Davey / Eagle Creek provided us with landscape plans for our yard. He did a nice job of providing us with the types of plants/trees that we requested and was very knowledgeable in his field. We did have difficulty connecting (Eagle Creek has a full plate, and we have busy lives as well), and ultimately decided to wait to have the work done (or we'll do the work ourselves).

To begin with every phone call made to this person was never returned. We bought the item on May 4 and they finally showed up on July 6 after many phone calls that weren't returned and emails. We were put off and put off over and over again. When they did show up my husband was home and said that there were 3 young kids who showed up to do the work and they did work hard but the outcome isn't anything like what was promised when Davey originally came out to look at what we had. I am extremely disappointed with this company and would never do business with them again. This is the first time that I have used someone from Angie's list that I have been totally dissatisfied with.

We are waiting for clean up to be completed.

We called Eagle Creek last fall to talk about replacing our patio this spring. We were provided with our options and an estimate. Davey was willing to work with us by itemizing a list of projects we were interested in so that we could prioritize what we could afford now and what we would put off for next year. One thing we asked him to do was to inspect an area around our foundation that was leaking. He provided two options that would address the issue, and was honest about the time frame in which he could provide either service. Due to the company's commitments at that time, he acknowledged that we might need the repair sooner than he could get to it. We really appreciated that honesty. He could have strung us along just to get our business but he was taking our best interest into consideration. Back to the patio. Davey called us late winter with an estimated date to start on our patio work. The date was earlier than we had anticipated and we were very pleased! Davey and his staff were flexible in that they accommodated last-minute changes per our request. They were all very pleasant about it and Davey made a point to let us know BEFORE the work was done that there would be an additional charge. While we expected an additional charge because we were expanding the square footage from our original plan, we appreciated that he communicated that to us before the fact rather than after. The only issue I had is that it seemed as if we played phone tag ALL the time, which led to some minor confusion at times. However, nothing was unresolvable and I understand that it is not always easy to communicate when you are working in the field for the better part of the day.

The provider stated he would contact us in the spring and guaranteed the plants. I have had no contact with the provider in the new year. In previous jobs the provider also pushed hard for an A rating on Angie's List and I did grade him an A before. His most recent service would not qualify for the same grade at all. Update 4/29/15: He responded to this negative review and did everything I requested and more!

They are always on time and Dave is available when I call to ask him question. They do a great job. I've been using them for several years. They're extremely reliable.

My husband and I could not be more impressed with the quality of work and craftsmanship that went in to our yard. When we searched Angie's list for a landscaper Eagle Creek Landscape and Design was top on the list. We contacted them and set up a meeting for someone to come over and quote us to re-landscape our front and back yard as well as put in a patio for us. The owner of the company, Davey, came over and listened to what we wanted and gave us his opinion. He seemed very professional and experienced and we loved his vision for the project so we went with him. When they came over to do the job the employees were just as professional and courteous and did the whole project on time and just like we envisioned. The patio looks great and we have used it every weekend since they finished it. We love the look and feel of our new yard. We are so pleased that we went with Eagle Creek Landscape and Design. We have already recommended them to a friend and we are saving their number in case we would ever need anything else for our yard in the future.

I called 3 times to request a bid before I was able to schedule a time for him to come out. On the day of the appointment, he never showed up, after I had adjusted my schedule to accommodate him. He left a voicemail 3 hours after our appointment. I returned his call but have not heard back as of today.

We made an appointment for Tuesday, which is my off day, between nine and 10 o'clock in the morning. At approximately 11 AM I called Dave and left a message on his voicemail. Later in the afternoon, since I hadn't received a response, I called him. He said that he had the appointment listed for Wednesday. I told him I would not be able to make it in the morning since I was working and that it would have to be in the afternoon. We made an appointment for Wednesday between five and 5:30 PM. At approximately 6:20 PM I called Dave and received his voicemail. He did not call to say that he would be late or to excuse his absence. I was willing to give him a second chance but not a third. The day after the last missed appointment, Davey called the following morning to explain his absence. He stated that his best friend had collapsed from an apparent heart attack and was hospitalized in intensive care. He immediately left work and went directly to the hospital. His mother/bookkeeper was supposed to call and cancel his appointments. I believe his account of what occurred and allowed him another appointment which he promptly kept. He was very nice, professional, and knowledgeable. He will be bringing me an estimate next week. I changed his overall grade, at this point, from an "F" to a "D" and changed all other grades to N/A. I will further update my review as our interaction proceeds.

