I couldn’t have been happier. I had a brand new front door. The doors are pretty costly. They are unique in the sense that it is designed and it is bullet proof. It is very energy efficient. My experience with them was very positive. The salesman was very thorough. I was able to negotiate a little bit with him on price. They did have to come back and take care of few things that the fellows didn’t get perfect the first time. They couldn’t have been nicer about everything. They didn’t charge me anything extra when they came out. I did get several estimates and theirs was a little higher. I went with it because I felt good about the company.

I really liked their product. The only problem was that the salesman forgot to turn in the order, and we had to wait 6 weeks for the product to be made. When we called, they had no record of our order, and had to place a whole new one. When they made it, one of the windows was 3/4 of an inch too small. They put some boards in to make up for the difference, and the installation was excellent. They did a very effecient job with that. From the time they measured to the time they installed, it was about 3 months, but we were very satisfied with the product in the end.

We got estimates from 3 other companies. PACE was above in service from all the others. Price wise they were in the middle of the estimates. Brian Ludwig was the only salesman that mentioned the custom depth for the windows. We wanted both windows to be the same depth even though one was a smaller width. We did not realize that the other companies just went via width - and whatever they had for depth for that particular width would be our replacement. None of them explained that situation so be aware when shopping for bay windows if that is a concern. It was a concern to us because both windows were on the north side of our home. We had minor problems opening up two of the windows after the winter. PACE was right there to do adjustments. Very professional - courteous with assisting. I would definitely use PACE again. They really want to satisfy their customers.

I'm updating my original review. Many issues occurred in getting the windows installed properly. A handful had to be redone. My obligation as a consumer is to make it known that though things did not go smoothly, the company did make an effort to fix. The fix took several months. All said and done, the windows are very nice and now work well. A noticeable comfort difference over the winter and am expecting the same come this summer. Would I use Pace again? Maybe / maybe not. Do they make a quality product - yes.

First of all, Pace replaced all the other windows in my house 12 years ago. That was a big job including installing a custom garden window in the kitchen and replacing all the old sixties sliders with larger double-hung windows (about 18" taller than the original windows). That was major construction for all the upstairs windows and I have been extremely happy with the installation and windows. My only complaint could be that the windows are not self-cleaning but I won't even go there because the windows are so easy to clean, it's almost a pleasure. At that time, I did not replace the picture window (10' x 4') in the living room nor the other window on the same wall (about 4' x 4') because I wasn't sure what I wanted to do (I considered replacing the smaller window with a french door). It finally came to me what I wanted to do: remove both windows and the wall between them and have one long expanse of window across the wall. When Dave from Pace came out to talk to me about it, it took a bit for him to grasp what I wanted to do because it was so huge. Essentially, Pace would have to reconstruct the wall (new headers and footers) in order to support the four side-by-side picture windows that would span the distance. Once he saw my vision and we arrived at a price I could afford, he was as excited about it as I was. It was really awesome to watch him get it and to come on board with what I wanted to do. A few weeks after we signed the contract, he and an expert came out to take technical measurements. Everything was going to have to be planned and perfect in order for this to work. At installation time, there would be a huge hole in the back of my house so the new windows needed to go in that same day. On the day of the installation, the head installer arrived with two assistants. They set up a plastic barrier so we could keep the rest of the house cool and free of critters while they reconstructed the wall. It kinda looked like a haz mat site! They got right to work removing the old windows and took them to dispose of them. They started to cut out the wall but we discovered a wire in the wall we didn't know about. The installer capped it off which left me without power to the middle zone of the house (including the stove and microwave). The refrigerator, air conditioning, TVs, and computers still worked so this was a livable solution for me until an electrician could come the following week. Installing the header and the new windows went extremely smoothly. The team worked well together and there was nary a hitch. I took pictures of the entire process, and even a video of one of the window panels going in. At the end of the first day, the windows were in and any openings were sealed. They came back on the second day to do all the finishing work, both inside and out. You can't tell they had to remove and replace any siding on the outside and I only have one small place to touch up with paint on the inside. I was planning on having to repaint the entire wall so this was great. So, how do the windows look? Spectacular! Whenever anyone comes into the house, they are drawn to the windows and always walk right up to them and look out into the woods behind. It is everything I imagined and more. It really has changed the look of the house in a major way -- it looks so much more modern. I am entirely pleased and highly recommend Pace.

