstanding job of first clearing the beds prior to putting down the mulch. I very much appreciate the care that they took to ensure that only weeds were pulled, and not the plants that I've worked hard to grow over the last few years...sometimes when the weeds are huge, it's hard to tell where the plants are, but they did a fantastic job! I also appreciate how quickly Davey worked us into his very busy schedule, and his follow-up at the end of the day to ensure our satisfaction with the completed work.

Davey helped us to come up with a plan for water drainage issues in our yard and took the time to answer our questions and address our concerns. They worked very quickly to install a French drain and regrade the yard taking care using a laser level to make sure water would drain away from the house. They installed a beautiful stone paver patio that will last many years. They planted grass seed and came back a few weeks later to replant any bare spots. We are very happy with the quality of work performed by Davey's company.

It started out great but ended up fizzling. Updated 4/29/2013 We have met and he has given me an estimate. Everything has worked out. I am satisfied with the response.

The job went very well. This was the first shelter of this type they had installed. I was very pleased with the way they thought through the challenges of the undertaking. Through a lot of hard work and ingenuity Davey and his team got eveything done to all the spcifications of the building inspector. Davey planned everything from researching the shelter--picking up the shelter and installing it. I would recommend this company highly. That's why I have kept using them and have some other possible projects planned for the future. I spent between $7,000 to $9,000 for everything all together. I do not remember the specific amount since I had several things done.

First contact, initial meeting & proposal review went well and quickly. Responses always within 24 hours. Admitting that I have extremely high expectations - of myself and any contractor I'd ever hire to perform work for me or on my behalf - and that I asked for a rather high level of customization and an ad-hoc approach, I remain pleased with the outcome of the job. Dave's crew was meticulous in their stone work and Dave demonstrated several times throughout the project that he listened to what I wanted and filed it away for wherever & whenever he could work it into the customization. Importantly, he voiced opposing opinions when what I thought I wanted conflicted with what I really wanted, for example, asking for a troublesome plant when I insisted I needed as close to maintenance-free as possible. At our first meeting I asked him for one guarantee: to treat my property and the project like he'd treat his own, with no less focus on quality, care or finishing touches. He & his crew did exactly that. They'll be returning in the spring for some additional projects.

It was a good experience. Davey and team were punctual, polite, and professional. They completed all of the work within a week's time. Shortly after I contacted Davey we made an appointment to meet, where we started brainstorming ideas to refresh my yard. Shortly after, I'd contracted the work Davey's team began work. Each evening I was home Davey would walk me around the yard explaining to me what had been done that day, and what would be done the next day. After less than a week I have a beautiful yard and am looking forward to the spring to see my plants bloom!

This landscaping job was a great experience. When Dave initially came out, I gave him an overview of what I wanted done. Within a short amount of time, he provided a written estimate. We looked over the estimate, some changes were made in work to be performed, and a new estimate provided with pictures of arbors and gates, and a brochure of plant selections. I had many things going on at the time so we set a date in the future to decide on a start date. This worked well for both of us. Once the start date was selected, the work started and continued at a steady pace until completed. We met a couple times and communicated by phone as things progressed. At one point, we seemed to stray in our visions. We talked, things were adjusted, and everything came out exactly how I wanted. Dave offered some good suggestions on some things and was happy with some of my suggestions also. It was a great experience and will definitely hire this company again for some other work we've already discussed. Everyone (Dave, Dave's Dad, and Cody) was very friendly and willing to make changes to ensure I was happy with the outcome.

I contacted Davey Landscaping and he returned my call the same day. He came the next day to measure and offer suggestions on ways to fix our problems. He was very pleasant and up-beat. He suggested we turn the canyon in the back yard into a dry-creek using creek rock. We couldnt stop the flow of water from the neighbors yard, but we could make the most of a bad situation by using rock to keep the rest of the yard from washing away. Davey returned within 2 days with an estimate and a plan for fixing our yard. We were told that work would begin in 3 weeks. The work did begin in 3 weeks. The jobs took 2 days and the workers were very friendly and hard working. My front yard has been re-seeded and is growing very well. The landscaping was pruned and replaced as needed. The area was mulched and trimmed and now looks great. The back yard dry creek is beautiful and functional and the kids can play in the back yard again. Davey and his crew did a great job. They offered great suggestions but also listened to me.

Overall, contacting Davey's was excellent. The company responded immediately, and service completetion could be started at this same time. Please see the above report on the awesome customer service and willingness to individualize service for the project completion. Even though the company was not hired, the superb customer service was reported for others to reference.

Called in inquire about landscaping and small retaining wall replacement. Davey was here to review to job in two days and I had my estimate two days later. Replaced 90% of existing front landscaping, put in all new landscaping in back yard and replaced a small retaining wall in the rear yard. I've had problems in the past keeping mulch in the front area due to the slope. Davey suggested pine mulch which I had never used before and it works great. He also installed concrete edging to keep everything in place. The newly landscaped are in the back looks wonderful. I can't wait for spring when everything blossoms. Love the new retaining wall. I went from broken cinder block to a stacked stone wall. It looks 100% better. I would recommend Davey to anyone who asks.

