"This home had radiant heat in the majority of the basement floor (pipes buried in the concrete circulating hot water) which was the deciding factor for using the far corner of the basement for the suction point location. At the homeowner's request we used the smallest fan available which provided enough reduction in radon to satisfy the homeowner. There is no safe level for radon and Highland Air strives to keep radon to a minimum. The appropriate radon fan would have reduced the radon to outdoor levels."
"This review is meant for the business “Highland Heating”. We do not work with HVAC systems. Our sole business is radon mitigation."
When he finished that day, Dan left us with a radon test kit, which we used a few days later. The subsequent results showed the radon level to be 1.5, and our electronic monitoring confirms it has stabilized at much lower levels than we had previously seen. We are very happy we had the work done, and also happy that we chose Highland Air. We would not hesitate to recommend Dan for somebody needing radon mitigation.
I was mandated by the bank to get the radon concern taken care of. I called Dan and explained my rush...couldn't close on my new house without the system being installed and showing proven results. He took care of it within a couple of days, followed up with a letter to my bank, and provided the results as soon as they came in. The radon levels went from 7+ to .6. (point 6). He was very nice and worked very neatly. I would highly recommend Highland Air.