They will never call you back even though they promise to. You always have to follow-up with them. They don't seem to be well organized. We initially asked them to give us estimates for replacing a window and repairing the glass in another (kitchen) window. They came, took measurements and then I never received a quote. When I followed up with them, they told me they could not replace the glass in the kitchen window as it was not a Pace window, however they would be happy to come out and fix the 6 Pace windows that we do have since we could feel a draft. When the guy showed up to fix the windows, he had no idea he was there to fix the windows - he thought he was there to repair the kitchen window despite the fact that they had not even quoted us for that window. He didn't have the tools to fix the other windows with him but he did look at them and said they were improperly installed and said they would send someone out to fix them. After months of back and forth, the windows are now (hopefully) fixed. They have tried to blame it on the person who was handling their service area who no longer works there but I've had just as many issues with the replacement person. The guy who came to fix the windows was very nice and seemed to know what he was doing but dealing with the office folks was a frustrating experience that I hope I don't have to repeat.

Miss [member name removed], I am so sorry to hear about the experience you have had with Pace windows and Doors. I can assure you that we at Pace take these complaints very serious and work to make sure it does not happen again. We did hire a few more service representatives and I will meet with them to make this process move much quicker. Due to the quality of Paces product and installation, we typically hardly ever have any service issues as you can see from our A+ rating with the BBB, and the platinum rated customer satisfaction with Angie's list. I can say that this issue will be handled to make sure it will not happen to you or to any future customers of Pace. Please accept my apology and I am glad the issue was resolved. We are a local business and our name and reputation is why we are growing while our competitors are down sizing. My name is Michael Jordano the General Manager of Pace windows and doors. Please feel free to contact me at any time with any issues or suggestions for future work and references. We thank you again for your email.

I'd seen commercials for Rochester Colonial and hadn't heard of Pace so I was wary at first. What immediately impressed me about Pace is that the owner, Steve Abramson, puts his cell phone number right on the company website. That showed me that he stands by his work. I hired Pace after comparing prices between the them and Rochester Colonial (Pace was slightly cheaper). I found the salespeople responsive and the installers highly professional. They cleaned up after themselves, and you could hardly tell that they were there. I'm writing this review 2 years after the fact because my wife and I are still satisfied and would certainly use themagain.

I called and requested an estimate. A salesman came over and showed me all of the different options for windows and storm doors and explained all of the different ratings on windows and what they mean. I was able to get him to come down in price a little bit from his original quote. The salesman was also the supervisor on the crew that came to do the work, which I liked. They showed up on time and completed the work a little quicker than was estimated. I had no problems at all with the install and have already agreed to use the company for more window replacements. The windows are great. My only complaint was with the storm door. It has a top window that slides down. There are little clips that hold this window in place. They broke twice in 6 months. The first time they broke I had to contact them 3 times over several weeks to get replacement clips sent to me. The second time I had to contact them multiple times and the wrong replacement part was sent to me. I'm still waiting for this to be corrected when they come to do additional window replacements for me.

Over the winter, we noticed that some of the windows were fogging up. We got onto Angie's List and saw that Pace had an A rating with a star by their listing. Plus, my husband's brother said he heard Pace was the best in Rochester. We called Pace for a quote, and on April 01, 2014, Mr. Steve Colegrove, Factory Representative, came by. Mr. Colegrove did a thorough job of explaining his windows and sliders and was polite and professional. I must also note that Mr. Colegrove did a good job of engaging both my husband and me, unlike guys in the past from other companies that completely ignored me and talked only to my husband. Impressed, we signed the contract for 5 windows and one slider. Then on April 15, Mr. Brian Kramer came by to measure the windows. He was professional and polite and did a thorough, careful job of measuring the windows. We also added 2 more windows to the contract while he was here. Mr. Kramer clearly explained the additional cost of the 2 other windows. That now made it 7 windows and 1 slider. Then on May 27, Mr. Kramer and another guy, Pat, showed up to install the windows and slider. They immediately placed protective coverings on the floors. During the installation, they carefully took the time to do everything to absolute perfection. They were friendly and polite and in the end, they showed us how the windows operated. They also did a great job of cleaning up after the job. The work came out top notch, and the windows are everything that Mr. Colegrove promised. In the past, we had windows installed in two previous houses we lived in, and compared to them, these windows from Pace are of far superior quality. We still have other windows to replace in the future in this house, and we will definitely call up Pace again.

