It went smoothly at first except for the fact that the worker did not seem happy to be working for them. Afterwards, I had moved the hanging pole and it was chipped immediatley and it was never replaced. They told me that it must have been the way that I pulled it out. It should be pretty durable for the price I paid. I asked them to fix this but they mumbled and combed over it and did not address it. Then I asked for them to put in sliding doors. I also told them I wanted closets in the living room and bedroom. They said they were working with a new company named new york sliding doors. We decided to do sliding doors over the kitchen. We started putting sliding doors over other closets. They realized after this that the glass could not be used in the living room and bedroom closets. I have two doors in the bedroom and on one side if you look toward the doors it has one block of wood lodged up against it. The door frames are not in sinc and the screws are not even flush. I had to tell them to take out black screws because they looked so tacky. When they first put in the sliding door in the kitchen they put in a metal ramp. I have tripped on it several times and it has chipped. It is not flush at all. Where the doors hand they are not even flush with the wall. There are many places through my home that are not flush where the doors should be. When they put in my book cases they all sunk in the middle. They had to come out and put in new book shelves. All the doors fell off in the living room and they had to replace the hinges. The bedroom closets have slide out drawers fell off onto my toes. I asked for locks on my bedroom door and my bedroom closet door and my bathroom door. I can only open my bedroom door with the lock. They never put locks on the bathroom or bedroom closet door. They sent me a letter that was incredibly rude. The letter states " We started your work on an agreement in 2007. The original work started octoboer of that same year. Since then it has been returned trip after returned trip to no avail. I met with you personally along with representatives of highlines. It has been a quagmire of shifting expectations. We have stayed with this job for over 4 long years because that is who we are. This letter is to inform you that we have elected to walk away instead of throwing more good money away for bad. Through our election to walk away we have decided that this contract is complete and we will not try to do any more work. Please do not contact us for any more work on your home. We are worn our and we are done. This is the first time in 28 years that any thing like this has occured. We suggest you look inside yourself and determine your culpability and the total breakdown of this job to the point where we are willing to walk away from $7000." They are beyond an F and I would not recomend them to anyone.