Davey and his crew were very professional and worked very hard to be punctual. I particularly liked that after designing our front landscaping, Davey was open to feedback and expected some involvement in the decision making at the time of installation to assure that everything was being done to our satisfaction. We have received compliments from our neighbors all summer on how great the new landscaping looks. We were also pleased with the new paver patio installed in the back, which perfectly complimented our new deck.

The team completed the task very quickly, yet thoroughly and highly professionally. They have actually done some extra work as a bonus. We have also received a clear instruction on the upkeep of our new plants. I would wholeheartedly recommend the company to anyone interested in landscape improvement.

not completed at this time. As stated above job scheduled to start on 06/19./14. Job was completed on July 3, 2014. The retainer wall and steps are GREAT. The privacy fence is not so great. The railings run into of the fence posts and not behind the posts. Just make sure I researched how to build a privacy fence on the internet and found out the railings should run behind the posts and the corner posts are secured with screws. They (the railings) are secured with nails. This construction is not secure. They(Eagle Creek) but two railings and not three. . I called Davey several times and he finally came out on July 10, 2014. We discussed this issue and he said he would discuss the issue with his father. I had to call Davy again today (7/15/14 ) to get a resolution and he said " the fence is secure and would not blow down." This fence cost $2400.00 per their estimate and it does not meet the expected results. I am currently waiting for Eagle Creek to get back to me so we can resolve this issue before it escalates. I want to clear up something I wrote in sentence six of the first section. Davey did say they would use the old fence post but Eagle Creek did not use the old fence post, they installed new fence posts. They did use my nature stones to make the platforms for the steps leading to the fence/patio area and to the second level which leads to the back entre door to my garage. We had a meeting today and per our conversation, 1.They will add a third railing to the fence and secure the railings to the fence posts with screws. 2. secure the pickets to the new railing with nails 3. Countersink or remove all visible nails 4. Put new sod in the areas damage by their equipment. and complete other misc. items discussed. The quality rating for the retainer wall and steps is A+ To be continued:

They went way out of their way to make sure we were happy. They brought new dirt that wasn't even part of the job. They left mulch in areas that weren't part of the job, and went ahead and planted some plants in the front as well as the back, even though they were only designing for the front yard. They are awesome. They also power washed the driveway to ensure they didn't leave any mulch stains. This company is phenomenal.

He is great to work with and would highly recommend him. He will work with you and go out of his way to ensure that everything is perfect. Very professional final finish and I couldn't be more happy. I turned it all over to him and let him come up with an easy to maintain design. It was totally worth it and increase the curb appeal tremendously!

Davey is very easy to work with and did a great job. Our front yard has these ugly dying bushes by the porch and the 2 trees in the front had exposed roots that we needed to cover up. Davey met with us and gave us several options- we went with the low maintenance. Work was done in one day and our neighbors commented how great is looked. We had some ferns that didn't survive the winter- and since it was within the 1 year guarantee, Davey came out yesterday and replaced them. He also spent time showing me how to prune the various plants. Now we are having Davey look at the back yard- we have a problem with standing water that we need fixed. I highly recommend Eagle Creek

The initial Landscaping project involved many of his family members and several helpers. His family was amazing from the landscape drawings provided, to communication & execution. Davey is constantly checking if every thing is meeting our expectations. The majority (85%) of times he has. Over the years, Davey, in his effort to please, occasionally has over committed. It has never been a serious problem and in the past several years he has become much more focused on realistic commitments. I highly recommend Eagle Creek Landscaping & Design LLC. in back yard. Amazing results, a great deal of earth had to be removed to accomplish. Davey came up with the solution and concept, provided drawings and elevations with the quote. He team came when scheduled and worked to complete on time. I can't say enough good things about Davey's entire team. His workers were very courteous and worked very hard. We have two other major projects we want Davey to tackle for us in the spring!! Use him for your landscaping needs!!

Ongoing but Davey is exceptionally responsive and I expect the entire project to go well. He clearly demonstrates his expertise and ability to handle difficult jobs.

Davey was very responsive, professional, and punctual. He and his staff were very thorough and patient in removing our old retaining wall and made sure everything was to our liking when he was finished. Highly recommended!

They did an excellent job. They were very professional, efficient, prompt and courteous. I have no complaints at all with them. The work they did was very beautiful. It's so good, that he's coming back out next week! He will be my landscaper as long as I live in this house!

The guy got lost on his way and was over 30 min late. Seemed nice and knowledgable--asked good questions. Said he'd follow up in a week with a quote and that was the last I heard from them. They never sent a quote, so I never used them. Perhaps they were too busy, but the lack of response is really poor form in my book.
