SERVPRO OF THE EAST END

This was a major mold remediation project. It was necessary to remove hardwood floors in kitchen and adjacent areas as well as removal of all of the kitchen cabinets. They had to return 4 times before the house passed the required tests for mold. The manager kept us informed of the status of the work and the extent of the damage as well as progress toward completion. The job did not start off well initially because we were not aware of NY requirements for mold remediation work. Due to NY requirements, start of a job to dry out the house was delayed by roughly 10 days.

We hired Serv Pro of the East end to assist with an Oil Spill. We chose them over another Serv Pro franchise as they assured us that ?it would be like it never happened? and that ?we would keep coming back until the issue is resolved?. Secondly, they even cited that a competing franchise was probation and that they were in good standing. Initially they were fairly responsive in working on our oil spill. They had many strong recommendations to address the issue. Shortly after the insurance company paid them for their initial work, they stopped returning calls and finally, after numerous attempts to contact them that "We consider the job closed". Despite the fact that the house still had significant damage which they had never addressed. Further they had not even completed half the recommended services that they suggested. Lastly ,much of their work was sloppy. In repainting our floor, they painted in a substance called "quick dry" rather than adequately cleaning the area. Weeks after their work the insulation they installed was falling down from the ceiling and the paint was pealing in areas. On top of all of this, they had a 500 dollar charge to our credit card to serve as a "holder" until the insurance paid. They refused to refund it even after the insurance company paid them many thousands of dollars. I had to dispute the charge with my credit card company. We remained appalled that they abandoned us and of their poor craftsmanship.

After the plumbing and cesspool were dealt with it was recommended that I call Eas End Servpro. It was late afternoon and they had a team of 3 here by early evening. They charge for a service call and then by the hour. I was shocked by how hard and FAST they worked! Always polite, explained everything, and were very careful not to track anything into the house! In a couple hours the rug was cut up, bagged and removed. The wall panels were removed, they foun the solids behind the walls and cleaned and sterilized the walls and floor. They gently removed anything salvageable from the boxes, put in bins and discarded the boxes. They were wonderful !! They left an air scrubber and dehumidifier behind until all was dry. There is absolutely no smell or indication of what happened I highly recommend them. Thank you Greg-you and your team made this awful disaster into a manageable downsizing!

When I called Servpro to help clean up a flooded basement after Hurricane Sandy, I was not surprised when they told me they could not accommodate me right away, but would put me on a waiting list. I assumed that would be the last I heard from them, but within two days, they called to tell me that a crew was coming in from another part of the country and would be able to do my job asap. Within hours, someone from the out-of-town crew called me on my cell and set up a visit to give me an estimate. She then very quickly came to the house, provided an itemized estimate by e-mail, and, after receiving the go-ahead, sent the crew in to do the work. They removed the debris, washed down the floor and walls, sanitized, and dried it out with fans. Although the price seemed high, I assume it was in line with what any well-known restoration company would charge for these services. A few weeks later, Servpro called me to follow up and make sure everything was done to my satisfaction.

Called them up and they put me on the list. They were there within 1 hour and took care of the problem. They were great!!

SERVPRO WORKED WITH MY INSURANCE COMPANY WHICH REALLY HELPED ME A LOT. MY TWO BIG DOGS LIKED THE MEN WHO CAME TO MY HOUSE AND I LIKE THAT. THEY KNEW WHAT THEY WERE DOING AND DID A GOOD JOB.

THIS IS THE FIRST COMPANY I HAVE FOUND THAT HAS BEEN ABLE TO REMOVE THE STAINS AND ODORS OUT OF MY FURNITURE. THE STAFF MEMBER WAS PROFESSIONAL AND KNOWLEDGEABLE OF HOW TO REMOVE THE STAINS.
