The first visit for furnace cleaning and service was great, decided to have them back to fix leaky faucets feeding the clothes washer. After weeks of back and forth phone tag, I just left a message for them come on the 6th of January. They confirmed over voice mail. Chris and Josh showed up a half hour early and were about to set to work when I realized that I did not get a price due to the phone tag. To my surprise he said $600. Chris said it was an "intensive" process, that he had to drain the water lines. Being a first time home owner, I could not say whether this was fair or not. Two hours later, he was finished with the faucet hookups, one "T" joint repair, and a partial dryer hose exhaust replacement. The hose was $50 total he said. The overall total was $695.00 ($600 faucets, $50 dryer, $45 tax) and I was surprised the "intensive" process lasted only TWO hours. Having been bed ridden for the last week I was in no shape to dispute, so we just paid unfortunately. I have since researched that a MASTER plumber team charges at MOST $150 an hour. The supplies could not have cost more than $100 (easily less), meaning they charged at least $250 an hour! We asked for an itemization of the costs on the receipt from Chris and everything is lumped together....so not helpful at all. It is invoice # 5768. I called Chris over a week ago and left a message that I think he overcharged me and that I would like him to explain the costs to me. He has not returned the call.

They were very good, and on time. I was happy with the service, but they didn’t find the problem the furnace.

Chris, the owner, is very honest. He is very upfront about what you need and what you don't need. He likes what he does and it really shows through. They did a really nice and professional job. Chris is very professional and I have been extremely satisfied with his work. They cleaned up well and left nothing behind. They were always on time, responsive, and I have absolutely no complaints.

We were pleased with the visit. They had to cancel our first appt. but gave sufficient notice. They arrived promptly at the 2nd appointment. They worked quickly and efficiently, explaining the problem and how to fix it. We asked them to check another problem with low pressure in another bathroom so they took a look at the basement pipes and discussed various options. Chris communicates well, certainly knows his business, and the price was reasonable. I would definitely use them again.

Initial meeting for estimate was on time and very professional. The quote paperwork was even typed up and emailed to us. The price seemed reasonable and we were ready to go with them. They weren't as responsive to our emails for updates on the type of boiler specs and installation instructions asked for by our Town Inspector for permits. Then they just stopped responding to my husband's emails and calls all together. Never responded to explain what happened. It's like they went out of business or something. Very unprofessional. We both work full time and don't have time to hunt down contractors we are begging to give our business to. After about 2 weeks of repeatedly trying to get a hold of them, we gave up and gave the work to another contractor we got a quote from.

The following is the direct quote from my daugher's husband: "Chris and his team did an amazing job. He demonstrated a real expertise for what he was doing from the moment he came to do the inspection. He took the time to listen to what we were looking for, eased our concerns and provided us options to consider all of which were competitive. He answered a number of our follow up questions and took the time to provide additional information back which made our decision even easier. He and his team took extra time during the installation to move a number of things in our attic to make space for the unit. They also were very careful with my wife's dark wood floors and cleaned up after themselves after each day of work. They finished very quickly (faster than expected) which was great since we were in a hot spell. They took care to ensure that everything worked perfectly by testing and retesting the unit and vents. I think it's also worth noting that since the installation Chris has taken the time to not only repond to emails but also has come by to re-callibrate the unit a bit. He did so to rework the air flow a bit between rooms so they're optimal for our family and also tested everything again when we were curious of the sound it was making. Turns out it was just a new system that we weren't used to as it has since settled in more and we hardly notice. We recommend Chris and CJ highly and are happy to answer any questions and provide further details upon request."

Service wasn't a good experience. They had bad customer service. It was difficult to get in touch with the service repair man, and when I did reach him he was only asking for a check. He brought his daughter to the job site which I found to be unprofessional.

Chris, with his assistant Sheldon, did an amazing job! Chris is an excellent clear communicator and will make sure you understand and approve of every decision. They were very clean, punctual, and very reasonably priced. From the first contact, Chris conceptualized the job in an intelligent accurate manner. The installation was slated to go 4 days and went exactly as planned. He installed the ducts with sensitivity to saving closet space and leaving room for future use of the attic. We had looked at three other contractors and his plan and price was by far the best. The system works beautifully. There is definitely a reason why this business is ranked so high on Angies list. I have always heard: "price, service, quality: pick 2" WIth CJ you can get all three!

Sheldon arrived, right on time... was professional, friendly and knowledgeable ( a combination rare, now-a-days). He advised us our set up was a pleasure to work on and took care of everything (no problems found). We were so pleased with his work and professionalism, we forgot to print/give him our Angie's list coupon and/or ask for a Senior discount ;).......... Very impressed, would certainly refer them!!! A++

Both Chris and Sheldon were very professional and efficient workers. They answered all of our questions and did an excellent and workman like job. We were especially impressed that they worked neatly and were respectful of our home and its contents. We most certanly be having Chris and Sheldon service our unit annually.

