My basement had a heavy amount of mold on walls and ceiling rafters. Paul Wagner provided me with clear and concise information on what needed to be done to clean-up and what I would need to do to keep my basement dry. His team was extremely professional. They completed the job in time-frame required and left the basement immaculate. I am sorry I didn't take care of this years ago!! And I want to mention how well I was treated by the office staff whenever I had a question. The option for 0% financing was also an added benefit. Thanks so much to Paul Wagner and his team!!

These guys were pros. They were experienced and helpful, offering alternatives for consideration with pros and cons. All questions and concerns were answered in full, both by management and by the work crew. We understood the plan for each day and inspected and reviewed progress against plan at the end of each day with them. Although they were not the cheapest solution, they were the right (long term) choice, and we highly recommend them. They were worth it.
Description of Work: Performed mold remediation followed by adding attic insulation (cotton) to achieve R-60, sealed all ceiling penetrations, added boxes around the can lights, and added/replaced baffles as necessary.

I told them more than once, they were the best contractors we've hired in this area yet. They were responsive, respectful, the work they did was beautiful. Everything they did was above and beyond what was quoted to us. And icing on the cake, they cleaned the floor behind them each day as they walked out. It as always spotless. We are planning on hiring them again to do our attic and add some insulation. Thanks again!
Description of Work: We had some mold in our basement playroom, and along all the walls. They cleaned everything, repainted, hung drywall, and repaired trim, glass block windows installed. We also had weep holes drilled and a cover to direct any water.

It went quite well. The two people that came out were very professional and very polite. They did all the proper procedures. The patching up of the drywall was okay. That part was acceptable but not great but the remediation was very good. The price wasn't insignificant because it included everything. The first part, they did the attic and the bedroom and then they came back and did the kitchen which required us to take out the oven and some walls and required a lot more work.
Description of Work: They did some significant mold remediation for us. They did a significant amount of work. They had to re-mediate molds in the walls in the kitchen and in our attic and in our bedroom. They patched up the drywall afterwards.

He expressed that he thought the drywall work was satisfactory, and we offered to come back out and correct any issues. He said it was not a big deal and the painters could make any corrections. We were very pleased with the work performed by Comprehensive Mold Management . The employees working in our home were courteous, neat and took the time to answer questions and explain what had to be done. The precautions of isolating the work areas with plastic and using fans to minimize dust were much appreciated. The paint matched nicely and the finished ceilings and walls look like new. In addition, the insulation in the attic was inspected and repaired as needed. Lastly, the job was completed within the estimated number of days and everything was cleaned up before leaving the premises.
Description of Work: As a result of ice damming during last winter and resulting water leaks, Comprehensive Mold Management removed and replaced damaged ceiling and wall drywall, removed and replaced insulation, and repainted affected areas in first floor kitchen and 2 upstairs bathrooms. In addition, inspected and replaced some insulation in attic where water leaks occurred.

Paul came and gave us professional assessment of the work we wanted done. He was clear about what I needed to do and and what they would be doing. Nathan was the foreman who with his crew performed the work. Cannot say enough good things about his work ethic, professionalism and communication. They worked long days, in spite of dealing with bad weather, finished both renovations in 3 weeks. Completely transformed a "dungeon" into a bright beautiful happy bathroom. Paul visited my house to inspect an area of the house I suspected of mold. He quickly assessed the situation and determined it was not a mold problem at all. While at my house, he shared advice on how to manage basement humidity and what to consider for insulating the walls and rim joists. The information was shared in a professional manner with no hint of pressure or guessing; he knew his stuff and openly shared it. Cost: $0.

Paul and the CMM team were great during the whole process. The initial inspection helped us to learn about the scope and seriousness of the issue and put us at ease that we were working with someone who could help. The work was completed within the time predicted, and CMM was flexible with scheduling changes we needed. Paul was very responsive by phone and email and was patient with all questions. The warranty makes me feel that they will stand by their work. I would definitely recommend CMM for this work.

Working with CMM was a good experience. Paul Wagner was able to provide me with an estimate after reviewing photos of the attic and getting the dimensions of the space. He even noted that if the work could be completed in 1 day instead of 2, that he would reduce the final cost--this ended up occurring, saving me over $400. Their work included: 1) Setting up a containment area, using negative air pressure 2) Applying a disinfectant to all mold areas 3) Clean and vacuuming (using HEPA filters) the space 4) Applying multiple coats of a mold killing primer. The crew was punctual, left the area as clean as they found it, and were courteous and professional. I received a lifetime warranty on their work that is transferable. I would use CMM again in the future--just hope I won't need to.

