Mr. Rooter Plumbing of Central LI

Mr Rooter hired a sub contractor to install my water main. That man, Larry, did a nice job. The trouble started when Mr. Rooter started to do the plumbing work. His man removed the meter from my basement. He never capped off the end that was in my basement. I hosed off the driveway to remove dirt from the installer. The excess water ran into the hole they dug to install the pipes. The water went into the pipe and ran into my basement. I went downstairs to find water and mud all over the carpet in the basement. This was a big mess that I had to clean. The next day, Gary, the owner of the Mr. Rooter franchise sent another plumber to install a new meter. He finished the job and left telling me everything was fine. My wife and I went out for dinner and returned home several hours later. When we returned I went to the basement and there was a second flood, another 4 hours to clean up this mess. Larry sent plumber #3 to clean up the mess that #2 plumber made. He clean up the mess and he told me the previous plumber did a poor soldering job on the water pipe and that's was caused the second flood. On top of all this mess Mr. Rooter's price was over the top.

This company has good service but there prices are outrageous.

They were very responsive to my request and came out on Sunday to change out a valve. Jim the service man was very good. It turns out what I thought was a small job was a bit more involved but Jim did a great job explaining the situation. He fixed some issues that could have turned out to be a big problem.

I was very much impressed with Mr. Rooters standard of professionalism, courtesy, punctuality, and cleanliness. This company is #1 in the industry for a reason. Jim was exceptional. His knowledge base for the job was impressive and his techniques to complete the job were equally impressive. Our issue was not an easy one to solve, but Jim stayed with it and repaired the problem where most other plumbers would have given up. This is a great company that has exceptional plumbers working for them. I will use them again in the future and hightly recommend them to anyone else.
