Attempted to work with Bill over a ~2 month period. Connected over the phone initially and was assured the replacement of my HVAC unit (PTAC / Water Source Heat Pump) would be a simple and quick operation, and quoted a price that seemed fair (compared to other quotes). Stopped conversations with other vendors/servicers as this seemed like a straightforward replacement. Over the next few months, this became the most frustrating, unprofessional and painful process I've been through as a homeowner. Spent a week calling and trying to setup an appointment, but was unable to get a response. Finally got through the following week, was told he'd been traveling, and again assured this would be easy. Spent another week waiting for response on scheduling a time and again no response to numerous emails and voicemails (should have learned my lesson). A week later, finally get through, explained that I'm renting my unit and needed to put something on the calendar - again, told I'd be called back the next day to setup a time. That call didn't come through... The following week, I tried calling every day and soon realized I was being ignored - finally called from a different phone and got through, and finally setup an appointment. Bill "missed" this appointment after I took the day off of work. At end of day I finally got through and rescheduled reiterating importance of getting the job done asap. After more back/forth, Bill came late to the follow-up appointment, looked at the unit for 10min, appeared knowledgeable and we agreed on a day for installation. That day comes, no one shows and again my calls/emails are ignored. Gave it the rest of the week, desperately trying to get this done before my tenant moved in, and again my calls get fwd'd directly to voicemail. I've never been strung around like this and ended up losing thousands of dollars in rent in the process. I've never seen someone act this unprofessionally (why not just tell me he doesn't want the business, or doesn't care). I can't comment on the quality of work (job was never even started), but in retrospect I'm really happy it never got to that point since I can't imagine how painful the process would have been.
Description of Work: Request to replace the PTAC unit in my apartment, quoted ~$3-4k.
