- Opens and answers service calls early (7am).
- Provided same day service during my lunch hour.  Called me 15 min before technician arrived so I could get home in time.
- Pleasant, smart technician.
- Respected indoor space: wore booties, took care to put them on/off whenever coming in/out
- Diagnosed problem, then gave me 3 levels of care (required to get AC running, recommended to keep AC running for next ~5 yrs, and top of the line).  Provided cost estimates before starting work.
- Had parts in the van and completed work within 1.5 hrs.
Plus, saved $84.99 with the Angie's List coupon by foregoing the diagnostic fee.  I'm very happy and will use this company again.

The energy assessment went well and the specialist seemed to be very knowledgeable but the specialist still hasn't returned to present the report to us. Additionally, he spotted a small gas leak in our basement but hasn't provided an estimate or scheduled a follow-up to have it fixed. The follow up meeting was scheduled originally for November 1st, but he had to cancel the morning of the meeting. The rescheduled meeting was November 8th, but he never showed up and never called.
Response from Taylor Heating, Inc.

"I am truly sorry for the poor service that you have received from our consultant and Taylor Heating. It is not our norm to miss appointments like this. I spoke with the consultant and was told that he has contacted you and that you now have the information that you needed. If this is not correct or if you would like to discuss the matter further please call me @500-HELP(4357) and I will personally attend to your needs. Thank You Tony DiCiacce President"

The technician arrived promptly and was meticulous in his check out and maintenance of the furnaces.
He  asked whether I wanted the humidifiers inspected and maintained and advised me of what I thought was an excessive charge (over half the cost of maintaining the furnaces!) for this, given that I had my own media elements and if the humidifiers required no repair I'd be charged just to replace the media, which I am capable of doing myself!
I asked whether the quoted furnace maintenance price included the cost of the filters for the Aprilaire. He said no and quoted a price twice that I pay for these filters on-line. I told him to use the ones I have. I mentioned that in previous servicing the Taylor technician noticed that one of the ionization wires (part# 4315 Ionizing Wire) was broken and the previous technician said he would look into replacing it, but never got back to me. Later, the current technician reported that after inspection of both furnaces and and consulting with the office, there would be a $200 charge for the broken wires and a $45 re-visit charge to install them. I went ballistic and declined this repair! More on this later).
The technician finished the job, was very neat and courteous, and I paid the previously agreed price for the visit.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The rest of this review deals with my discussions with 'the boss' at Taylor. He called me within 15  minutes of my call to his office. I
expressed my outrage at having to pay for SIX broken ionizing wires on two cleaners, specifically recommended by Taylor as 'top of the line', when Taylor installed them three years ago. The boss told me 'stuff happens' and that I have required no other repairs to which I said I would hope not given the newness of the furnaces (4 and 3 years old) and that the newest was the very top of the line, per Taylor Heating. (I might have facetiously replied these were furnaces, after all, and not Saturn rocket engines!)
Taylor then consulted with Aprilaire, who agreed to replace the ionizing wires at no charge (under the 5 year warranty) and Taylor said he would charge me only $65 to install them (attach the wire eyelets to the prongs on the frames). I agreed, feeling trapped.
NOTE : I believe Taylor is acting according to 'standard industry practices', which has high hourly labor rates and at least 100% mark-up on parts. I do not hold this against Taylor and I have not reduced their rating one bit for this. And I appreciate their contacting Aprilaire on my behalf, albeit only after I balked at paying.
But I strongly suggest anyone who will needs 'consumables' in periodic plumbing type repairs buy these items (most preferably on-line) and save big-time. In this case savings were $30 per filter, $17 per ionization wire (vs. Taylor's asked price), and $8 per humidifier pad.

I had the above work done In preparation for remodeling,   The two workers performed the work very efficiently and neatly, and appeared knowledgeable and courteous.  I was also given a free estimate and they were flexible as to when the work was scheduled.  I would trust them with future work.

I was very unhappy with them. I feel they overcharged me for the furnace, and there was a disagreement about the 10% discount that they said they would give me, because I paid cash, and then they also told me that there was a rebate of $700 on my old furnace, but they did not tell me that there was a time limit on the rebate, so I didn't get it on time, because they told me they would take care of everything. I finally called them, and they said I had to do that, and it turned out I didn't get $700 rebate, I got $300, but that is not the point. The point is the time limit. My air conditioner is gone, and I called them, and they gave me a high estimate, so I called someone else. I am very unhappy with them. The price was way too high.

Technician called me 30 minutes prior to showing up as I requested.  He checked the furnace then proceed out to A/C unit.  While in the house he alway put on the house he always put on this shoe overs.  After proceeding outside he discovered teh issue within minutes.  He had to replace my starter capacitor and since my unit was old he suggested a hard start capacitor to protect my starter capacitor, all new units come with both.  He stated you only need this if you have a high draw of amps on start.  So he proceeded to test and found my draw was high and I needed to get a hard start capacitor.  I appreciated his honesty with me.  after replacing everything he cleaned out my A/C which i thought was a little expensive but the A/C definitely needed to be cleaned.  All in all a good trip and A/C is working perfectly now.

The system is running the best it has in many years. There is noticeably better air flow and better dust trapping. It was much more economical to sign up for a regular service since our A/C will be needed soon and that needs to be checked out. The repair man was professional, knowledgeable and responsive.

I had an emergency call as my furnace stopped working on a very, very cold windy day. Les was at my house within 1 hour. He diagnosed the problem, replaced my thermostat with one of the products they carry (which was great. I chose it over the one I already had purchased to install) and gave me lots of helpful information.
I will most definitely use them again and recommend to family and friends as they were efficient, professional and personable and the price was far better than other quotes I had. They are my new go to HVAC company!
