I had a firm quote of $200 for an oil boiler cleaning service. The technician did not have the required replacement nozzle and had to go to the plumbing supply store for the part. It took about 2 hours total for the cleaning. The service was completed professionally. I asked them to replace the oil vent whistle. They quoted me about $40 for the part but did not give me a price for the work. Since it took no more than a half-hour, to replace the whistle, I did not expect the $250 extra charge. I would only recommend Marco Mechanical for work done with a predetermined fixed price. I felt like I was gouged for the extra work.
