They gave me an estimate of one price and then when they were done they charged me another price and I was a little bit disappointed in that. You know I was just a little disappointed in the work that they did.
I had a new refrigerator and a new dishwasher and when they delivered it I asked to put the wires to the sink which we redid our kitchen. Now I bought a faucet and I had Cox come over to hook up the faucet. He said I needed a new elbow underneath it but he hooked up the faucet. The other two things I already had all the wires and the hoses directed to the sink. He charged me $876 to put, and he connected the faucet that's what he did.
While they're working here they listen we forgot some parts we gotta go back to the shop. They charge $175 an hour and they're charging me while they're going to the shop for parts that they forgot to bring with them in the first place. I was little disappointed in that.
About two weeks ago I said to them we had a leak in the bathroom I said to the guy when he came here. I said, "listen we're redoing this bathroom to stop this leak I don't wanna spend too much money. How much is it gonna cost me?" He said, "$175 for labor and $70 for parts which was 260". I said fine that's fun go right ahead and do it so when he was done I said I'll give you a check for 260. He said, "no wait a minute I have to go down and figure it out." Well while he was doing that, this is the second time that we were here they guys says to me well I have to go back to the shop because I forgot a part. I said you know that was the first thing they told me the first time they came here and when he was done they charged me 370 something dollars. It was ridiculous he told me it was gonna cost me 260 and it wind up costing me 370 I mean I just was so disappointed in it but I said you know what I'm not gonna fight with the guy, they don't make the prices there the ones that come to do the job it's the company that sets the price.
They did a good job and they guys that come here are nice guys but the thing is is that being a nice guy there is a limit to how much a nice guy is worth you know. $876 I thought was a little much to install a faucet that I bought.

two workers came one seemed to do all the work while the other was putting new faucet on the new sink top. He could not figure out how the sink stopper got attached and sat hemming and hawing about how they made these things, Definitely not very professional. Then he took a ride somewhere for approx a half hour. Not impressed.

HAD TO REPAIR SECOND TIME AT ADDITIONAL COST OF 300.00
Response from CHARLES COX INC
"The job actually cost the homeowner $195 in 2010 to replace the circulator pump. We serviced again in 2012 for $195 to replace a coupler on the circulator. We warranty our jobs for one year. We try to please all of our customers."

They did excellent work but they were very expensive. The work was clean and they were professional. Their hourly rate is what made it so expensive. I will not be using this company again because of the high cost.

The plumber showed up on time and disconnected and removed an old existing bbq grill that came with the house when we bought it, and installed a new one for us. He was prompt and neat and did everything we asked them to do, despite the fact that we weren't there when he did then work. I would recommend them highly and use them again.

My experience with him was absolutely wonderful. He couldn't do enough for me. He returned my calls. All the workers, and the work, was neat and clean. They were a joy to work with.

Gil from Cox came exactly on time on both days (2 days of work given the problem), he found the leak in the ceiling and determined the problem. We then had him fix the leak in our basement which was coming from our main floor bath, and he did so with a partner in the time he said it would take. There were NO extra fees, no outrageous bills, it was just as he had said it would be for labor and parts. This is the first honest plumber I have found in Nassau county.