I was very disappointed in this company. I had discovered some mold growing underneath a few areas of plaster in our kitchen. I was concerned, (obviously), because it's mold, and also I wasn't sure what the source of the mold was (i.e. a possible active water leak, an old leak, etc.) I called and scheduled someone to come out and take a look. I was told that they had a thermal imaging system that would be able to identify the source of any moisture and also determine the extent of the mold without having to rip open my walls. Fast forward, the "mold specialist" showed up. He looked around very briefly and barely explained anything to me. He was holding a moisture meter up to random places on the walls all around the kitchen, moving around so quickly and not saying anything, so I didn't have any idea what was the problem or what was going on. I felt very rushed and overwhelmed. He told me the area with the mold, along with the rest of the kitchen, was showing as "saturated" and that he "didn't even know the extent of the mold problem" (I thought they had a tool for that????) and we're going to have to open up the walls to determine the extent, but it "won't be pretty." He then advised me that our bathroom upstairs was probably leaking and I should get it fixed, he'll "send me some numbers", and promptly left. He didn't even use the thermal imaging system! I also never heard from him again! I told him I had to talk to my fiance before I made any decisions, but I would have liked to know what he suggested. Now I know why he never got back to me... The next day, my friend's husband who does plumbing work came over, opened up some of the walls in my kitchen, (as per the suggestion of the "mold specialist."). I'd like to point out the following was discovered once we opened up the walls: 1. The areas which the "mold specialist" told me were "saturated" were bone dry inside. Entire pieces of wall were cut out, and the wall pieces were not the least bit wet, damp, nothing! 2. The "saturated" areas had no mold inside, nor were there any signs of moisture. 3. No ants were found, nor did we find an ant's nest, which is contradictory to the claim from the "mold specialist" that the carpenter ants must have been around for a long time due to ongoing water damage. We also found no "soft wood" in which a carpenter ant colony could nest. 4. I specifically asked the "mold specialist" if the mold we had was just surface mold, and he told me absolutely not, the mold problem would be permeated all throughout the walls. Upon looking inside of the entire area, his statement could not have been further from the truth. NO mold inside, no mildew, NO signs of water. Upon further inspection, it was we noticed that a pipe in the wall had been repaired, so we are assuming the surface mold was just residual from previous moisture, as it was evident that there was no longer any sort of moisture in the area. I have FOUR enormous holes in my kitchen walls which I have to pay someone to repair because the "mold specialist" told me I had a drenched and mold-filled kitchen! I am furious! Not only did this "mold specialist" get me all in a panic for no reason, but it seems as though when he realized there wasn't much a problem, instead of doing the honest thing and telling me not to worry about it, he convinced me my kitchen was basically falling apart, and then never got back to me or used the proper equipment to evaluate the situation. I am a young female home owner, and i feel completely taken advantage of. I have no mold problems, but now i have a torn apart kitchen problem!!! The only reason they got an A for responsiveness and punctuality is because the "mold specialist" was on time, and the secretary who scheduled the appointment was very nice, informative, and answered many of my questions.

We apologize for the misunderstanding, seeing as there must have been some type of disconnect in regards to the estimate. The owner came out to do the analysis at this home. He went around to multiple areas of the kitchen and placed his moisture meter in the plaster, which had high levels of moisture in the walls. He said that it seems the bathroom is the source of the problem and made some recommendations on how to potentially correct this. He did not use his thermal imaging camera because it was not necessary for this estimate. A thermal imaging camera is used to determine heat loss and moisture from heat loss. The owner provided some recommendations, however there was no discussion of numbers or about an estimate being sent over. Also, the homeowner had mentioned that there were carpenter ants and that she had overflowed her bathtub three weeks prior. Paul informed her that carpenter ants are typically found in homes where long-term moisture issues, due to the fact that they prefer wet wood for consumption. Also, that the bathtub leak should have dried by now and shouldn’t be where the issue was stemming from. The owner left our contact information and some educational material and said let me know if I can help with anything. The customer said that she needed to speak with her husband about everything and that she would get back to him, of which she never did. He thought it had been made clear by both parties that she would get back to him upon talking to her husband and that he’d be happy to speak with him and send an estimate if they so choose. He would still be happy to try to help them rectify their issues and come out again to go over any other questions and concerns they still have. Each customer is entitled to their own opinion and if they were not happy with the outcome of our recommendations, they are always able to seek out additional opinions from other companies. We unfortunately do not agree with her plumber’s opinion about it being “residual from previous moisture” due to the readings on his moisture meter being over 20%; a level at which mold growth can be found. We are sorry for their concerns and frustrations and if you would like to discuss this further please feel free to contact our office to speak with the owner.

