Joe came to my house for an estimate I showed him what I needed done. This man stood in my kitchen and gave me a price for everything I needed done. I asked him if I get a written estimate because I gave him a $100.00 deposit , he told me he doesnt do paper he does everything by text message, and that he would send me a text with the Itemization which I never received. When he came to do the Job which was to install a toilet bowl. this was the first issue he told me the person that laid the floor must have took off the Flange I told him it was never there that I laid the floor in which he replied you didnt lay this floor and the Flange was there when I came to look at the bathroom. I live in Queens and work in Long Island and I had to drive home to show him a picture of the bathroom before I laid the floor to prove the Flange was not there. It took him from 11:30 am to 8:30 PM (he was supposed to be there at 9:00 am he was 2 1/2 hours late ) to install a toilet bowl a bathroom sink replace 4 valves and replace shut off valve on my gas line. The prices he told me per item changed when the work was done.When I mentioned that he said that is why they call it an estimate. He turned off the gas and when he turned it back on he did not relight the pilot light on the boiler or the hot water heater I got the hot water one lit but cant get the boiler light lit. Thank goodness someone was there when he gave me the estimate because he was changing all the prices and what he said was included. I dont even want him back in my house to do the other 2 things he was supposed to do. He insinuated I was lying on numerous issues. The work he did was good but he was very slow. he is also very insulting . Without saying the word liar he called me one. Telling me I did not lay the floor in the bathroom and making my drive all the way home on my lunch hour to show him the flange was not there. He may do good work but it was not worth the aggravation he put me through. If you are going to hire this man make sure you get everything in writing. Maybe it was because I am a woman and he thought he could get over. I never had a problem with anyone from Home Advisor this is a first .

Joe was courteous, explained everything, was responsive via text and got the job done. Had a cracked pipe under my kitchen sink that he replaced.

A leak needed to be repaired between the upstairs bathroom and an alleyway overhang. The project had to be done from the inside out and the outside in, which Joe seemed to do without an issue. The toilet bowl was removed and a crack was found in the waste pipe. The pipe had to be accessed and replaced from the overhang in the alleyway. Not a straightforward job, but Joe did it and replaced everything with professional results.

I would definitely recommend Simple Event Inc to anyone. Not only does Joe do great work. He is a person of integrity. My mother s memory is failing and she made the mistake of paying him everything before the job was finished. Joe called me to let me know the situation so that I would be sure not to pay him again for a job that was already paid for in advance. He completed the plumbing job and we are very happy with the results.

I called Joe and he came the same Day… After hours at 6:30… He found a small leak in the gas pipe behind my stove… he also Went to Home Depot to get the replacement part and installed it… All easy and very reasonable price and he is a true professional I would recommend him to anyone looking for a home plumbing issues ...thanks Joe!

We wanted to have as little demolition to the floors and walls as possible and replace all leaking pipes to bathroom and kitchen fixtures due to pipe freeze prolonged by Con ED delays. Joe accomplished this mission expertly and succeeded with very little demolition. The house original architecture remains intact.

Joe is great in an emergency situation. I had a problem with a toilet in a 1 bathroom home fixed same day Very friendly and efficient. Took care of a couple other issues also. Makes sure everything is cleaned up before he left. Would use him again.

Excellent service! My parents had a gas leak coming from their stove top for a couple of weeks! They had a different plumber come and he said it was fine! I looked up simple event and when I spoke to Joe, he was able to come the same day. He showed me where the leak was coming from, fixed it very quickly and tested the line again to show me the leak was fixed. He taught me how to shut off the gas if that were to happen again. Joe was very nice and did a great job. I will definitely use his services again.
