Tom & Nick did most if not all the work and made sure it was done properly and the attention to detail were truly magnificent. I am beyond pleased with the windows and how they look...the house never looked better!~

very clean. nice guys. knew what they were doing. took the time too double check. but all in all very pleased. the window was huge. price reasonable. vinyl inside.

Lead man started a fire on our patio, damaged our new metal roof, put a screw through a wire and was rather over talkative. He would show up late and take off early.

The salesman at the show room was thorougyh, and the workers who came to measure, and then install the window were punctual, friendly, and highly professional. The window looks great.

Called to make an estimate appointment for easily a $50,000 project replacing siding on our 4500sq ft victorian by Fall 2013. In addition to the siding we need to replace approximately 30 windows next spring so we were getting ballparks for that work as well. We had taken bids from a couple contractors already and wanted an estimate from Comfort. Not only did we have to wait 2 weeks to get an appointment because they were "busy with fair stuff" but then they insisted on a Saturday because the estimators "don't work after 4pm" okay fine I make an appointment for Saturday afternoon since I work Saturday mornings. The estimator, his name escapes me, called 3 times from noon to 1pm, fully knowing I was not home asking if he could come over early. Then when no call was returned within 45 minutes he suddenly "ran over a curb" and had "a flat tire" and couldn't come. He would reschedule. Not only did they not call to reschedule for almost a week, I found the unprofessional bullcrap so terrible I did not even bother getting the estimate. Not worth wasting my time on this kind of crap.

The job was originally scheduled for three days, they showed up on time with all the materials and two installers had (17) of the windows in the first day. The second day they brought two additional installers and completed everything this second day including inside woodwork and exterior aluminum wrapping of exposed wood and caulking. These guys were great, they removed their shoes every time they came into the house, they put a tarp on the floor while working on every window. They worked it so that the window was only open to the outside for a couple of minutes (except for the full rip out ones), so the house never got cold. They removed all the old windows and debris and cleaned up after themselves and explained the operation of the windows before they left. They were polite and professional at all times, extremely happy with their work and the new windows.

This much needed home improvement project went smoothly and without problems. After visiting three window showrooms, one big box store and attending a spring homeshow - when we walked into the Comfort Window Showroom - we immediately sensed we were in the right place for the job. Every person we came in contact with - from the Receptionist (Terry), the Sales Manager (Joe S.), the Sales Associate (Tom P.), the final measurer (Aaron) and the terrific install team (Don E. and Nick) - was courteous and professional. It was well worth the trip to the showroom. We had all our questions answered, received a thorough presentation on the window & trim choices. I especially appreciated their no pressure sales style - Comfort, a NY State company, appears confident and proud of their product. A special note regarding the install team - these two guys knew what they were doing - they are from the "measure twice, cut once" school - most refreshing - arrived on time, took their shoes off, consulted us regarding the trim and cleaned up/ vacuumed when they were done. There was only one small problem with one of the screens afterwards that none of us noticed and they came out promptly to fix it. More positive points: Comfort does not use sub-contracters, their employees genuinely seem to like their jobs and aim to please in a sincere manner. Communication was excellent. We have not gone through a full winter yet with the new windows, but we feel confident enough to highly recommend this company...solid, quality products with excellent customer service to match!

It went very well. They were prompt and went out of the way to make sure it was done right. They corrected issues that happen when my windows were originally installed.

Comfort has a great ad and so we arranged for an estimate from them as well as several other estimates and Comfort's price of $12,000 was right in the middle. It took about 8 weeks from contract signing until the project start date. The (3 man) crew was very professional and hard-working considering they did our entire house in that 90+ degree Mid-July week of temperatures in about 10 days. They were not always there at 7:30 am like they said they would be, but their quality and workmanship made up for it. There were a couple of days when they left to do other small jobs and so it took a few extra days to complete our house. They told us that Comfort would have allotted 21 days to complete this job in Rochester and for some reason they only allotted 7 days here in Buffalo.. not sure why the discrepancy. We are very VERY pleased with the attention to detail that this crew had (Joey M. was the crew leader) and they did not take any shortcuts. I would use their services again and would highly recommend their work. We have a brand new (looking) house!

