Description of Work: I needed two windows replaced,one in a garage door the other in a exterior door. They were single pane glass and was a relatively small job. It took two days to get a response which was that they couldn't do it because the house was too old. Bad excuse. They just couldn't be bothered wIth such a small job.

[member name removed], we are sorry we could not help you and wish things were different but the new laws are a reality. We can not take the chance in repairing a window/windows in an old house because of the new laws concerning the lead in the paint and putty. These laws are available for you to brush up on via the internet and or your town building inspector. I know it is fustrating but anyone not properly licenced that does a repair that has lead involved can be subject to a $10,000.00 fine! I'm sorry be as a reputal business I'm not about to take that chance. We are not in the buisness to turn away buisness so no it is not in any way that we didn't want to bother with your job. We hope you can find someone that can legaly help you with your window repair.

Description of Work: Removed and installed a new, approx. 5 ft x 4 ft., double glazed, picture window. Was given two estimates based on difficulty of installation, pending inspection of window framing. Happily, they stuck with the lower quote. Job was done precisely on time. Installers were courteous, careful, and prefessional. They did a beautiful job.

Description of Work: I have used Pleasantville Glass on a few occasions, and am 100% thrilled with their work. Anthony is very knowledgable, and eager to help to fix anything, no matter how small the job. His staff is extremely helpful and dedicated to customer service. Michele always replies in a timely manner, and follows up on progress. They, recently, saved me $5000 on all new bedroom windows, by fixing a window that I was told (by two other "professionals") that was irreparable. .

The owner came to fix our shower curtain. He saw the problem and knew how to fix it. He was punctual, explained the problem and dealtt with it efficiently. It took him no more than 30 minutes to fix and charged me d$80. I believe this is the going rate so I gave him an "A".

I choose Pleasantville Glass because they provided the best quote ($110) and were up-front about the time it would take to have the repair done (they needed to order the glass). They called me within the timeframe they promised and the quoted price was the final price.
Description of Work: My storm door window was broken, after calling several different glass companies who quoted anywhere from $250 - $350 to repair
