A 1 Appliance Service

Repair was done well - root cause identified and new parts installed. Area was cleaned. Repairman was courteous and competent. Price exceeded the value of the appliance - I should have been warned about that.

I called for a dishwasher that was not dissolving detergent correctly. They were able to send someone out the next day. Glen was the technician who came - he was on time, called ahead, was courteous and worked very hard. He wanted to replace a part but did not have it so he cleaned out every part that dispenses water since it was clogged. It looked like a great deal of work but he did it very efficiently. He even called back after he had left to give me some tips he had thought of in case it clogs again. It was a great experience and I would definitely call them again.

I thought their price was too high so I did the work myself. I probably saved about $150 by doing it myself. He was prompt. He did a good job at checking it out and didn't leave a mess.

Danny (the service man) explained up front the cost of a drain pump clean out ($145) and a new pump ($300+), and asked if he should proceed. He opened up the front of the washer, the drain pump housing, and cleared out a big ball of rubber backing from a throw rug. He ran the washer a couple of times to clear out more gunk, then put it all back together. He was pleasant, got wet and didn't get upset or curse, and was clearly knowledgeable about the appliance. I really don;t know if those prices are high or low, but he was prompt (same day), and professional.

We called for service on a Wednesday morning and explained that we had a washer needing repair. We told the man on the phone that we had an appointment with Sears for next week but need someone to come sooner. He said "well if you've called someone else I don't know if we want to schedule any time". I explained that I got his companys name on Angies list and he seemed to improve his attitude a little. After explaining that we didn't want to wait until next week and hoped he could come out today or tomorrow he said he'd have to check with his service manager and call back. He called back within 10 minutes and said that they couldn't get anyone out until next week. Yeah, right!

He came and found nothing wrong with the washer charged a service call and was gone

He was prompt and came the day I called him. He was excellent and we thought his price was reasonable. He was also courteous and got the job done.

After my 13-month old Whirlpool refrigerator broke, I called A1 Appliance trying to find someone to come give a repair estimate. The person who answered the phone took my information and had a technician call me back. When the technician called me back, they asked if the refrigerator was being submitted to insurance or if I was just paying for it. I explained that I was paying for the repairs, but I was going to be submitting for reimbursal via AmEx Extended Warranty. As soon as I mentioned that I was going to be submitting the repair bill for reimbursal, the technician told me, and I quote: "If you're going to submit the bill to someone else, we're not going to bother" They continued by telling me I'd have to go through someone else. I tried to explain that I would be paying them directly and not through an insurance company, but they didn't care. So I did not have this company perform any estimating or repairs, but not because I chose not to hire them - but because they flat-out refused to service my refrigerator!

Don arrived same day as my phone request. He was very polite and thorough.

The item was an easy fix - but overall I was satisfied with the outcome.

He was very efficient. He came when he said he was going to. He had the part on his truck, and he quoted us the price up-front. He solved the problem right away. Everything is still working well.

He was really good and he got right to the issue. He was very helpful in solving the issue and helped me prevent the issue in the future. His service charge was not outrageous.

I?ve had them come out twice for my refrigerator as well. The dishwasher was quite expensive because it was an extensive repair. I would say the price was reasonable but I didn't compare them. The repairmen were very nice and the response to my call was quick. I would recommend them.

My overall experience of working with A-1 Appliance Service has been great. In the past, he has worked on both my washer and dryer and also my previous refrigerator.

He was very efficient, clear, and did everything he said he would. He was in and out and had me operational within a day.

Turned out very well. We are very pleased. He arrived on time, was clean and professional.

We had to call them back and they came out the very next day at no charge, even though it was an unrelated problem.

THEY WERE HERE ON THE DAY I HAD THE PROBLEM. THE PRICE WAS A LITTLE HIGH.