Sales rep promised work would be done one month before it actually started. Company said it underestimated time needed for other projects and had terminated a crew. Once project started, work progressed in timely manner. Workmen were courteous, neat, professional. Quality of work was great with minor exception that promised final sanding of drywall didn't take place leaving rough surfaces on one wall. (I should have called them back but was anxious to get going with painting. Lesson: haste makes waste) Sunroom and deck are beautiful and greatly enhance the value of my home. Pace did a great job and I would highly recommend them. Project manager, Jeff, was a pleasure to deal with.

The person was 1/2 hour late to our appointment. I received the estimate and asked if they could provide an extra discount if I was paying cash. They stated only if I signed that day with them. I received multiple subsequent emails asking if I had made a choice- Pace was my first choice but after the last email chain and the games - the last email was to state what I was willing to pay and if they could do it for that then ok otherwise we would part as friends, I guess Pace doesn't need my business. I have decided not to do business with them as if this was just trying to get a contract in place- what would the rest of the job be like. Very discouraged and frustrated.

Our house is 25 years old. We needed new windows so this whole project started by going to a home show. We made appointments with 3 different contractors. As soon as we got home, we signed up for Angie's List and looked up all 3. Pace was our first appointment (and also the one with the best ratings on Angie's List). We were so impressed with our sales person Larry, we didn't need to look any further. We went with a rough install on the windows (as opposed to replacement windows) because we wanted as much glass as we had and because the casings and jambs really needed replacement also. A rough install adds quite a bit to the cost but it was needed. We weren't sure how white vinyl windows would look with wood casing and jambs. Our old windows were wood. Our salesperson Larry said let me go grab something and ran out to his car. He came back in with white duck tape and put it one of the wood windows so we could see what it would look like! We went to Pace to see our sales person Larry the following weekend to sign the contract. When he came to our home we hadn't really decided on the slider but looked at them at Pace's showroom and decided we wanted one. We initially decided on a 5-1/2 foot slider because that was our opening with the french doors. I really wanted the blinds in between the glass but to get that we had to go to a 6 foot door (and a new header). After a week or so we decided to upgrade to the 6 foot door. Our salesperson gave us a great deal on the upgrade. As for the front door, our doors on the front of the house are green on the outside and that's how the new door came to us. We didn't have to do anything as far as painting the door. We wanted to stay with wood casings and jambs on the doors and windows so Pace delivered the wood to us ahead of time so we could get it all stained and vanished prior to install. Install of the windows and slider was done in 2 days. The front door install was a week later and took only a few hours. These guys who installed were great! They were so professional and very picky about their work. There was no mess left. In fact, I'm pretty sure the carpet was cleaner when they left than before they came! And they even washed the new windows after installing them! They also took time explaining how to work the windows as far as tilting to clean. They also made sure we inspected everything and were happy with everything prior to leaving. Not sure we're suppose to mention names but Bob, Tom, Mike and Pat are the best installers we could have ever asked for! We really can't say enough good things about Pace! We would recommend them without a doubt!

The gentleman who came to our home to measure windows and provide an estimate was very knowledgable, professional and friendly. He spent close to 2 hours with us. We wanted to have several estimates before making a decision about what to buy and who to contract with for the service. We were looking to replace most of the windows in our house. This is an expensive proposition and we were prepared to pay for good quality, but Pace prices were almost twice as much as others. We compared ratings on windows and found that the products they use stand up very well, but are not significantly better than others we looked at. We did not purchase anything from Pace because of the very high estimate.

Pace was very informative when I went in to see what they had to offer. I chose them because of their lifetime guarantee on any and all parts of the door. The installer showed up a little late but that was not a real problem for me. He was personable and courteous. He was also very good at keeping things cleaned as he went along. Only problem I had was the wrong doors were brought. The sales order was put in incorrectly. But by the time that was noticed the old doors were out and the new framing was up. The installer put in what doors were brought and after calling the office it was determined that it was their mistake. They are coming back as soon as the correct doors are manufactured. Tho the work is not technically "completed" so far I am happy with the work and their response to the error. I gave them a B overall only because of the wrong doors being delivered. Over a month later I finally got the right doors. They were very accommodating on the date/time to replace the doors with the correct ones. Service tech arrived early and within an hour I had the doors that I had originally ordered. Again, I only gave them a B because of the mistake in the order of the doors. I would not hesitate to use them again.