From their arrival on Thursday morning until they finished the job on Friday afternoon their only concern was completion of the job to our complete satisfaction. Jay and Dan put down drop clothes and plastic to fully protect the floors and carpets and then sealed the room used for access to the attic. The first day (Thursday) was spent neutralizing the existing mold with a spray neutralizer. They then applied 2 coats of an encapsulating spray paint to the entire underside of the roof. On the second day (Friday) they installed baffling to all of the bay's in the attic and spread the existing insulation around to completely cover all of the holes in the insulation. After that was completed they blew in 13 bundles of insulation to add 4 plus inches to the entire attic space. Jay and Dan then cleaned everything they touched and vacuumed from the attic access room backwards through the living room down the stairs through the basement to their truck. When they left it was as if they had never been here. It was a real pleasure having Jay and Dan here doing the work they had to do. They always had a smile and positive attitude even after crawling around for 2 and 1/2 hours in the existing insulation. I was very apprehensive about the job but the apprehension soon left after meeting with the owner Paul Wagner and Jay and Dan.

I had an appointment for 1:00 pm and no one showed up. Around 1:30 pm or so, I phoned their office to find out when the person was coming. I was told my appointment was rescheduled to 3:30 pm and would take about 45 minutes. I was not informed of this change and that time did not work for me because I had to leave for another appointment. I was told they left me a message about the change, but three was no message from them on my answering machine. My answering machine was working fine because other people had left me messages on it that same day. Paul came over shortly after my call to their office and took a quick look around the basement. In my opinion, he didn't offer much information and seemed a little remote, compared to other companies who came to give me an estimate. He was there about 10 to 15 minutes and left. I didn't feel like I had enough information from him to feel comfortable hiring them for the job. I'm sure they do a good job, but I decided to go with another company.

We got 5 quotes for the work in our basement, ranging from approximately $2000 on up to $14,000. Three companies (EverDry, Frank's, and Crawford) wanted to jackhammer our basement and install entirely new drainage, to the tune of $10K+. Paul said that wasn't necessary, and we appreciated his honesty. His work even comes with a guarantee! The other company, Healthy Spaces, was in Paul's price range, but never actually gave us their written estimate. Paul and his fellow workers were very easy to work with, communicating at the in-home estimate in person with one of us, over the phone and email with both of us. I really appreciate this, as some companies have some ridiculous policy of insisting husband and wife are both home for the estimate--look, we both work full-time, and my hours are NOT flexible! Paul answered questions outside of office hours via email very quickly. Our work date was scheduled over two months (!!) in the future, but when the gentlemen arrived, they were all business. They answered any questions we had and were very polite. The estimate was for 2.5 days of work, and they literally left at 11:59AM the third day. They were very professional, we were impressed by the way they "swept themselves out." They put down a drop cloth covering the entire pathway from our doorstep to the basement, so they never left any additional dirt. They left the basement WAY cleaner than they found it--yay for no more cobwebs in the rafters! Bonus! They accidentally left a can of paint and a brush, but I certainly won't complain about that! Look, no one wants mold anywhere, and no one wants to have to deal with it, but this company was a pleasure to do business with. PS We definitely experienced scare tactics with some of the companies, especially EverDry. They're also very persistent, I had to block the number because they were calling 2x/day. Franks was incredibly pushy, and left aggressive voicemails. Again, let me say Paul of CMM was a pleasure to work with.

Quite frankly he uses scare techniques to make his sales. He convinced the buyer that the roof was unsafe and needed to be replaced and I had three independent roofing contractors turn out and all three of them said he was full of crap that the roof is fine. All he is trying to do is sell this whole house. I have talked to a couple of realtors and they said that's his modus operandi. He tries to scare people into really buying things that they really don't need and aren't going to make a difference. He did the same thing at my house. It may have been a free estimate and he was trying to sell me a job. He is a liar. He did have some information but overall he is a fraud. He was there when I called. He was there on time. While he was doing this walk through with my parents house with his buyer when he came down he came down out of the attic. He did not see the mold that was in the attic. He was more concerned about telling them the roof had to be torn off and they had to have this fan installed. When he came down and told her this I told him I beg to differ I had a 285 pound roofer walking around on that roof yesterday and he didn't fall through and he said well he is awfully lucky. I said no I just think your not a roofing expert your the mold expert and he looked at me in front of this buyer and the buyers realtor and said well its good it does not matter because your not paying me, she is.

I respect the opinion of the person writing this, but I am not in agreement with their roofers evaluation. Did any of these roofers inspect the inside as well or just the outside of the roof? The person that reviewed this did not call us or pay us for any services. I stated my opinion based on the condition of the plywood roof. I can only imagine the person who wrote this review was not happy with my evaluation, as the person that paid for this inspection did not purchase the home. We obviously evaluated two properties for this customer, and felt our initial inspection at the first property was adequate enough to call us to come and inspect the second property. We reached out to this customer as we do with every customer for a follow up and he never responded, if he had an issue with our evaluation he should have reached out to us.
