Description of Work: No heating response over a weekend with 2 babies in house and it was cold February weather. First time responder came Monday and was replacing everything on a 5 year old furnace which they installed. Repairman did not know what it was and left without giving heat. Supposedly ordering a part from out of town. We asked that they send another repairman who knew something. This man came and after a little bit realized we did not need any parts it needed to be cleaned.

Description of Work: New A/C: condenser, coil. New furnace and hot water heater. Went well.

Description of Work: Installed a new Split A/C System in 3 bedroom in our house. Job completed in 1 day. Had an issue w/the workers putting ladders & stepping on some of the (perennial) plants on the side of the house where the out-door condenser unit was being installed. Called the main office & discussed with management. They agreed to re-place the plants, if they do not grow back new year.

Description of Work: Hired Apple Air to install Central Air in my home. The House had wall units. On the day of installation they came at 8:30 with a complement of 4 trucks and everyone knew their assignments. By 4:30 the job was complete. The crew was professional an relatively clean. I would highly recommend them.

Description of Work: I made an appt. to meet with the owner of the company. Tony, to give me an estimate on having mini ductless heating/cooling units installed in my home. We had an appt. to meet at 2:15 on March 30. When Tony did not show up on time, I phoned his office and spoke to Stephanie who told me that Tony was running late, but that he was on his way. When Tony arrived, I explained to him that I was interested in having these units installed for both cooling and heating. Tony was pushing the Mitsubishi units but told me that these units, even though they are marketed to be used for both heating and cooling, really shouldn't be used as a primary heating unit but rather as a back up for my oil heating system and that these units were primarily used for cooling. He walked with me through my home so I can show him where I thought the units should go. Tony spent approximately 45 minutes in my home and told me he would send me an estimate via mail within the next week. on what this system should cost me. When I didn't receive the estimate 2 weeks later, I phoned and spoke to Pat who put me on hold while she checked on whether the estimate was sent out. When Pat got back on the phone, she told me that they were very busy and that they were behind on sending out their estimates. I asked her to PLEASE phone me back to let me know when the estimate would be sent out and she agreed to do that. Another week went by and I phoned again on April 20th and spoke to Stephanie who put me on hold and then got back on the line to tell me that Tony told her that he didn't think the system he recommended to me would work in my home. You could imagine my surprise to hear that comment, when Tony gave me NO indication at the time of the estimate that he had any such concerns. Stephanie told me that a letter was sent out to me letting me know this decision. When I asked her why Pat wasn't aware that such a letter was sent to me last week when I spoke to her, Stephanie had no logical response! I NEVER received any such correspondence! Tony bragged about his company being the #1 Air conditioning company on Long Island and yet there was not one review of his company for this purpose in the last 3 years on Angie's List..