I found CJ on Angie's list and contacted him on July 9th to set up appointment. He advised me that his normal charge to assess the system was $75 but since it was a Saturday he would charge me double ($150). I was ok with the $150 as he was coming at my convenience. He showed up promptly at our appointment on July 13 and upon seeing that I have two compressors (one for the upstairs and one fore the downstairs) he advised that he would have to charge me another $125 to do his assessment. I didn't think that it was right BUT since he was already at my home, I agreed to the additonal charge. CJ looked at both compressors and after some time checking on the comressors and air handlers he was able to get the downstairs unit working properly. He advised that the upstairs system needed a part and that he would order the part on Monday (July 15) and then make arrangements with us to come back to install it. I paid him the $275 for his services and discussed how much more it would cost for him to come back when he obtained the part to finish. He advised that if he had to come back on a weekend it would be double again ( I think he was going to charge us $125 plus the cost of the part) and my wife and i discussed coming up to the house on a weekday to save the extra charges. I contacted CJ on Monday afternoon (July 15) to find out if he had ordered the part and to make arrangements for him to finish the job. He told me he was having a hard time finding the part and that he would keep me posted. (Note that my HVAC system is made by Goodman, which is a major manufacturer so i could not understand the difficulty in finding a part). Not having heard from CJ by the end of that week, I contacted him again on July 19 to get an update. He didin't respond to my email and I once again emailed him on July 26 to find out when he would be coming back with the part. He ignored my email and i once again emailed hin on July 29 and he then advised me that he was still having a hard time finding the part and that he would keep me posted. He once again did not contact me that week and when he didin't respond again, I sent him an email on August 5 advising him that his services were no longer desired and that I would find someone else to finish the job. I wanted to use local service providersto work on my house (CJ's house is 3 miles from mine) and truly do not understand CJ's total lack of communication and inability to finish this job. I did not mind being overcharged for Saturday work BUT did mind being charged extra because my system was different than what he thought it would be. I have hired someone else (from Angie's list) to re-inspect the upstairs unit and they are coming this Saturday (and not charging an extra fee for coming on a weekend). Hopefully this story will have a happy ending.

Chris and his helper, Sheldon worked on this central air job for three days. Each day, they were punctual, friendly, courteous, and extremely respectful regarding our property. They put drop cloths down where ever they were traveling inside my home, protecting my light colored carpeting. When they installed the duct work and vents in my ceiling, I was shocked that there was no mess whatsoever! Chris and Sheldon were a great team; I could hear them cooperating and discussing aspects of the job with respect towards one another. It was a pleasure having them around! At the completion of each work day, Chris asked if there were any questions about the job. He also said to call him at any time if I came up with any questions after he was gone. When the job was completed (exactly when Chris had told me it would be finished), Chris thoroughly explained how to work the a.c. unit. The a.c. works wonderfully. Chris and his team are total professionals, and I recommend them highly!

The service was good, and we would recommend CJ's. There was an issue we discovered the next day which was rectified within hours.

We had to reschedule three times before the inspection was done - once due a last-minute Dr. appt. (me) and twice due to inclement (pouring!!) weather (the business called). I'm glad I waited. Sheldon (the service rep): - called before he arrived - was very professional - answered all my questions with patience - went above and beyond by looking at and adjusting the thermostat on my attic fan He made it clear that the business would contact me for routine service in the future, but was not at all pushy about it. Overall, A+; I will keep using this business for my A/C needs.

Showed up right at the time I expected them. Took a quick look around and discussed my system - age of unit, how it's running, any problems, etc. Got right to work and told me everything he was doing. Was there for about an hour and cleaned up after himself. Well worth the price. I will absolutely use these guys again.

Our furnace constantly required restarting for days until one day it didn't come on at all.. We called CJ Heating as they serviced our furnace in Sept of 2012 for preventive maintenance. The tech that showed up inspected the furnace and said "it was either the CPU or low water indicator". He then went on to say "that if it were the CPU, the cost could be upwards of $800 to replace it." So, he recommended just disconnecting the low water indicator to see it that would resolve the issue. Well, it did! we haven't had an issue with it since. CJ Heating could have been dishonest and told us it was the CPU and charged us the $800. However, they were very honest and saved us the cost by performing the simple task of bypassing the low water indicator. I would definitely recommend CJ Heating based on their honesty alone..

On the first hot day of the season I found out that our central A/C was not working. I contacted CJ Heating and Air Conditioning late in the day around 5 PM and was told they could come at 8:30 AM tomorrow, which was fine with me because I expected I might have to wait a week or so since I was a new customer and everybody who had A/C problems was finding out the same time as I. He was swamped with work but showed up promptly as he had stated. He quickly found the problem, cleaned and repaired the compressor and was done in about 1 hour. He was very personable and explained what he was doing. The area was spotless after he left. It was the best service anyone could ever expect. He is my "go to" guy for all my future A/C problems and annual service! It is now 30 hours later and the system works like it is brand new.

They did not want to handle getting involved with an asbestos abatement contractor.

It was very hot when I called him. He said he could come, but he could not come until the end of the day as he was busy. I called him back as I was having a leak and nobody could find out where it was. I appreciated the fact that he was honest. The price was reasonable. He went up on the roof when it was raining. It was difficult to diagnose. He is terrific. It was amazing.

The installation went just as he explained and there were no surprises. We would highy recommmend CJ Heating and Air Conditioning.
