I needed the concrete steps in my front porch and front walkway repaired, in order to get my house ready to put on the market. I called Woody, and he came out the next Saturday to give me an estimate. He was able to fit me in within a few weeks, and he did a great job - at half the price of other estimates! He was professional and prompt - highly recommended!

Grover came within hours of my calling to give me an estimate. He was professional and quick. After I called to say I would like him to do the work, he called me when he said he would to set up the work for the following week. Grover arrived when he said he would and worked efficiently to get the job done. He communicated what he was doing and answered the questions I had. He let me know when he was leaving for lunch, and explained everything he had done when he was finished. I called two other companies for estimates. One was unavailable for a week to give an estimate (Grover was finishing the job at the time the other company was supposed to come for an estimate!) and the other was almost triple the cost! Even before I got the second estimate emailed to me, I called Woody Construction to schedule the work. I was comfortable with Grover, especially since he was the one who would be doing the work (and I saw in other reviews that he is a 3rd generation mason). I felt Grover was honest in his estimate - he told me what needed to be done vs. what were just "nuisance cracks" that would just come back again (and also suggested a way to deal with these). He went above and beyond and was very fair in his price. I would not hesitate to use Woody Construction again, and plan to recommend him to a friend who needs extensive work done on her front step. I would recommend him to anyone else who has need of his services as well! I wish all home repair experiences were this easy and straightforward!

Very professional, prompt, friendly service. They did a quick 1/2 day turnaround on my retaining wall, which was built in the 1920's and looks great!

Mr Woody came out and gave us an estimate that was very reasonable but told us he wouldn't be able to get to it until the following month. He then called us a week later and said he had an opening for that friday and would it be ok to do it then. So we got the work done a month earlier than he was going to be able to. They arrived at exactly 0900 and were done by 1700.

Mr. Woody was nice, down-to-earth, and very responsive. He quoted me a fair price and came out much sooner than the half dozen other people I called said they could. The job was done quickly and looks good!! I was very pleased!

Just called this vendor for an estimate for pouring a concrete walkway and they told me that they don't do new concrete work, only repairs and restoration.

We had to have cement replaced on the side of our house where the steel beams were. He came out to give an estimate and he saw a crack in another area. He fixed both area's! He paired both of them together, wetted the cement again, he patched a crack in my patio, patched a crack in my steps going down to the patio, he climbed up on the ladder and removed the sutt from our gutters. He was excellent!!!!

He does marvelous work. He is a third generation mason. Other contractors have commented on his work saying they wouldn't even be able to do that. He brought the steps to code while having to work over an existing concrete sidewalk. I would recommend him to anyone.

I called Mr. Woody after reading about his company on Angie's List. He was immediately responsive to my call, and didn't mind that it was repair work vs. new concrete pouring. We met first to go over the jobs and Mr. Woody had good suggestions for making the needed repairs. He couldn't help us with "street sidewalks" because he doesn't carry a permit for city jobs, so that was disappointing, but he had a suggestion for getting that work completed as well. He was very prompt in providing an estimate, which we thought was extremely reasonable considering the scope and diverse locations of the work. Mr. Woody communicated his available work dates in a timely way, and completed the work on time. I am very satisfied with the finished look of the repairs. I will definitely contact Mr. Woody for future concrete work.

Everything OK, but his mannerism was a bit gruff for my liking. Got the impression he didn't want to be bothered with this small of a job. I also wish he had done some type of finish coat over the full surface of the porch deck. The different coloration of the repaired areas are VERY obvious. I would think something could have been done to mediate this.

It went very well, so far it looks pretty good. He is a very conscientious fellow.

Grover was able to stop over for an estimate a day after I called. He was prompt, knowledgeable, professional and courteous, and scheduled the job for about a week later. He did an excellent job! I felt his price was very reasonable, and will contact him again for any other concrete/masonry/stucco work that we need done!

Grover provided a very reasonable quote for a grab-bag of small jobs. The work was scheduled and completed very quickly. The work appears to have been done very well.

Woody and friend came promptly, gave a precise estimate and showed up on time for work. They did an excellent job repairing and sealing the slate walkway. It looks better than new. We were so pleased with the work that we asked for and received a bid for the rest of the work in back. It was completed in two days with unbelievable results. He noticed several things that we did not anticipate and in one instance repaired something extra at no cost. Great job Woody.

He came out and gave me an estimate. Started work withing a week of calling him back to say I wanted him to do the work. Finished in a week. Excellent work at a more than fair price. He thought he would need to replace about 100 bricks. It turned out to be a lot more than that. He did it for the quoted price. A very nice individual to work with! I am very pleased.

He originally came out and gave a quote on this tuckpointing and some other work. He gave me a price on the spot so I didn't have to wait for him to get back to me. He was very knowledgeable and patient with my questions. I called him the following week and he scheduled the work. I only had him do the tuckpointing on side of house as I was trying to watch my dollars. There was no pressure to do more than I told him. He came on schedule and was very thorough. His work was neat and he did more tuckpointing than originally discussed and didn't charge more. I would definitely use him again and would highly recommend him.

It went well. He was helpful and he even cleaned a drain for me.

Grover did an excellent job - he is very professional, courteous, and punctual. He arrived on time, partially completed the work (had to let the concrete set before completing the job) - let me know he would return in the afternoon to complete the job (which he did). His price was very reasonable and results even better than I expected. Very Highly Recommended!
