Stack Heating & Cooling

Our furnace stopped heating our home yesterday. At about 8AM this morning I called Stack and told them about our problem. The lady on the phone told us that we could expect a technician between 8 and 10AM. He arrived about 8:30, introduced himself, put bags on his shoes and went to work. He quickly found the problem--faulty ignition circuit board--replaced it and did a little preventative maintenance on the system. By 9:00 he had the furnace heating our home again. The price for the new board was $270 and the labor was $80. I think $80 for his work was completely reasonable. I am pleased with the service and would use this company again.

In their doing so successfully, they saved us from having to replace a very, very old boiler. For a $100 investment we saved a $10,000 investment. I would hire them again, we use them routinely.

We had been using another provider and when we called, they kept putting us off. When we called Stack, they came and once they came during the middle of the night. This is the first year we are using them.

Everything was excellent. They came out within 24 hours, and were very punctual and neat. They did not overcharge at all, and I was very happy with their work.

On the hottest day of the year - a Sunday - my A/C stopped working. The next morning, I checked Angie's List and called Stack Heating and Cooling. Even though they had never heard of me before and were very busy, they had someone out to my house within a couple of hours. Turns out it was the operations manager, who was pitching in to help out. He explained everything to me, and was very helpful and nice despite the fact that I had never had my HVAC serviced or inspected in the 9 years since my house was built. I was very impressed with everything about the transaction. I will be engaging them to do annual checks on my equipment from now on.

They have a very good reputation. They came out and did a great job, but it was a little costly. This was an emergency call on a Sunday, which both added to the original cost. Their work was great and they were very respectful and conscience of the mess they made. They were always on time and their attitudes were great. I would use this company again in the future.

Jim did a great job as always. He is always prompt, friendly, and answers all my questions. He does great work, cleans up after himself, and explains everything he has done.

He was very prompt and professional. We are not ready to do the work now, but we would definitely call them in the future.

They are welcome in my home any time. They were really good; efficient, knowledgeable and cleaned up well after the project was completed.

They are very good at what they do! The company is family-run, and each person is more polite than the last. They work smart, clean, are always on time and are a pleasure to deal with. I will use them again when it comes time to design and install the heat systems for our remodel, and would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone. They are one of the last remaining companies with expertise in the old steam boilers, although they do many other types of heating and cooling as well.

Everything I could have expected and more.

I like them a lot & they are great. They answer the phone when I call & if they don't they get back with me really quickly. They are always on time. They do not oversell & I would hire them again in the future.

It went well. They did calculations to determine if my existing boiler was adequate. They did not try to sell me more than I needed but made helpful suggestions and gave me options. The work was spread over multiple visits because I kept adding new requirements. Every one of the employees that worked at my house was professional. There was a minor water leak in the pipes but they called back immediately and were at my house within the hour to fix it.

Met with STACK HEATING & COOLING to review an apparent design flaw and to determine a way to adjust an upstairs room that never seemed to cool properly. The second vent for the room was in the closet and was useless to cool and heat. They devised a way to route some new ductwork and add a vent to solve the problem. The installation was completed in one day and the room has very much improved for heating and cooling.

It went very well. They were very responsive and took care of the problem very quickly. They came on a weekend, which there was an up charge for, but because it was an emergency we were fine with that.

Jamie was on time, knowledgeable, and completed the work the same day even though he had to obtain part not in the truck.

They have always done everything right and been clean and neat in their dress and work.

Very pleased, repairman very courteous. He gave an explanation of what he was doing, I got the company name from my church bulletin, St. Mark Catholic church.

It was really quite easy. They were very easy to work with and they were responsive to our phone calls. They were doing this at our business and they didn't interrupt us while we were working.

THE INITIAL INSTALLATION WENT WONDERFUL, WE WERE NEVER WITHOUT HEAT. THEY ARE GOOD AT COMING OUT IF YOU NEED THEM FOR EMERGENCY SERVICE. THEY ARE FRIENDLY AND KNOWLEDGEABLE.

Called mid-morning and service tech, Tim C, arrived mid-afternoon (first hot day of the year and they were very busy). Even though it was about 90 degrees and he had been busy all day, Tim greeted me as though I was his first customer of the day. He was professional, positive, and respectful of our property. He explained the trouble-shooting he completed and provided me with a detailed explanation of the work needed to done to fix our unit. A/C is working well.

Overall excellent. They were not able to schedule a start up for the installed furnace unit after the heating season had began. So we were cold for a few days.

They are really helpful and reliable and trustworthy.

They were nice and the work was good. They even wore coverings on their shoes. I would work with them again.

We had a terrible incidence last year because the Gas Company had found a leak in the front. We had to have the furnace turned off for 24 hours in January. The Gas Company came out and couldn't get the pilot light lit so we called Stack Heating. They came right and took care of the problem. They are so well trained and I'm comfortable having them in my home.