Davey came to meet me at my home to give me an estimate on a paver pathway. It took him a few days to call me back (I should have been weary then) and respond to my request for an estimate. When he finally came out to give me an estimate, the price was right, he was polite, he made a good impression, and said that the would have a written proposal right over to me in the next few days. Beware, this contractor is misleading, unreliable, dishonest, and disappointing. I left him several messages over the next few weeks (after not receiving his proposal) asking when we could get the job scheduled and get it done (based on the price he quoted me verbally). He wouldn't answer any of my phone calls until I called from a different phone number and then he said he would call me back when he had his calender in front of him. After him not calling me back again, I left him yet another message saying to please let me know if he was simply not interested so that I could find someone else to do the job. Six weeks after meeting Davey for an estimate, no call backs, no proposal, we finally did the job ourselves. Save yourself the time, frustration, and disappointment by asking someone else to do the landscaping job you need done.

He was very nice to work with and gave a lot of ideas for the job. He was very professional and was well prepared for the estimate. He advised the plan and quoted a reasonable price. I did not go ahead with the services due to other family circumstances. I liked his services and will contact him in future.

I have used Davey 3 times now. He seems very busy and therefore takes a long time to return calls and get the work done. For instance, he gave me a bid in May (which, to be honest, it took me a couple of weeks to respond to) but did not finish the job until later July. By that time, my weeds were a bit out of control. Trees I have had him plant have thrived, and he is coming back to plant some more in the fall. So other than the communications issues, once he does arrive, he does a good job.

I cannot say enough about this company. Their work was high quality, very reasonably priced and everyone was a true pleasure to work with. They called with updates regularly and arrived when they said they would be here. If you need anything done in your yard, you should contact this company, you will not be disappointed. They are by far the best company I have ever dealt with and I fully intend to have them complete other work I need done in other parts of my yard.

Davey and his team were very professional and pleasant. The job was a large one as my yard is big, so it took one more day than he expected. I then contracted for a few more jobs because I liked the work that he did. I would hire again.

They did a good job. They have to come back and replace some of the bushes because it has been so hot that some of them have died. They are waiting until the fall. The area that they re-landscaped looks very nice.

Overall the job went pretty well. They worked everything out, but the only negative is when they say they will show up, they don't. Several times they did not show up when they said they were going to.

I can't say enough about Dave and his father. They are the best. Customer service oriented -- listened to my ideas and then gave me better ideas!! They were very careful, courteous at all times, always called if there was a delay in service. Most hard working guys I've ever seen! I had other contractors working and there was overlap which they handled with patience and grace. I also live in a very urban area and it wasn't an easy feat to get their equipment where it needed to go; they never complained and always had a great attitude. Would even be sure my driveway was clear of equipment when I came home from work!!! The hard-scaping work they did (slate deck and patio) looks beautiful. I will be using them again to do side and front yard landscaping! Have no trouble recommending them to everyone I know.

LIKE I SAID BEFORE HERE I WAS STUCK WITH THIS BIG HOLE, AND THEY CAME OUT AND GAVE ME AN ESTIMATE, WITHIN A WEEK THEY STARTED THE WORK HAULING LARGE BOULDERS, TAKING 3 TO 4 GUYS TO CARRY AND PUT IN A WHEELBARREL , I WAS SO IMPRESSED BECAUSE I THOUGHT THEY MIGHT MESS UP MY YARD USING HEAVY MACHINERY TO GET THEM TO THE BACK YARD. THEY COMPLETED THE WORK WITHIN 2 DAYS AND I NOW HAVE A BEAUTIFUL TROPICAL AREA WHERE I CAN RELAX AND LISTEN TO THE SOUND OF A WATERFALL,WATCH THE FISH AND OH I ALMOST FORGOT, THEY EVEN BROUGHT POND PLANTS, ITS WONDERFUL,MY NEIGHBORS LOVE IT, I THINK THEY FEEL ITS A NEW GATHERING PLACE NOW. WHO NEEDS TO GO ON VACATION WHEN YOU HAVE PARADISE IN YOUR OWN BACK YARD. I KNOW ANGIES LIST HAS A LOT OF GREAT LANDSCAPERS, BUT THEY ARE THE BEST OF THE BEST!!!!!!!

They are fantastic and I just love them. They are a small family and are very nice people. They know their business and are customer friendly. Their price is reasonable. The quality of work is excellent. They have only just started the job and will be working on it for a couple of weeks.

The landscape designer, Patricia, was a pleasure to work with from start to finish. The work was reasonably priced ($40/hour) compared to other companies that I called, which estimated costs as high as $600 for even the most basic design. Patricia had some great suggestions for the back yard, including how to make use of the landscaping that was already there, and it turned out that with a little transplanting and trimming there was no need to go out and buy a lot of expensive materials. Ideas for landscaping on a budget were much appreciated! Following the initial meeting, Patricia prepared an extensive written report to summarize her suggestions, which was also very helpful. Overall it was a very positive experience.
