The young man that came informed me of the problem and fixed it. He cleaned up his mess and it was a messy job. He was there for about 3 hours. He explained and showed me what was broke on my furnace and that the filter need to be changed. He also informed me that there was another problem and that he would have to order the part and return to install it. All is well at the Weaver house now and I am ready for Winter : )

Scott spent a lot of time with me helping me figure out if I wanted to stay with oil or go to propane. He gave me options and figures. I decided to go with a propane boiler and a water heater, super high efficiency. He was willing to work with me in that my oil tank was filled while I was making the decision, and with the warm winter, it took a long time to burn the oil. He was very patient and flexible about getting the prep work done, then when the installation day came, he brought a team of workers to repipe and refit my new boiler. Amazing work - it looks elegant and sensible (I am not a technical type, but it looks like I could propel my house into outer space) and they were prompt and professional and sweet! The also left my basement spotless. No complaints - I think Scott is wonderful, and hats off to his team of courteous young men, I haven't met such professional and kind workers in a long time. I did not do a lot of price shopping, so I really don't know if the price is the best, but this company/Scott is so dependable that even if I found a cheaper place, I would not have gone with them. Rare quality of service.

I was referred to Scott Arnold at Rycor for emergency no heat service on my 2 year old Adams high efficiency oil furnace, via the manufacturer and Yuan Supply in New Paltz. The furnace was installed by another local oil company, but since I was no longer a customer, they would only service it for an $185/hour (yikes!). My current oil company tried to service it, but also very expensive. They installed the wrong part and gave up, then tried to pressure me into purchasing a new propane furnace. Scott at Rycor responded right away and sent over Mike, a technician who consulted with the manufacturer's tech support and got the furnace running with the right parts. When it stopped running again a day later, Scott and Mike both came over and methodically troubleshooted and found that the oil line was clogged, among a few other problems. On this second visit, they told me if the problem resurfaced in the next two weeks, they would come back and fix it for free. What I really appreciate about Scott's service is that he stands behind his work. They are smart, honest, professional, dependable and reliable. They charge a reasonable rate for labor with no extra charge for after hours service. In my mind, there is absolutely no need for me to purchase a service contract with an oil company ever again when Rycor can handle it more efficiently and for much less cost.

Scott was punctual, knowledgeable and very pleasant - he appeared eager to please. Unfortunately for me, his estimate for travel time cost was double the quote he gave me on the phone. I sent him a note describing my displeasure. His office called and said they were sorry - that did not help me at all. I would not use Scott Arnold again because he mis-communicated his fee for coming to my home. I had told him I was living on social security and could afford a certain amount. He was not honest about his fee.

it went 100% they were very clean, and fast, very organized too. Nice polite guys. Gone by noon.

When I called and spoke with the owner, Scott, I was surprised that they could come out the same day! Other companies had told me it would be a few days. The tech called ahead, showed up on time, was friendly and was very knowledgeable as to the workings of my unit. He simply explained the problem to me, replaced the part and was out the door! I would highly recommend them to anyone! I will definitely use them again!!