The sales man (Michael Flynn) was two hours late for the first appointment . He forgot about the second one, and canceled the third one, after sending a conformation E-mail the day before. If they can't even show up to get the job, what can you expect from them when they have your money?

Came for original appointment on time. No pressure. Workmen were efficient and careful not to make a mess. No complaints about anything. Love the window.

Very courteous, thorough, and professional. Rather pricey to replace, because replacement windows were to be high quality insulated replacement windows made for heated spaces. I did not have the windows replaced and decided to fix the existing single-pane wooden windows instead. I had no problem with their price quote, but I felt the installation was a bit of "overkill" for an unheated porch. I want to say that they were very professional and provided a ton of information with their price quote. I would not hesitate to hire them to do the work, but felt the better solution was to fix the windows myself.

Workmenship was very good preformed in a reasonable amount of time. We are enjoying the quality of the product and installation five years latter.

They were prompt, courteous, and did an excellent job. I am very pleased with the results.

I contacted them because the 1st roofing contractor I contracted declined do do a window extimate and the 2nd one was late getting back to me. The representative who came explained everything to my satisfaction in terms of what I wanted (I had read up on windows), and he granted me the 25% December discount, even though it was the first week of January. But even without that discount he was below a major creditor. The only reason I didn't hire him was that the 2nd roofing contractor (also on Angie's list) gave me a sufficient volume discount on all the work. But I would definite use them for any future window work. (None of the work I got estimates for will be done until at least late winter.)

I was extremely impressed and pleased dealing with Comfort Windows. I had 6 original windows replaced in my house. Tom Y. and Tom P. arrived on January 4 at 8:30 am (right on time). This was the coldest day of the year with a strong wind blowing the entire day. They started work right away and worked tirelessly until about 4:00 pm. They even had to shovel snow from in front of my windows! They installed all the interior trim work and came back the next day to finish the trim work on the outside. When Tom came in the house, he always put covers over his shoes and he put a plastic drop cloth on the floor. After the window was installed, he vacuumed the floor. He even re-hung 2 blinds and curtains in my bedroom and helped me move my TV in the living room! When I couldn't get the TV to turn on, he got it running again. He didn't have to do this and I was grateful for his help. They were friendly, professional and had a high work ethic. Even though the windows were pricey, I went with Comfort Windows because of the quality of the windows and the fact that they are made in western New York. Doug, the Sales Rep spent time with me in the showroom and then came to my house to explain the differences in the windows that they offer. The person who came to measure my windows was very professional and measured all of my windows even though I was only getting 6 replaced at this time. I will definitely use them again. I still need 5 more windows replaced which I will get done later this year. I can't say enough about Comfort Windows. What a great company!

They came back to me and told me that they would give me last year’s price. I was just going to do a few of them but when I found out what the price was, I had them do all of my windows. They do an excellent job. They are thorough, clean, and are prompt.

My husband and I are very happy with the work they did. The windows are gorgeous!

I had a very, very good experience with Comfort Window and Door. The installers were excellent, took their time, covered the inside of the house and cleaned up nicely. They also did an excellent job of matching the trim. I was very pleased with the service. They were the lowest price out of the three estimates I got. I would definitely use them again.

Their estimate was too high so I will not be using them.

Estimator/sales person came to take measurements and provide a quote. After signing the contract, another person came by to take "official" measurements prior to the manufacture of the windows. Windows are very good quality, made locally. It took less than 4 weeks to manufacture the windows and the appointment to install them was made. The crew showed up on time, covered their shoes before coming into the house and began to work. The entire project was done in less than 6 hours and everything went well. The crew took nothing for granted and remeasured one last time before removing the old windows to be sure the product that they had to install was an exact fit.
